    What is a School Counseling Program?

    A comprehensive program is comprehensive in scope, preventative in design and developmental in nature. The ASCA National Model: A Framework for School Counseling Programs is written to reflect a comprehensive approach to program foundation, delivery, management and accountability.

    The United States Department of Education describes The achievement gap refers to the difference in academic performance between different ethnic groups. The opportunity gap refers to situations when students of different ethnic groups to not have access to rigorous program such as honors or AP courses. A funding gap occurs when programs that include students from different ethnic groups do not receive adequate financial support for such programs to thrive.
