GUIDELINES FOR SUMMER INTERNSHIP REPORT OF BBA STUDENTS

CATEGORY-A: INTERNSHIP BASED ON SURVEY WITHIN OR


OUTSIDE THE COMPANY

CHAPTER 1- INTRODUCTION: This chapter should cover the topic of the study,
related literature and information and significance or justification of the study.

CHAPTER 2- COMPANYPROFILE: Company Profile should brief about the origin


and growth of the organization, departments, its operations, key persons, organization
chart and products. Competitors, market share and SWOT analysis of the company should
also be included in this chapter.

CHAPTER 3- OBJECTIVES AND METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY: This


chapter should include objectives and methods applied for attaining the objectives of the
study.

CHAPTER 4- DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION: This part should cover


the analysis of data collected in order to achieve the objectives and their representation in
tabular and Graphical method. Interpretation of tables and graphs should be placed after
respective graphs. All the particulars table, graph and interpretation should be arranged in
a single page in proper and attractive manner.

CHAPTER 5-FINDINGS, SUGGESTIONS AND CONCLUSION: The findings part


should include the observations made by the student with respect to his project topic and
the extent of fulfilment of project objectives. Student is also supposed to make some
justified suggestions to concerned organization/department in order to improve
performance. At last, student will sum up the entire project report under the sub-heading
conclusion.
At the end, student will provide following information in annexures:
(a) Questionnaire (if any)
(b) Bibliography

CATEGORY-B: INTERNSHIP BASED ON ACCOMPLISHMENT OF AN
EXECUTIVE JOB ASSIGNED

CHAPTER 1-INTRODUCTION: This chapter should cover relevant details about the
tasks assigned to the trainee and description of trainee’s position and responsibilities as an
intern with the company.

CHAPTER 2-COMPANYPROFILE: Company Profile should brief about the origin


and growth of the organization, departments, its operations, key persons, organization
chart and products. Competitors, market share and SWOT analysis of the company should
also be included in this chapter.

CHAPTER 3-GOALS AND PRAXIS: This chapter should include the goals set by the
trainee and a clear description of his/her modus operandi to achieve goals.

CHAPTER 4-INTERNSHIP LEARNING AND EXPERIENCE: This part should


describe the specific things trainee learned and the skills he/she cultivated. Students should
relate the experiential learning back to their classroom learning in this chapter. Students
should also detail specific experience within the organization that contributed to their
development.

CHAPTER 5- SUGGESTIONS: In this chapter student is supposed to make some


justified suggestions to concerned organization/department in order to improve
performance.

CHAPTER 6-ONGOING CONSIDERATIONS: In this chapter, student should consider


the skills or experiences that he/she would still like to develop. For example, if a student wishes
he/she had been able to get more direct client experience, he/she should discuss that. If a student
had hoped to be more involved in the technical aspect of the business, he/she could mention that.

At the end student can provide all supplementary information which supports the main
body of the report but which cannot be given within it under the head “ANNEXURE”.

FORMATING GUIDELINES FOR DOCUMENTING SUMMER TRAINING
REPORT (FOR BOTH THE CATEGORIES A & B)

The training report should be presented in the following format only -

(a)The report should be printed on A4 size paper.


(b)The font used should be Times New Roman and font size should be 12.
(c)The top, bottom & right margins should be 1” each. The left margin should be set at 1.5”.
(d)The line spacing should be fixed at 1.5 lines.
(e)Page numbers should be placed at bottom middle position.
(f)Chapters should be numbered as 1, 2, 3, etc. The tables and charts should be in the format of
1.1, 1.2, etc. i.e.1.1 indicates that it is the first table in Chapter1; 2.1 indicates first table in
Chapter 2.Similarly, Chart1.1 indicates first chart in Chapter 1.

(g) Student should submit1 (One) hardcopy duly signed by the faculty guide and its soft copy
in CD.
(h) The hard copy should be in Spiral binding form at with white thick cover as the cover page.
