OUR COLORFUL WORLD
LESSON 2
OBJECTIVES
Identify different lines
Illustrate a thing using different lines
MATERIALS
Module, computer/phone
Bond paper, color pencils/crayons, pencil
NAMING LINES
We show the shapes and forms of objects by means of lines. Here are the different kinds of lines:
1. Straight Line
These lines may be vertical, horizontal, or slanting.
2. Curved Lines
These are lines that seem to move. Example: ocean waves
3. Jagged Lines
These lines look like zigzags.
ILLUSTRATION
The illustration below shows us a combination of these lines. Can you identify them?
ART
Directions: Choose one in your toys at home which shows the different kinds of lines and draw it on
one sheet of bond paper.

SHAPES
LESSON 4
OBJECTIVES
Identify different objects with different shapes
Illustrate an object with correct understanding of shapes
MATERIALS
Module, computer/phone
Bond paper, color pencils/crayons, pencil
SHAPES
From the different lines, we can create shapes. Shapes help us in identifying things that we see and feel.
Look at the objects below. Can you tell us their shapes?

ACTIVITY 1
Directions: Identify the different shapes that compose the image below. Color it by using one shade for each
shape.
4
ART
This time, you will put different shapes together. Think of an object. Then with the use of colored
papers cut into different shapes, make your own composition. Paste them below.

MUSIC
THE MELODY OF MUSIC
LESSON 5
OBJECTIVES
Illustrate the musical staff
MATERIALS
Module, computer/phone
Melody is a series of tones that move up and down in different lengths of time. The series of high and low tones
are seen as they appear on a musical staff.
The staff is a musical sign that is made up of five parallel lines. It is where notes are written. It is made up of five
horizontal lines and four spaces. Every line and every space represent a musical note. Each line and space also
have a letter name.

MAKING PICTURES LOOK REAL
LESSON 6
OBJECTIVES
Identify three-dimensional shapes
Illustrate objects using three-dimensional shapes
MATERIALS
Module, computer/phone
Bond paper, color pencils/crayons, pencil
Pictures of objects with different shapes can look real by showing them with more than one side. This can be
done by using three-dimensional shapes. Take a look at the following illustrations.
Showing two or more sides of a picture by means of angles will make them look three-dimensional. Thickness
can show upward position while shading make us think that an object has another side.
ART
How can you make these objects look three dimensional? Draw and color them below.

DRAWING FROM SHAPES
LESSON 8
OBJECTIVES
Complete the image through drawing the missing parts
Identify objects through its shape
MATERIALS
Module, computer/phone
Bond paper, color pencils/crayons, pencil
We have learned that lines can create shapes. From these lines and shapes, we can draw pictures of
objects. To be able to draw pictures, we should remember the following:
ART 1
What do you think do these shapes stand for? Draw them in the opposite boxes. Don’t forget to
complete the picture.
9
ART 2
Look at the picture below. Copy this picture by drawing the rest of its parts in the sketch under it.
Color.
