EG device and get the ip address automatically for network segment (192.168.110.0/24).
3.The whole process of SON is carried out independently between devices without additional

What should I do If I fail to pop-up the portal page?
(1) Confirm whether the client has obtained the IP address. If not, check whether the network configuration is
correct.
(2) Check whether the DNS is correct, try to configure the common DNS: 8.8.8.8.
(3) Open the browser, manually enter http://1.1.1.1to check whether the portal page is popped up.
(4) Disable pop-up blocking. The browser may be set to block pop-ups so as to save data and prevent you from
seeing any annoying ads when you visit website.
How to do if Cloud topology displays abnormal?
(1) Try to upgrade all the devices to latest firmware.

(2) Make sure that the devices are online on Ruijie Cloud. if the device is offline or not online, will not be displayed
on topology.
(3) If there are only AP devices in the project, the cloud topology will not be displayed.
(4) It is requiring a root node device, which can be the EG or core switch.
(5) Calculate all connected devices through the root node and update the topology; the data required are MAC,
ARP and Routing, etc. If miss some info, some “Virtual devices” exist in the network topology.
How to do if SSID is hard to connect or have not internet?
(1) Check whether the password entered is inconsistent with the configured password.
(2) Check whether the blocklist mode is enabled or not, if the clients be added to the blocklist, the clients cannot
connect to WiFi.
(3) Check whether the allowlist mode is enabled or not, if the clients not be added to the allowlist, the clients
cannot connect to WiFi.
(4) Check whether the number of users attempting to connect exceeds the allowed number of clients.
(5) If 5G-Prior Access (Band Steering) has been enabled. 2.4G terminals may not be able to connect in a timely
manner.
(6) If the terminal's RSSI value is too low, resulting in failure to establish a connection with the AP.
How to do if IPTV no display or blurry display?
(1) Check whether the cable or port is faulty, or the port bandwidth is insufficient.
(2) Check whether the multicast traffic is too large, and the device performance is insufficient.
(3) Check whether L2 multicast group lists have learned the group ip address dynamically.
(4) Check IPTV VLAN configuration, such as vlan id, vlan mode.
(5) Check L2 multicast configuration, such as whether enable the igmp snooping function, whether create the
static multicast entry, whether enable the multicast status in IPTV vlan, whether set the multicast Querier info and
enable the Querier Status.
(6) Check the IGMP version, make sure the version information is consistent.
(7) Check whether add the multicast group ip address into IGMP filter list, if the Behavior is deny ,so can’t get the
multicast traffic successfully.
(8) Chek whether the IPTV server is normal.
(9) Check whether the IPTV client is normal.

Q: What ports the ESW series use to communicate with Ruijie Cloud?
A: Reyee ESW series need to check whether the udp port 5683,6683,7683,8683 are blocked or not.
Q: What should I do if I fail to do the voucher authentication?

A:(1) Check whether the AP configuration is delivered successfully.
(2) Check whether the AP is wifi6 AP or not, Reyee wifi5 AP can not support AP portal feature.
(3) Check failure prompts. Common failure includes incorrect password, voucher expiration and traffic overdue. You
can check the voucher status on the Ruijie Cloud.
(4) If its prompt failed to find the network, you can try to save the SSID configuration again.
FAQ
Q: What should I do if I want to pop up the portal page by visiting the https website?
A: The AP authentication supports popping up portal page by visiting https website by default, and any other extra
configurations is unnecessary.
Q: Why does the wireless client not need to re-authenticate or enable the seamless when they reconnect to the Wi-Fi?
A: When the clients disconnect to the Wi-Fi, the AP will keep the user’s authentication status “online” for 5 minutes.
Q: How many portal templates do one project support?

A: Considering the performance and design aesthetic of the page, each project support 50 portal templates maximally.

Q: Whether Ruijie Cloud will send the alarm by email?

A: Yes, Ruijie cloud will send the alarm message via email.
Q: What should I do if I want to improve the wireless speed?

A: (1) Try to choose the best location. The location should be no wall or other objects between the clients and AP.
(2) Optimize the configuration of device, choose the best channel and adjust the bandwidth of AP.
(3) Try to upgrade the AP to the latest firmware.
