1 THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Introduction

The background of the study is the story of your research. In this portion, you

give a narrative of the research.

It is suggested that you use an inverted triangle approach in the story telling,

starting with a general overview and moving on to the specifics. You should be generous

in your citations because it lends credence to your work. You should specifically cite

statements of facts to support your arguments.

It is suggested that you give the statement of the problem at the end of the

background. The solution to the problem would be identified in the next section.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

This study explores the readiness, recovery and response plans of the private

schools in the Philippines about conducting Online Distance Learning education. (*Note:

this is just a sample for the introduction of RRL)

Foreign and local studies that have a bearing on the present study are part of the

review conducted by the researcher.

Related Literature

Include comprehensive discussion on theorems, definitions, fundamental algorithms,

mathematical models/formula
Foreign Literature

Local Literature

Related Studies

For the review of related literature, make sure to touch on the most important aspects of

your study. Use a topical outline. In your style of discussion, be sure to adopt a

storyline. Do not forget to cite all statements of facts, main ideas/trends, equations,

findings, etc. As much as possible, use most recent journal articles. Use books sparingly.

And no Wikipedia, please!

Foreign Studies

For tables and figures, use the following format:

Table 1. From "References" > Insert Caption > Table

Indent the Table label to Only the table number is

start of table capitalized., the label is not.

The List of Tables should The Chapter number is included

be automatically generated in the table number

Figure should be centered. The List of Figures must be

aromatically generated.

Conceptual Framework

Provide a conceptual framework in the form of a single diagram which should show all

the aspects of the study. Provide a description of the framework after the diagram.

Figure 2. Conceptual Framework

Provide a description and discussion (in 1 or 2 paragraphs) for each figure and/or table.

Statement of the Problem

Start with the general objective of the research. The general objective should

provide the answer to the problem just stated above. In a way, the general objective is a

restatement of the title of the research.

The specific objectives follow, using a colon at the end:

a. The specific objectives must be measurable;

b. They should have a one-to-one correspondence to the conclusions you will make

in Chapter 4.

Significance of the Study

The finding of the study will benefit the Administrators, students, parents, teachers and

future researcher.

Insert the significance of the study. Be exhaustive. You may not include the

significance of the study to you as a student.

Scope and Delimitations

Insert the scope and delimitations here.

Definition of Terms

The following terminologies are conceptually and operationally defined for clarity.
Provide operational definition of relevant terms used in the study.
2 METHODS OF STUDY AND SOURCES OF DATA

This chapter discusses the methods and procedures that will utilize by the

researchers in the preparation and completion of the study. It includes the research

design, research instrument, research locale, research respondents/participants, and data

gathering procedures.

Research Design

The headings given here for the methods are only suggestive. Adopt what is appropriate

for your research. For example, you would have experimental design if you used one

such as multivariate method and the like which would describe the number of tests you

did and the conditions for testing.

Respondents of the Study

Discuss the respondents of the study.

Research Instrument

Describe the research instrument that you used.

Data Gathering Procedure

Narrate how data were gathered.

Statistical Treatment of Data

Elaborate the statistical treatment that was used in the study

3 PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF

DATA

This chapter deals with with the detailed analysis of data gathered, the

interpretation of findings based on the research problems are presented accordingly. The

data gathered were analyzed and interpreted in accordance with the research problems.

Show evidence of your theoretical proof, simulation and testing results with detailed

discussion on how you have attained the objectives stated in chapter 1.

The headings given depend on your presentation of the results.

4 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND

RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter deals with the summary of findings, conclusions, and

recommendations of the study based on the data presented in previous chapter.

Summary of Findings

Provide summary of the findings of your study

Conclusion

The conclusions are direct statements that would prove the achievement of the specific

objectives. The conclusions should have one-to-one correspondence to the specific

objectives, i.e. if you have 4 specific objectives (a to d) then you should have 4

conclusions (1 to 4).

Recommendations

What are the recommendations for future work?
