    Nancy Litten is a pianist, violinist and music teacher who studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London. She has published many books of
    pieces for young musicians.
    She says of this piece: ‘I visualise this sad ghost having a peep at its old haunts and, when the coast is clear, gradually making itself at home and
    even forgetting its sadness and reliving happy times. But it disappears into the air at the end.’
