Important ID Cards

Aadhaar Card

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identity number available to all residents of India. It's

the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Aadhaar is the world's largest
biometric ID system.

Voter ID Card

The Indian Voter ID Card, also known as the Elector's Photo Identity Card (EPIC),
is given by the Election Commission of India to Indian citizens who are 18 years
old or older. This card helps people prove who they are when they vote in local,
state, and national elections.

PAN Card

A PAN is a unique identifier issued to all judicial entities identifiable under


the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961. It is issued by the Indian Income Tax
Department under the supervision of the Central Board for Direct Taxes (CBDT).

Driving License

In India, a driving licence is a must-have document for anyone who wants to drive
a vehicle. It is given out by the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across different
states. To get this licence, you must be at least 18 years old and pass a driving
test.

Ration Card

In India, a Ration Card is a crucial document for individuals living below the
poverty line. State governments issue ration cards to families so they can get food
at lower prices from government-subsidized shops every month under
the National Food Security Act.
ABC ID Card

The ABC ID is a special 12-digit code for students in India, created under
the National Education Policy 2020. It provides a "credit transfer" system that
allows students to switch from one program to another. The Academic Bank of
Credits (ABC) is designed to enable students to move freely between different
Higher Education Institutions in the country.

ABHA Card

The Ayushman Bharat Health Account Card (ABHA Card), part of


India's Ayushman Bharat scheme, is a digital health ID for Indian citizens. This
card helps in accessing healthcare services and allows the storage of medical
information in a centralized digital system.

Samagra ID Card

The Samagra ID card is a unique identification number issued by the Government


of Madhya Pradesh, India, to its residents. This nine-digit identifier is part of
the Samagra Portal initiative, aimed at improving the delivery of government
services and social welfare schemes to the citizens of the state.

Indian Passport

An Indian passport is a travel document issued by the Ministry of External Affairs


of India to Indian citizens. It allows them to travel outside India and proves they
are Indian citizens.

OCI Card

The Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) Card allows People of Indian Origin (PIOs)
who were Indian citizens on or after January 26, 1950, or were eligible to become
Indian citizens on that date, to register as Overseas Citizens of India, except for
those who were citizens of Pakistan, Bangladesh, or other countries specified by
the Indian government.

Samagra ID

Samagra ID is a unique nine-digit number given to residents, making it easier for


them to use government services and benefits. This nine-digit identifier ensures
quick and direct access to government services like education, healthcare, and
food assistance for residents of Madhya Pradesh.
