    Day 5 Report - Shiksha Saptah

    Date: July 26, 2024

    Theme: Technology & Education Divas

    Context:
    The National Education Policy 2020, recognizing the fact that digital technology can have a
    far-reaching impact on ensuring equity, accessibility, and quality of education, states in Para
    23.5 that the thrust of technological interventions will be for the purposes of improving
    teaching, learning, and evaluation processes, supporting teacher preparation and
    professional development, enhancing educational access, and streamlining educational
    planning, management, and administration, including processes related to admissions,
    attendance, assessments, etc.

    In this regard, a comprehensive initiative called PM eVIDYA was launched by the


    Department of School Education and Literacy on 17th May 2020 as a part of the
    AtmaNirbhar Bharat Programme, which unifies all efforts related to digital/online/on-air
    education to enable coherent multi-mode access to education.

    Objectives:
    1. Highlight NEP 2020 focus on technology
    2. Showcase the benefits of digital education
    3. Promote the new technology initiatives such as 200 Educational TV Channels
    4. Engage with educators, students, and parents
    5. Create buzz and media coverage

    Mass Viewing:
    The school may like to arrange mass viewing of the following videos to be telecasted by
    CBSE on PM e-Vidya CBSE 15 TV channel on 26.07.2024:
    • Storytelling Pedagogy - with shared Inquiry approach
    • Storytelling as a Pedagogy
    • National Education Policy 2020
    • Inquiry Based Learning
    • Gender Sensitivity
    Day 5 Activities Report:

    1. Inauguration
    The event started with an inauguration by the Principal, Dean, all Heads, and the HM at 9:00
    am.

    2. Digital Initiatives in Mathematics


    Mr. Babu Lal Mali and Mr. Magan Lal Meena discussed various digital initiatives in the field
    of Mathematics from 9:15 am to 9:45 am.

    3. Quiz on Digital Initiative


    Love Shrivastava conducted an engaging quiz on digital initiatives from 9:45 am to 10:15
    am.

    4. Digital Recourses in the light of NEP 2020


    Pro. P.K. Chaurasia shared insights on digital recourses in the context of NEP 2020 from
    10:15 am to 10:45 am.

    5. Digital Initiatives in Examinations by AHM


    Dr. Priyanka Chaturvedi talked about various digital initiatives in the field of examinations
    from 10:45 am to 11:15 am.

    6. Digital Initiative in English (Story Telling)


    Mrs. Gayatri R. Jagtiani conducted a session on digital initiatives in English, particularly
    focusing on story-telling, from 11:15 am to 11:45 am.

    7. Digital Initiatives in Gender Sensitivity


    Mrs. Kumari Meera Sinha addressed the topic of gender sensitivity and the digital initiatives
    surrounding it from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm.

    8. Digital Initiatives in Science (Chemistry)


    Mr. Ramakanta Jaudi discussed digital initiatives in the field of Chemistry from 12:15 pm to
    12:45 pm.

    9. Vote of Thanks
    The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. S.T. Singh, HM, DMS at 12:45 pm.
