Hello everyone, I'm Hardika Kafle, and I'm thrilled to be here sharing my journey
during my On-the-Job Training (OJT). Over the last four years, I've been pursuing
a diploma in civil engineering at Shree Pragatisheel Secondary School.
Throughout my OJT, I had the honor of working with the talented team at
EngineeKo Ghar Pvt. Ltd, situated in Jadibuti-35, Kathmandu. This experience has
been truly special as it allowed me to dive into the captivating realm of
architectural drawing. I harbor a deep passion for translating imaginative
concepts into tangible designs, and the precision and creativity demanded in
architectural drawing have always resonated with me. Working alongside
proficient professionals at EngineeKo Ghar not only broadened my
understanding of this field but also fueled my enthusiasm to make meaningful
contributions to the field of architectural design.
Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and
contribute to meaningful projects. I am truly appreciative of the knowledge and
skills I have gained during this period, and I look forward to carrying these
experiences with me as I continue to pursue a fulfilling career in the field of civil
engineering.

 EngineerKo Ghar, a dynamic consulting company, stands as a beacon of


epitomizes professionalism and innovation, holding registrations with Nepal's
concerned ministers and departments. Specializing in engineering, health,
education, agriculture, and forestry, it was founded by a group of young,
energetic professionals dedicated to consulting over the past year. EngineerKo
Ghar has committed itself to delivering high-quality services in water resources,
energy, infrastructure, natural resources, and community development.
 The OJT site at EngineerKo Ghar, situated in the vibrant landscape of
Kathmandu, KMC-32, is a testament to Nepal's consulting prowess. To fully
appreciate the significance of this OJT opportunity, delving into EngineerKo
Ghar's extensive background and socio-environmental context is essential.
 The company's mission is to assemble a team of talented multidisciplinary
professionals delivering high-quality services in water resources, energy,
infrastructure, natural resources, and community development.
Objective of OJT
Good Reputation:EngineeKo Ghar is known for doing great work in architectural
design.They have a good reputation for coming up with creative and eco-
friendly solutions.
Learning Atmosphere:I liked that the company encourages a friendly and
learning-focused environment.The idea of working with a skilled team that also
helps me learn was a big draw.
Professional Growth:I wanted to gain hands-on experience in a place where
they aim for high quality.I saw it as a chance to grow professionally and learn
from the best.
Varied Projects:EngineeKo Ghar works on many different kinds of projects, which
sounded interesting.I wanted to try my hand at various tasks and face new
challenges.
Meaningful Work:The company's commitment to meaningful projects was
important to me.I wanted to be part of work that makes a positive impact.

In short, I chose EngineeKo Ghar because they have a good name, a friendly
learning environment, opportunities for professional growth, diverse projects, and
a focus on meaningful work.
Overview Of OJT Period
 I undertook my On-the-Job Training at EngineeKo Ghar Pvt. Ltd.
 I had the privilege of contributing to various architectural drawing projects during this
period.
 Throughout my On-the-Job Training at EngineeKo Ghar Pvt. Ltd., I had the valuable
opportunity to collaborate closely with two outstanding professionals, Supervisor Ishu
Mainali and Engineer Adeeti Kafle. Working under the guidance of Supervisor Ishu Mainali,
I gained valuable insights. Additionally, Engineer Adeeti Kafle provided valuable
mentorship. Their guidance not only enriched my technical skills but also provided me with
a holistic view of the architectural and engineering processes. I am grateful for the
collaborative spirit and mentorship I received from both Ishu Mainali and Engineer Adeeti
Kafle, contributing significantly to my professional growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
During my On-the-Job Training at EngineeKo Ghar Pvt. Ltd, my role in architectural drawing came with
a set of rules and responsibilities that were crucial to the success of our projects. Some of the key
guidelines and tasks included:
Precision and Detail: Making sure every architectural drawing was precise and paid attention to the
smallest details.
Design Compliance: Ensuring that my drawings matched the design requirements for each project.
Meeting Deadlines: Completing drawings on time to keep the projects on schedule.
Quality Check: Reviewing drawings thoroughly to catch and fix any mistakes before finalizing them.
Teamwork: Contributing ideas in team meetings and incorporating feedback to improve drawings.
Learning and Improvement: Keeping up with new techniques and tools to continually improve my
drawing skills.
Key Learnings
• During my On-the-Job Training at EngineeKo Ghar Pvt. Ltd., the most crucial
lesson I learned was the importance of meticulous attention to detail in
architectural drawing.
• This experience honed my ability to carefully craft precise designs, ensuring
accuracy and quality in every project.
• I developed effective teamwork and communication skills while
collaborating with my colleagues, especially in discussions with Supervisor Ishu
Masinali and Engineer Adeeti Kafle.
• My OJT taught me that a combination of precision, collaboration, and
technological proficiency is key to success in the field of architectural
drawing.

During my On-the-Job Training at EngineeKo Ghar Pvt. Ltd., I accomplished


some important things. It showed that I could use design tools well and work
effectively in a team. I also faced and solved many challenges, which
improved my problem-solving skills. Getting positive feedback from my
colleagues made me feel proud and motivated me to keep getting better at
architectural drawing.
Conclusion
My On-the-Job Training was a big step toward my dream of becoming a good engineer.
Learning about architectural drawing and seeing the work in action at the company inspired
me a lot. Even though my training was short, it meant a lot to me. It boosted my confidence
and laid the foundation for being a good engineer in the future. I realized the importance of
knowing and loving what you do. As a student, I aim to keep learning, stay inspired, love my
path, and give my best with a positive mindset. The support and pride I felt during my training
motivated me to be determined and competitive in both my student life and future
professional journey. Looking ahead, I'm confident that the skills gained during my OJT will be
valuable as I continue my education in Civil Engineering. This training has given me a taste of
real-world applications and prepared me for the challenges and rewards that come after
graduation. In closing, my OJT has been a crucial part of my education, providing not just
technical skills but a deeper understanding of the responsibilities and joys of being an
engineer. With this clarity and motivation, I'm excited for the journey ahead.

I express my deepest gratitude to the National Examination Board (NEB) and Shree
Pragatisheel Secondary School for incorporating such invaluable opportunities into
our upcoming syllabus. Special thanks are extended to Mr. Chakra Bahadur Shrestha,
the head teacher of our school, who played a pivotal role in facilitating my On-The-
Job Training (OJT). His efforts in establishing contact between me and the
consultancy were instrumental in my participation in this enriching experience.
My sincere appreciation goes to Engineerko Ghar Pvt. Ltd. in Jadibuti-35, Kathmandu,
for generously offering me the exceptional opportunity to undertake OJT. I extend my
thanks to Mr. Ishu Mainali, the welfare officer, for his invaluable suggestions and
assistance across various aspects during my OJT period. I am also grateful to Ms.
Adeeti Kafle, an engineer and staff member, for providing me with a friendly
environment and imparting insights into the norms and values of architectural
drawing.
Furthermore, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my family, particularly
my aunt Bibhu Koirala, for their unwavering support, both financially and morally,
throughout the duration of my OJT. To my inspirational grandmother, your
encouragement has been a guiding light, motivating me to strive for the best in every
endeavor.
Last but certainly not least, I want to extend my thanks to my parents. Their
unwavering support, shared knowledge, and continuous inspiration have been
instrumental in steering me towards the goals I aim to achieve through my
participation in OJT.
