IX. Course Description:

This business-oriented Internet research class provides research strategies and specific search tools to find relevant and reliable information in the most effective and
efficient manner from among the enormous amount of data that resides on the World Wide Web. The course addresses basic searches, selecting the right keywords, phrase
searching, Boolean operators, filters, advanced search operators, evaluative criteria to determine the reliability of sites, meta-search engines, subject guides, specialty information
and social media platforms. Hands-on activities allow students to utilize research strategies and search tools.
X. Course/ Subject outcomes
At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. Access and navigate the internet
2. Discuss the importance and qualities of ethical business research
3. Perform basic web searches
4. Narrow a search to find more useful results
