PROFILE

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the session, the participants will be able to acquire/develop the art of questioning to facilitate effectively the
TERMINAL OBJECTIVE teaching – learning process & to assess critically the achievement of instructional goals and objectives.

1. Recall the characteristics, types and purposes of questioning.


2. Classify questions according to the Taxonomic levels.
ENABLING OBJECTIVES 3. Frame questions appropriate to the target skills.
4. Realize the importance of enhancing skills in questioning.

most powerful tools we have for making decisions and solving
problems, for inventing, changing and improving our lives as
well as the lives of others. Powerful Questions leads to
Information Power.

students to identify thinking processes, to see the connections
between ideas and to build new understanding as they work
their way to a solution that makes sense to them.

Closing
Before we end our session today, let me share with you a quote Slides # 43 -45
from Earnst Sachs “To question well is to teach well. In the skillful use of
questions, more than anything else lies the fine art of teaching” and Josef
Albers “Good teaching is more a giving of right questions than a giving of
right answers”.
