Getting Started with Zscaler

Zscaler is a replacement service for the Signant Health VPN. Rather than connecting users to everything in the Signant Health network you will
get access to applications based on your department information in the company directory.

The Zscaler Client Connector app runs in the background and after the initial authentication there is no need to open the app again except
when requested to confirm your account. It runs in the background providing connectivity to the apps you need.

Employees that have used the old Signant Health VPN recently and have Intune managed laptop will get the Zscaler client installed
automatically. The rest of users and new hires will need to install it manually if needed at all. To get started please follow below steps. Please
note that your laptop/Macbook needs to be Signant Health owned. This service is not available to personal devices.

Windows

1. Disconnect your Signant Health VPN, this is no longer needed.

2. If the Zscaler Client Connector does not get automatically installed please use Signant Health Company Portal app to install it.

Alternatively you can also download it from https://d32a6ru7mhaq0c.cloudfront.net/Zscaler-windows-3.7.2.18-installer-x64.msi.

3. Connect using your [email protected] credentials, complete MFA if you have not signed in previously from that laptop.
4. Once connected traffic matching the policies in the ZPA cloud will define where (what applications/TCP/UDP port combinations) you will
have access to. Traffic destined to the internet will go directly out from your internet connection.

Please note that your laptop will not get an IP address and the traffic destined to Signant Health services is sourced from Zscaler AppConnector
VM IP rather than from your laptop.

MacOS

1. Disconnect your Signant Health VPN, this is no longer needed.

2. Users with Signant Health managed Macbook in the ZPA-Pilot group will get the Zscaler Client Connector app automatically installed. If
you don’t have Intune managed Macbook the app can also be downloaded from https://d32a6ru7mhaq0c.cloudfront.net/Zscaler-osx-
3.6.1.19-installer.app.zip. Please note for manual installs that to be able to connect your laptop needs to have a device certificate from
Signant Health.
