Materials
• 2.5 mm hook
• Cotton yarn
I used Alize baby cotton “Soft”: brown, mahogany,
green, red and cream (reindeer)
Schachenmayr Catania “Original”: purple, blue,
yellow, white, brown, red, pink.

• Stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Stitch marker
• Metal wire and tape

Abbreviations
• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• st/sts – stitch/stitches
• inc – increase
• dec – decrease
• slst – slip stitch
• FO – fasten off
• b – bobble stitch

HEAD
Use the brown yarn.
Rnd 1: start 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) x6 [12]
Rnd 3: (inc, sc) x6 [18]
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x6 [24]
Rnd 5: (inc, 2 sc) x8, [32]
Rnd 6-9: sc around [32], 4 rounds

Rnd 10: 22 sc, ch 6, then skip 10 st for the neck and insert your hook in very first stich of this round, [28]
Rnd 11: 22 sc, sc in next 6 chain stitches, [28]
Rnd 12: sc around [28]

Attach the safety eyes between rounds 12 and 13 with 9 st between .


• Tip: skip the 6 st from beginning (count the sts of round 12), attach the first eye, then skip 9 st and
attach the second eye.

Rnd 13: dec, 18 sc, 4 dec [23]


Rnd 14-15: sc around [23], 2 rounds

Rnd 16: 5 sc, (dec, 3 sc) x2, dec, 6 sc [20]


Start to stuff the head.
Rnd 17: 5 sc, dec, 6 sc, dec, 5 sc [18]
Rnd 18: sc around [18]
Rnd 19: (dec) x9 [9]
Stuff the head firmly, cut the yarn and leave a tail for closing.
How to close the end of the round: with a darning needle, insert the remaining yarn through all the front
loops of the stitches on the last round. Pull all together at once and sew to hide the yarn inside the part
you are working on.

NECK
Lay the head to the right away from you as show in the photo. Insert your hook in first st and pick up the
yarn.
Insert your hook again in the same stitch and make a sc. It will be the first st of the neck and the new
beginning.

Rnd 11: 10 sc around the head, sc in next 6 chain sts, [16]


Rnd 12: sc, inc, 6 sc, inc, 7 sc [18]
Rnd 13-14: sc around [18], 2 rounds

Stuff the neck firmly. Don’t cut the yarn, we continue to crochet the body.
And don’t remove your stitch marker.

BODY
Rnd 15: 7 sc, ch 7. Crochet back on the chain: inc in second ch from hook, 5 sc, continue crocheting
around the neck, 11 sc.
Rnd 16: 7 sc, continue on the other side of the chain, 5 sc, inc in the last foundation ch, 2 inc, 16 sc [34]
Rnd 17: 13 sc, (inc, sc) x3, 15 sc, [37]
Rnd 18: inc, 12 sc, (inc, 2 sc) x3, 10 sc, inc, 4 sc [42]

We have to divide the work to crochet the four legs. So, don’t cut the yarn.

LEGS
First back leg:
Crochet 23 sc after round 25 to bring the yarn in the middle back stitch of the reindeer body. If you are not
there, continue crocheting until that point. Place a stitch marker in the next stitch

Crochet 10 sc on the body, ch 4.


Insert your hook in the stitch with the stitch marker. The leg will be formed with 10 sc of the body and the
ch-4 foundation chain. Continue working the first back leg

Rnd 26: 14 sc (10 on the body and 4 on the chain) [14]


Rnd 27-30: sc around [14], 4 rounds
Change the yarn to cream.
Rnd 31: sc around [14]
Chande the yarn to dark brown.
Rnd 32: sc around [14]
Rnd 33: (dec) x7 [7]
Cut the yarn, leave a tail for closing

How to change the color of yarn:


With the two loops from the previous yarn on the hook, wrap the new yarn around the hook, and then pull
the new yarn through the two loops of the stitch

First front leg:
Count 4 stitches along from the first back leg (this will be the belly). Attach the yarn to the 5th stitch. Put
your stitch marker here. Crochet 10 sc on the body, ch

body, ch 4. Insert your hook in the stitch with the stitch marker.
Rnd 26: 14 sc (10 on the body and 4 on the chain) [14]
Rnd 27-30: sc around [14], 4 rounds
Change the yarn to cream.
Rnd 31: sc around [14]
Change the yarn to dark brown.
Rnd 32: sc around [14]
Rnd 33: (dec) x7, [7]
Cut the yarn, leave a tail for closing.
Don’t stuff and close the leg now.

Second back leg:


Count 4 stitches along from the second front leg (this will be the belly). Attach the yarn to the 5th stitch.
Crochet 10 sc
on the body, ch 4. Insert your hook in the stitch with the stitch marker

Rnd 27-30: sc around [14], 4 rounds
Change the yarn to cream.

Change the yarn to dark brown.

Stuff the body and legs. Close the legs now
Using a tapestry needle, sew the 3-ch loops of both front and back legs together

Belly:
Between the legs, you have 4 stitches spaces at the front and back leg on both sides of body and 1-ch
loop on front and back legs. We make the belly by crocheting on these stitches and ch-loops. Attach the

yarn in ch-loop of back leg. Make a sc in this loop, sc in next 4 sts of body and sc in last ch-loop of front
loop

Row 1: sc in ch-loop of back leg, 4 sc, sc in ch-loop of front leg, ch 1, turn [6]
Row 2-4: sc in next 6 sc, ch 1, turn [6]
Cut the yarn, leave a tail for sewing.
Use the needle, sew the belly to the other side of body and close the opening between belly and the legs.

TAIL
Use the brown yarn.
Rnd 1: start 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x3 [9]
Rnd 3: sc around [9]
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x3 [12]
Rnd 5-6: sc around [12], 2 rounds
Rnd 7: (dec, sc) x4 [8]
Stuff the tail very lightly. Leave a tail for sewing.

EARS (make 2)
Use the brown yarn.
Rnd 1: start 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x3 [9]
Rnd 3: (2 sc, inc) x3 [12]
Rnd 4-7: sc around [12], 4 rounds
Leave a tail of yarn for sewing

Fold the ear in half and sew two sides together

HORNS (make 2)
Use the mahogany yarn.
Rnd 1: start 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: sc around [6]
Rnd 3: 5 sc, bobble stitch [6]
Rnd 4-5: sc around [6]
How to make a 3-dc-bobble stitch:
• Yarn over the hook before placing the hook into the stitch.
• Yarn over again and draw the yarn through the stitch. You have 3 loops on the hook.
• Yarn over the hook again and pull it through the first two loops. You now have one half-closed double
crochet stitch, and two loops remain on the hook
• In the same stitch, repeat the preceding steps 2 times more. You will have 3 halfclosed double crochet
stitches into one stitch.
• yarn over and draw through all 4 loops on the hook at once

Cut the yarn, leave a tail for sewing. Don’t stuff the horns.
Sew the horns to head over the rounds 5 to 6
Sew the ears to head over round 6 to 10

Embroider the small lines on the head and two points of the nose
At last, sew the tail below and on the top to the body

COLLAR
Use the red yarn.
Ch 23. Rnd 1: Start in the second chain from hook: 22 sc, ch1, turn [22]
Rnd 2: (red yarn: sc, green yarn: sc) x11, ch 1, turn [22]
Cut the green yarn.
Rnd 3: 22 sc [22]
Cut the yarn leaving a tail for sewing.
Wrap the colllar around the neck and sew it

BEADS and LEAVES (make 2)


Bead: use the red yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x3 [9]
Rnd 3: sc around [9]
Close the bead in the same way as leg.
Sew the beads on top of head

Leaf: use the green yarn.


Ch 4. Start in second chain from hook: (sc, picot st) x2, in last chain: (sc, picot st) repead it 2 times.
Continue on the other side of the foundation chain: (sc, picot st) x2.
Cut the yarn, leave a tail for sewing.
Sew the leaves on the top of the head

LACE (make 2)
Small: use the black yarn.
Ch 24. Join in the first chain. Fasten off.
Turn on the small lace around the head.

Big: use the black yarn.


Ch 120. Fasten off. Put the big lace on the head and wrap the tails through the small lace

BOTTOM
Use the green yarn.
Ch 18. Stitches are worked around both sides of the foundation chain.
Rnd 1: start in second chain from the hook, inc in this stitch, 15 sc, 3 sc in last st.
Continue on the other side of the foundation chain, 16 sc, [36]

Rnd 2-40: sc around [36], 39 rounds


Rnd 41: 5 sc, 2 dec, 14 sc, 2 dec, 9 sc [32]
Rnd 42: 4 sc, 2 dec, 12 sc, 2 dec, 8 sc, [28]
Crochet 5 sc more, after round 42 to bring the yarn in the corner. Cut the yarn and leave a tail for closing.

How to finish:
Using the long tail of yarn, start from second loop. Sew the opening through the front loops by going
across each stitch

BODY: SIDES and BACK


Use the green yarn.
Rnd 1: 7 sc in magic ring [7]
Rnd 2: (inc) x7 [14]
Rnd 3-10: sc around [14], 8 rounds
Rnd 11: 6 sc, 3 inc, 5 sc [17]
Rnd 12-13: sc around [17], 2 rounds

Rnd 14: 8 sc, 3 inc, 6 sc [20]


Rnd 15-16: sc around 20 [20], 2 rounds
Rnd 17: 10 sc, 3 inc, 7 sc [23]

Cut the yarn and leave a tail for closing.

Cut the wire the same length as the body. Wrap the tape around the wire that the ends of wire didn’t go
out of the body and didn’t cut the body.

• Tip: I used the electrical wire with insulation that I found in my garage.
Put the wire into the body at the bottom.
Close the body.
Binding: Ch 61. Start in second chain from hook: (sc in next 2 chain stitches, ch 2, in second chain from
hook: sl st) repeat it 29 times, 2 sc.
Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.

Sew the binding to the contour of the top part of body as show in the photos

RUNNERS (make 2)
Use the yellow yarn
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2-21: sc around [6], 20 rounds
Rnd 22: inc, 5 sc [7]
Rnd 23-50: sc around [7], 28 rounds
Cut the yarn and leave a tail for closing.
Cut the wire the same length as the runners. Use the tape, wrap it around the wire. Put the wire into the
runner and close the hole

FRONT piece
Use the yellow yarn
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2-21: sc around [6], 20 rounds
Cut the yarn leaving a tail for closing.

Cut the wire the same length as the body of front piece. Use the tape, wrap it around the wire. Put the
wire into the piece and close the hole.

RUNNERS’ partitions (make 3)


Use the yellow yarn
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2-8: sc around [6], 7 rounds
Cut the yarn leaving a tail. Stuff the partitions lightly.
I don’t use the wipe for partitions,

Wrap the bottom (12 rounds) of sleigh around the yellow front piece.
Use the tapestry needle, sew the two sides together
Fold the body of sleigh in the letter U as show on pictures 22 and 23. The corners of body may be
between rounds 25-27 and 41- 42.
Lay the body to the bottom part of the sleigh and secure it with pins.
Sew these two parts together by going across the stitch of each part.
Fold the runner at the ends and on the front side as show in picture
Put the sleigh on the runners and insert the partitions between the runners, two on the bottom and one on
the front.
First, sew the partitions to the runners and then the runners to the sleigh in few places on both sides.

CANDY
Use the white and pink yarn
Rnd 1: white yarn: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (white yarn: sc, pink yarn: sc) x6 [12]
Rnd 3: (white yarn: inc, pink yarn: sc) x6 [18]
Rnd 4: (white yarn: 2 sc, pink yarn: inc) x6, [24]

Rnd 10: (white yarn: dec, pink yarn: 2 sc) x6 [18]

the metal wire inside the candy cone. Use the needle, close the opening. Make the form of the hook

BOX (body)
Use the brown yarn
Ch 8. We are going to crochet in the rows.
Row 1: start in second chain from the hook: 7 sc, ch 1, turn, [7]
Row 2-21: BLO: 7 sc, ch 1, turn, [7], 22 rounds
Cut the yarn and leave a tail for sewing.

Bottom and top of box:


Ch 8.
Row 1: start in second chain from the hook: 7 sc, ch 1, turn, [7]
Row 2-6: BLO: 7 sc, ch 1, turn, [7], 5 rounds

Cut the yarn and leave a tail for sewing.


Use the needle, sew the two ends of the body together, then sew the botton and top pieces. Stuff the box
by sewing. Decorate the box with little bow

COOKIE
Use the yellow yarn
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2-25: sc around [6], 24 rounds
Cut the yarn and leave a tail for closing.
Cut a piece of the thick metal wire the same length as body of cookie. Wrap the tape around the wire. Put
the wire into to the cookie. Use the needle, close the opening.
Make cookie the form of the number 8
