10 Things I Hate About
10 Things I Hate About
10 Things I Hate About
Summary
There are things that would make everyone hate someone rather it’s a situation depending on
a memory that is either embarrassing and/or a prank and they are the victim of. But for
Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley it was ten things that aggravate both of them; and it
wasn’t any embarrassing moments that happened between the two of them or a prank. But the
very fact that it was stuff about each other that annoys them. To everyone else at Hogwarts; it
was an enemies to love situation that had sparks bets around everyone including the seventh
years and teachers and staff. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen until sixth year that Romione, a
shipname that someone had called them, got together.
Notes
This fic came to me when I was watching 10 Things I Hate About You! to make this very
clear Ron is Kat and Hermione is Patrick in this fic. Also it made sense to have Ron and
Ginny be Kat and Bianca since they are siblings as well.
There were ten things that Hermione Granger hates about Ron Weasley:
1) Despite the fact that he doesn’t study or put a lot of effort into his school work like she
does but still manage to get good grades, it made her furious since her grade went from an O
to an A. She didn’t care what professor Sprout said about pasting and copying text word from
word in her essay, she deserved that O.
2) His “Emotional range of a teaspoon” (despite the fact that it's more Hermione doesn’t have
one.) and how in her mind doesn’t understand people's feelings.
3) Ron would always wait until the last minute to do his homework despite the fact that he’s
not the only teenager to do this.
4) His inability to understand cues single again despite the fact that she as well doesn’t
automatically respond to them if she is not the one to use a single cue.
8) Or the fact that he has dated Lavender Brown and still managed to be friends with her.
Even though she wasn't able to do that after breaking up with Victor Krum.
9) His tendency to break rules despite the fact that he and his best friend Harry “claim” they
don’t go looking to break the rules.
10) And last but not least the fact that he managed to make her have feelings for him; and the
fact that she had agreed to a bet that all but hurt his feelings and she has no one to blame but
herself.
Prologue: Ron Weasley's 10 things he hates about Hermione
Granger
Chapter Summary
1) He hates whenever she feels self-righteousness when it comes to things that she thinks
everyone should know.
2) Her inability to admit when she is wrong especially if it looks like her cat ate his rat. It
doesn’t matter that in reality that the rat was Peter Pettigrew. Especially if you consider at the
time they didn’t know that.
3) Or the way she judges people for not getting it right on the first try when it comes to spell
work. Not everyone is a fast paste when it comes to getting things done.
4) The way she completely sucks up to the adults unless of course they prove to her that
something is wrong with them.
5) Her hypocrisy; apparently it’s okay for her to do things that to others would be mess up but
heaven forbid anyone else does them, then it’s okay to get a lecture from her.
6) The fact that apparently you have to be a mind reader to know what she is getting at
instead of actually talking to someone to explain something.
7) The way she thinks that she is right just because she read from a book. Not everything in
the books is correct.
8) Or the way that she would judge another person's family as a whole after just meeting the
last family and think that everyone is like that to house elf.
9) Or the fact that she thinks that she knows about another person culture just because she
read a book about said culture.
10) Lastly, he hates the fact that he started to gain feelings for a girl that he thought he hated
but turned out it was just all a bet and the fact that he allowed her to hurt his feelings once
more.
