In a company’s fleet, for vessels on the same trade route and for sister ships operating in
the same trade; the Security Assessment for the first ship can be used as a model for each
of the other ships engaged in the same trade on the same route. For such cases only ship’s
specific variations are required to be addressed during the on-scene Security Assessment.
SSP of the vessel should contain a copy of General Arrangement plan or other drawings
of the vessel annotated with all restricted areas of the vessel.
All restricted areas of vessel to be clearly marked indicating that unauthorized presence
within those areas will be considered as breach of security where; clearly marked means
the area marked in such a manner that it should communicate its restricted status to any
visitors or person onboard.
