Arms
Round With petal peach and 1.75mm hook.
1 4sc in magic ring = 4 sts
2 4 incs = 8 sts
3 - 23 sc in each st around (21 rounds) = 8 sts
Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible
join. Weave in. Do not stuff
Stuff the tip and a little bit on the base of the foot. Insert 24cm of wire and add more fiberfill.
Resume the work paused after round 20 (petal peach color part).
Left leg:
21 - 38 sc in each st around (18 rounds) = 12 sts. Stuff as you go.
Change to white.
39 - 40 sc in each st around (2 rounds) = 12 sts. Mark the last st of round 40. Cut the yarn and finish the round with
the invisible join. Weave in.
Right leg:
21 - 37 sc in each st around (17 rounds) = 12 sts. Stuff as you go.
38 6sc, (leave the remaining sts unworked) = 6 sts. You will be changing the place where the round starts and
ends (it will end on the 6th sc made) and aligning the color change on the inner leg. Don't forget to move
the marker.
Change to white.
39 - 40 sc in each st around (2 rounds) = 12 sts. Don't cut the yarn.
Joining the legs (notice that the round starts and ends on the back of the body).
Round Continue with white on the right leg and ch2.
1 join the legs with 1sc to the 1st st of the last round of the left leg, make the remaining 11sc of that leg, 2sc
in the outer loops of the ch2, 12sc in the right leg and 2sc in the remaining loops of the ch2 = 28 sts
Stuff each leg. Organize the wires by wrapping them with small elastics or leftover strands of yarn.
24 7sc, triple dec working through the arm and the body loops at the same time*, 10sc, triple dec working
through the arm and the body loops at the same time, 3sc = 22 sts
* Working through both loops of arm and both loops of body, pull up a loop, repeat in the next two stitches,
yarn over and pull through all 4 loops on hook at the same time.
25 7sc, (skip/ignore the dec of the previous round), 5sc on the arm, 10sc, (skip/ignore the dec of the previous
round), 5sc on the other arm, 3sc = 30 sts
Fold and twist a 30cm pipe cleaner. Curve it to fit the arms and insert it through the arms.
Head
Round Continue with petal peach color.
1 12 incs = 24 sts
2 1sc, inc, (2sc, inc) 7 times, 1sc = 32 sts
3 (3sc, inc) 8 times = 40 sts
4 2sc, inc, (4sc, inc) 7 times, 2sc = 48 sts
5 (5sc, inc) 8 times = 56 sts
6 - 19 sc in each st around (14 rounds) = 56 sts
Place the 6mm safety eyes between rounds 11 and 12 leaving 11 sts between them (9 visible sts). Embroider the
nose between rounds 10 and 11 over the middle st between the eyes.
You can melt the inside tip of the eyes using a lighter. Press it with a metallic object so that it flattens the melted tip.
Stuff more. If necessary, cut off excess wire. The wire doesn't need to go through the entire head. The important
thing is to stabilize it. Make sure that the wire is well centered and involved in fiberfill.
20 (5sc, dec) 8 times = 48 sts
21 2sc, dec, (4sc, dec) 7 times, 2sc = 40 sts
22 (3sc, dec) 8 times = 32 sts
23 1sc, dec, (2sc, dec) 7 times, 1sc = 24 sts
Put enough fiberfill under eye level to ensure firmness of the head.
24 (1sc, dec) 8 times = 16 sts
25 8 decs = 8 sts
Stuff more. Cut the yarn and close the hole weaving the tail through the front loops only, and pull the yarn tightly.
Fasten off and weave in the remaining yarn tail.
Hair
Round With root beer color and 1.75mm hook.
1 6sc in magic ring = 6 sts
2 2sc incs, 2dc incs, 2sc incs = 12 sts
3 FLO - 3sc, 2sc incs, 2dc incs, 2sc incs, 3sc = 18 sts. Don't cut the yarn. You are now going to make 18
strands = 1st layer.
To make it easier to assemble, mark and identify the strands indicated with leftover yarn of different colors.
Balance the gauge applied to chains and hdc. If the chains are too tight, the hair will curl.
1 - 8 (8) 1slst, ch32 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) 31hdc. Mark the 8th strand.
9 - 10 (2) 1slst, ch35 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) 34hdc
11 - 18 (8) 1slst, ch32 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) 31hdc. Mark the 11th strand. Cut the yarn and finish
with the invisible join. Weave in.
2nd layer = 12 strands. Work on the wrong side. Insert the hook in the 1st loop of round 2. (see photo below)
1 - 4 (4) 1slst, ch34 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) 33hdc
5 - 8 (4) 1slst, ch37 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) 36hdc. Mark the 6th and the 7th
9 - 12 (4) 1slst, ch34 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) 33hdc. Cut the yarn and finish with the invisible join.
Leave a long yarn tail.
Boots
The stitches should not be as tight as for the doll's body. Use a bigger hook if needed.
Round Sole: with moon rock color and 1.75mm hook - ch7 (leaving about 15cm of tail at the beginning).
1 (start in the 2nd ch from the hook), 5sc, inc, (turn and work on the other side of the chs) 5sc, inc = 14 sts
2 inc, 4sc, 3 incs, 5sc, inc = 19 sts
3 2 incs, 4sc, 7 incs, 4sc, 2 incs = 30 sts
Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in the remaining yarn tail (keep the beginning tail).
Place the plastic card on the bottom of the work (wrong side). Make a small hole in the center of the plastic card and
thread the beginning tail through it. Make knots to secure it. Apply some glue between the sole and the plastic.
With champagne color, repeat the instructions for the sole, but without adding plastic card. This new piece will serve
as an insole.
Joining sole and insole: Place the two pieces together with wrong sides facing each other and aligning the 1st st of
the last round of the sole with the 1st st of the last round of the insole.
With the champagne color piece (insole) facing you and with deep violet yarn, insert the hook simultaneously in one
st of each piece, pull a loop and make 1 slst. Repeat for the entire round completing 30 slst. Cut the yarn and finish
the round with the invisible join. Weave in the remaining yarn tail.
With deep violet color, insert the hook in the last slst. From now on, rounds will be joined with 1 slst and will start
with ch1 that doesn’t count as st.
5 ch1, 9sc, 2 decs, 8sc = 19 sts, don't join. Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in.
Left boot: ch3 and insert the hook in the 8th st of round 5.
1 BLO - 19sc = 19 sts, turn.
2 ch1, 19sc, 3sc on the initial chs = 22 sts, turn.
3 *(see note below before starting this row) ch1, 1sc, ch1, skip /ignore 1st (it will be the button hole), 20sc,
= 22 sts, turn.
4 ch1, 20sc, 1sc around the ch, 1sc = 22 sts, turn.
5 ch1, sc in each st around = 22 sts. Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in.
Sew 1 button so that it can fit in the little hole left by ch1 on row 3.
* Note: The button I used, in the shape of a heart, measures about 7mm width and has about 1mm thickness. To
make the hole for it I only needed to ch1. If you use another button size, you may need to change from ch1 to ch2
and adapt the distribution of the sts but without changing the final amount.
Bermuda shorts
The stitches should not be as tight as for the doll's body. Use a bigger hook if needed.
Round Legs: with delphinium color and 1.75mm hook - ch24. Don't overtighten the chs. Slst to the first ch to form
a circle making sure not to twist your work.
1 ch1, sc in each st around = 24 sts. Don't join with a slst. Work in continuous rounds.
2-9 sc in each st around (8 rounds) = 24 sts
Before finishing the leg, try it on the doll. Round 1 should be 10/11 rounds above the sock. Depending on the yarn
used and the amount of filling, there may be a need to change the number of rounds.
Left leg: mark the last st. Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in.
Right leg: don't cut the yarn. Make 3sc and ch2. Start joining the legs.
Joining the legs:
1 Join with 1sc to the last st of the last round of the left leg, make the remaining 23sc of that leg, 2sc in the
outer loops of the ch2, 24sc in the right leg and 2sc in the remaining loops of the ch2 = 52 sts (notice that
the round starts and ends on the back of the body).
2 dec, 20sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 20sc, dec, 2sc = 48 sts
3 sc in each st around = 48 sts
4 dec, 18sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 18sc, dec, 2sc = 44 sts
5 sc in each st around = 44 sts
6 dec, 16sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 16sc, dec, 2sc = 40 sts
7 sc in each st around = 40 sts
8 dec, 14sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 14sc, dec, 2sc = 36 sts
9 - 10 sc in each st around (2 rounds) = 36 sts
11 BLO - skip/ignore 1 st, 17sc, skip/ignore 1st, 17sc = 34 sts
12 BLO - slst each st around = 34 sts
Try it on the doll. Depending on the yarn, hook, stuffing and gauge, there may be a need to make some adjustments
If it is too wide or too tight at the waist, redo it from round 11 by removing or adding sts as needed. Cut the yarn and
finish with the invisible join. Weave in.
Zipper - with delphinium color, ch5. Cut the yarn leaving enough to sew on the front of the bermuda shorts. Sew a
micro button above the zipper.
Detail at the bottom: with the waist part facing down, insert the hook into one of the sts on the inner leg. Not on the
visible loops of the initial chs but into the gap between sc of round 1.
1 [1 long sc (spike stitch), ch2, slst into the 1st ch (picot) skip 1 st] 12 times. Cut the yarn and finish the round
with the invisible join. Weave in.
(white yarn is used here for tutorial purposes only).
T-shirt
The stitches should not be as tight as for the doll's body. Use a bigger hook if needed. Each row starts with a ch1 that
doesn't count as a st.
Row With lavender color and 1.75mm hook - ch20.
1 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) 3sc, 3sc in the next st, 2sc, 3sc in the next st, 5sc, 3sc in the next
st, 2sc, 3sc in the next st, 3sc = 27 sts, turn.
2 ch1, (4sc, 3sc in the next st) 2 times, 7sc, (3sc in the next st, 4sc) 2 times = 35 sts, turn.
3 ch1, 6sc, ch6, skip/ignore 6 sts, 11sc, ch6, skip/ignore 6 sts, 6sc = 35 sts, turn.
4-5 ch1, sc in each st across (2 rows) = 35 sts, turn
6 ch1, 6sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 11sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 6sc = 39 sts, turn.
7-9 ch1, sc in each st across (3 rows) = 39 sts, turn.
10 ch1, 7sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 13sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 7sc = 43 sts, turn.
11 - 15 ch1, sc in each st across (5 rows) = 43 sts, turn.
16 ch1, 8sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 15sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 8sc = 47 sts, turn
17 - 18 ch1, sc in each st across (2 rows) = 47 sts, turn.
19 ch1, sc in each st across = 47 sts, don't turn.
Try on the doll. So far, the t-shirt must be close to the last round of the legs made with petal peach color.
Due to conditions such as the yarn used, gauge or the amount of filling, there may be a need to add or
remove rows.
Rotate and work the left side.
Edges:
Left side: ch1, 19sc,
Top: ch1, 19 slst,
Right side: ch1, 2sc, ch3*, 8sc, ch3*, 9sc.
* ch3 or the number of chs required for the buttons you chose.
Cut the yarn and finish with the invisible join. Weave in.
Sew 2 buttons on the left side so that it can fit in the little holes left by ch3 on the right side.
How you decorate your t-shirt or not depends on your taste. My Bree's t-shirt has about 20cm of 1cm wide lacy
ribbon, sewn on the bottom.
Dress
The stitches should not be as tight as for the doll's body. Use a bigger hook if needed. When working in rows, each
one starts with a ch1 that does not count as a st.
Row With Catona Denim purple and 1.75mm hook - ch23.
1 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) sc in each st across = 22 sts, turn. Mark the 1st st.
2 ch1, 4sc, ch5, skip/ignore 3sts, 8sc, ch5, skip/ignore 3sts, 4sc = 26 sts, turn.
3-4 ch1, sc in each st across (2 row) = 26 sts, turn.
5 ch1, 6sc, inc, 12sc, inc, 6sc = 28 sts, turn.
6-8 ch1, sc in each st across (3 row) = 28 sts, turn.
9 ch1, sc in each st across = 28 sts, don't turn.
Round Join the two ends making the first sc of the next round immediately after.
Collar: Insert the hook in the 22nd loop of the initial chs (above the st where the edge of the back started).
Note that the collar starts on the wrong side of the dress.
1 (1sc, inc) 11 times = 33 sts, turn.
2- 3 ch1, sc in each st around (2 row) = 33 sts, turn.
Cut the yarn leaving enough to sew a few sts of the collar to a few sts of the dress so that the collar doesn't lift.
How you decorate your dress or not depends on your taste. My Bree's dress has about 35cm of 1,5cm wide lacy
ribbon, sewn on the bottom.
You can also decorate by embroidering small flowers as follows:
With green yarn, embroider a "V" in 2 sts and leave 2sts of space until the next one. With the cream color, on the top
of each side of your “V”, make a French Knot.
Hat
The stitches should not be as tight as for the doll's body. Use a bigger hook if needed.
Round With Catona Denim beige and 1.75mm hook.
1 8sc in magic ring = 8 sts
2 8 incs = 16 sts
