Health Issues and Concerns and Corrective Actions:


1. Malnutrition or Poor Nutrition
● Too much or too little intake of food may lead to malnutrition. As a result, if one person tends not
to eat the right amount of nutrients, it may result in severe wasting or obesity.

Corrective Actions:
● Eat a well-balanced meal.

2. Vision

● Eat foods that are rich in zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C, vitamin A, and vitamin E.

● Limit the screen time on TV, mobile phones, or computers.


● Don’t read in dim light.
● Avoid rubbing your eyes.

3. Hearing /Ear:
• Experiencing an earache is a frequent occurrence, often stemming from an ear infection.
• Ear infections can be caused by consistent cleaning practices.
• Ear wax plays a role in this, too
• Another consequence could be hearing loss.
Corrective Actions:
● Avoid exposure to loud noises.
● Wear ear protection.
● Avoid medicines that might harm your hearing.
● Avoid inserting pointed objects.
4. Dental Issues
● Tooth decay is a common dental problem in children.

Corrective Actions:
● Brush after every meal.
● Stay away from sugary meals and drinks.
● Visit the dentist regularly.

5. Other health issues:


● Skin rashes and allergies are frequently encountered among children.
● Lice infestations are evident in the hair of some children.
● Diarrhea, sore eyes, and common colds are also common health issues among children.
Corrective Actions:
● Wash your skin with mild soap.
● Avoid head-to-head (hair-to-hair) contact while playing and participating in other activities at
home, school, and other locations (sports, playground, sleepover parties, camp).
● Eat foods that are thoroughly cooked.
● Avoid touching your eyes.
