    Good Afternoon to all of you present on the dias, faculty members ,


    management of oxford group of Institutions and my student friends
    from different parts of the country

    Iam Preetham Shanbhag, final year LLB student at oxford college of


    law

    I have the privilege and pleasure of introducing a very special


    dignitary today – a true visionary, an exemplary educationist and a
    leader with extra ordinary foresight is perhaps how I would like to
    describe our chairman , Dr SNVL Narasimha Raju sir

    Oxford had a very humble beginning , with a nursery school in


    Kannada and English as the medium in 1974. Since then, The group of
    institutions has grown by leaps and bounds under the chairman’s
    leadership – today with 36 institutions that train over 26000+ students
    spanning Health care, Law, Science, Engineering all the way to
    Management
    Not just Education, social responsibility and giving back to the society
    has been at the forefront of our chairman’s growth agenda

    To quote a few examples , free dental health care services and


    curative treatment have been extended to more than 300 patients
    every day at the Oxford Dental College which is highly beneficial to the
    poor labourers working in factories located in Bommanahalli and
    surrounding villages

    Free Health care services, consultation and treatment have been


    extended to all rural people residing in villages in Attibele and
    Sarjapura hobli of Anekal Taluk.

    Apart form he is also involved in several Philanthropic activities


    including but not limited to renovating temples in Karnataka, Andhra
    Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and construction of a guest house at
    Tirumala temple for Karnataka pilgrims visiting the temple.

    Over the last four decades , He has held positions of increasing


    responsibilities as :

    ❖ Executive Committee Member of Karnataka Private Post


    Graduate Colleges Association.
    ❖ Executive Member of All India Management Association.
    ❖ President of Vinayaka Cultural Society JP Nagar, Bangalore -
    560 078
    ❖ Member Secretary of Managements of Independent CBSE
    Schools Association – Karnataka.
    ❖ President of Management of Schools Association (ICSE Schools)
    – Karnataka
    ❖ Treasurer - Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority
    Professional Colleges Association

    Among many recognitions and accolades – few that are worth


    mentioning

    In the month of July this year, Our chairman was awarded a honorary
    doctorate by the Karnataka State Open University – He was one
    among the three that received the honor that day , along with him was
    Droupadi Murmu , the president of India who was also honored with a
    doctorate – it was a proud moment to read the newspaper headlines
    that day

    ❖ He was honored by Union Minister of State for Labour &


    Employment as a “MODEL EMPLOYER”
    ❖ He was honored as “The Guardians of Education” by The Hindu
    Group in The Doyens- Guardians of Knowledge on 26th March
    2017.

    We extend our heartfelt gratitude to him for promoting the cause of


    education & relentlessly worked to change the landscape of
    education as a visionary, pioneer & entrepreneur in transforming the
    domain of education

    And with that, I would like to now invite him on stage to share his
    perspectives with us – lets welcome him with a big round of applause
