are FDA reviewed and meet US Government and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
nutritional standards, with variations in ingredients, including but not limited to macro (protein,
carbohydrate, fat) and micro (vitamin, mineral) blends, subtypes and/or added levels.
††Formulas in this FDA-reviewed standard formula/intact protein category do not meet USA
definitions of “iron fortified” (defined as an iron level >1mg/100 calories) but do contain iron
levels within the FDA required range of 0.3-3.0mg/100 calories.
€€ Denotes FDA-reviewed goat milk intact protein formulas that should be safe to interchange
with cow milk intact protein formulas. Goat milk intact protein formulas should NOT be used
in infants with milk protein allergy and are not interchangeable with either extensively
hydrolyzed/hypoallergenic or amino-acid based formulas.
