“What is Noun?” and “Can you give me examples of nouns?”
Nouns are a part of speech that comprise words that are used to name people,
places, animals, objects and ideas. Almost every sentence will definitely have a
noun, and they perform different roles in a sentence. Nouns can act as the subject,
an indirect object, a direct object, a subject complement and an object
complement. Nouns can also function as adjectives and verbs.
D. Activity
The teacher will divide the class into small groups and provide each group
with a set of index cards and markers. Instruct them to write down as
many nouns as they can think of in a specified time frame (e.g., 5
minutes).
After the brainstorming session, each group will come to the front of the
class and share their list of nouns.
E. Analysis
As a class, discuss and classify the nouns into different categories
(common, proper, concrete, abstract, etc.). Using the chart paper to create
a visual representation.
The teacher will post the categorized nouns around the classroom and
allow the students to do a "gallery walk" to observe and discuss the nouns
posted by other groups.
F. Abstraction
The teacher will encourage them to ask questions, discuss any
disagreements in classification and ask students to reflect on what they
have learned during the lesson.
G. Application
The teacher will provide students with sentence construction activities
using nouns. The teacher will give them a list of nouns and ask them to
