Steps to apply for Ireland Visa:

1. Financial documents (Balance tuition fees + 10000 Euros per year for living expense)

2. Police Clearance Certificate from passport office.

3. Passport + copies of any previous passports

4. Offer Letter & Confirmation of Fees paid to university

5. Medical insurance of the student

6. IELTS Score Card/TOEFL/PTE/Duolingo

7. Resume

8. All academic documents - Marksheets + Certificates (10th to latest)

9. Job Offer letter, salary slips (3 months) + Experience Letter of last Company of the student (if
applicable)

10. Experience letters of Previous companies (if applicable)

11. Affidavit of support of sponsors

12. ITRs of 3 years of sponsors

13. Two passport-sized pictures (Should not be old more than 6 months)

14. Documents related to previous visa refusals from any country if any

15. Cover letter

16. Check & Verify Form

There are 12 VFS centres in India. Student can choose any centre as per his/her convenience.

20. Financial Summary Form (FSF)


Make the bunch of all these original documents with one photocopy of each and go to the
Visa Application Centre (VAC). Also, banks should have Internet banking facility as funds are
verified by the embassy and don’t make any transactions in the bank account once the visa
has been filed.

COMMON QUESTIONS:
1. When to apply for visa?
Ans - You can submit your visa application four months in advance of your course start date.
The latest an application will be accepted is three weeks prior to your course start date.
Applications received less than three weeks prior to the course start date will be returned
unprocessed.

2. What type of financial documents are allowed for Ireland Visa?


Ans – Following documents are acceptable.

A) Latest up-to-date bank statement, showing what money has been paid into and out of
the account over the last six months. Bank statements must be on headed paper. Your
name, address, account number and account type must be visible on the statement. Any
large or irregular transactions must be explained with the evidence.

B) Fixed Deposits
C) PF, PPF or GPF
All financial documents should be 6 months old. Bank statement and Bank certificate of
student (6 months old) is mandatory to attach with bank stamp and signature on every
page.

Credit cards or Market-linked funds, e.g., crypto, shares or mutual funds, and gold deposits
or valuations, are not accepted.

3. Is Education loan acceptable?


Ans – Yes, Education loan is acceptable but still student has to show some liquid funds.

If you are availing of a student loan then complete original documentation in relation to that
loan must be submitted. The sanction letter on its own is not sufficient. Where property is
guaranteeing a loan, the deeds of that property must be submitted. Where the source of
funds is the sale of an asset (e.g., house or land) evidence of the sale must be submitted.

4. Who all can be the sponsors?


Ans – Family members, relatives or anyone if relationship with the student can be proved on
papers.

5. What is the visa processing time?


Ans – Around 6-8 weeks.

6. How much is the visa fees?


Ans – It takes around Rs 17300 (approx. 200 Euros) which includes visa fees, VFS
service charges, and check and verify fees, courier fees and SMS service fees. Make
sure to choose check and & verify service without fail.

7. Can we apply visa in priority?


Ans – No, there is no any concept called Priority visa in Ireland. We have to follow
the normal visa procedure.

8. What is the minimum passport validity for visa?


Ans - Passport should have at least six months validity at the time of making
application for grant of visa. It should have at least two blank pages for stamping by
the Immigration Officer. The validity of all visas will commence from the date of
issue of visa.

9. Is there any interview for Ireland student visa?


Ans – Few students in January 2024 intake had received the call from the embassy
directly and were asked basic questions about the funds, sponsors, university,
course modules, etc. We take the mock interview of every Ireland student to make
sure that our students are ready if any such call comes from the embassy.

10. How student can track the visa application after submitting it?
Ans - To track your application status, log on to the Visa Application Centre website
using your reference number and your surname.

11. Will Embassy verify the funds?


Ans – Yes, we have to select the check and verify service while paying the visa fees.
Once documents are submitted in the embassy, student or sponsor will receive an
Email for the fund verification. Kindly make sure that Internet banking is activated
and check and verify form should be submitted with the visa application. ITRs can
also be verified.

12. How much tuition fees needs to be paid?


Ans - 6000 Euros tuition fees need to pay if the fees is 13000 or less than it. 50 %
tuition fees need to be paid if fees is more than 13000 Euros. In some offer letters,
university clearly mentions that 60 % or full tuition fees needs to be paid so make
sure that offer letter is read carefully.
FEW POINTS TO REMEMBER :-

• Make sure that updated bank statement and bank balance certificate is used. Documents till one
day before submitting the AVATS form are advisable. For example, if AVATS form is submitted
on 23rd November then bank statement should be from 22 May to 22 November and bank
balance certificate should be made on 22nd November. Documents should not be old more than
one week from the date of visa application.

• Please do not do any transactions after visa application in the bank account till the visa decision
comes as embassy verifies the funds. Kindly tell the student to check the Email and sponsor
Email also as embassy will send the Email for funds verification and it will be done through
internet banking. All bank documents should have bank stamp and branch head signature.
Online statements are accepted if they have stamp and signature on it.
