I. OBJECTIVES
Content Standard : The learners demonstrate an understanding how to prepare sandwiches.
Performance Standard : The learners independently prepare sandwiches.
Learning Competencies : LO 1. Perform mise en place.
Objectives : 1.1 clean, sanitize, and prepare tools, utensils, and equipment based on the
required tasks.
Sub-task : Identify tools, utensils and equipment needed in preparing sandwiches.

Topic : Tools, Utensils and Equipment in Preparing Sandwiches
Concept : “Proper Identification & Knowing will come a Long Way in Real Life
Situations”

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Preliminary Activity
a. Motivation
The teacher will tell a real-life story of an in-experienced maid who was asked to make a lemon
juice but ended up making a kalamansi juice. Lesson of the story? Proper identification between
its differences is an edge.
b. Vocabulary
New set of words will be identified.
c. Presentation of the Lesson
The teacher will present the lesson of the day.
A. Activity
The teacher will conduct a game called “What’s my Name”, the teacher will read the different
uses and the learners have to guess the name of the utensils being asked. They have to write their
answers on their illustration boards.
B. Analysis
Why is it important for us to properly identify the uses or functions of each and every utensil in
the kitchen?
C. Abstraction
The teacher will conduct a generalization for the lesson of the day.
D. Application
After you learned the different uses of kitchen utensils and equipment used in sandwich making,
are you confident that you will be able to distinguish when and how to uses it? Why or why not?
V. EVALUATION
On a ¼ sheet of paper, the teacher will ask ten (10) questions out of the lesson for the day.
VI. ASSIGNMENT
Go online and watch how the various equipments in sandwich making are used, ex. Salamanders.
Write the URL of atleast three (3) equipment on a ¼ sheet of paper.
