We are thrilled to share the details of “VistAura”, Interschool Competition 2024 for Classes I to XII.

The Smt. Mamta Gundecha Memorial Rotating Trophy initiated in 2007, has seen overwhelming
enthusiasm and whole hearted participation from schools across Mumbai , making it a much sought
after annual event in the school circuit and a celebrated tradition.

We take great pleasure in organizing VistAura 2024.

INTERSCHOOL COMPETITION
GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

a) Participants are not permitted to participate in multiple events.


b) Participants must NOT wear their respective school uniforms or wear their school I-cards.
c) The dress code for participants is plain Black T-shirt and Blue / Black jeans, except where specific
costumes , as per the requirement of the event, are stipulated in the guidelines given.
d) There is no participation fee.
e) The participants and their accompanying teacher/s must report to Gundecha Education Academy,
Oshiwara Branch at 8:30 a.m. sharp on Saturday, 3rd August, 2024.
f) Schools are requested to come on time. Latecomers will be admitted however, no time extension will be
given to them on account of late arrival.
g) First 20 Entries of schools only will be enrolled.
h) On-the-spot entries of schools for events will not be enrolled.
i) Scoring: Points from all events will be added to the school score tally. The school receiving the highest points
will be the winner of the coveted Smt. Mamta Gundecha Memorial Rotating Trophy 2024. Hence schools
are requested to participate in all /maximum number of events possible to maximize their chances of winning
the Trophy.
j) The announcement of the winning schools will be made on the same day, Saturday, 3rd August -2024. We
kindly request all schools to stay back until the conclusion of the competition. The prize distribution is
expected to conclude by 3.30 pm. The Smt. Mamta Gundecha Memorial Rotating Trophy will be awarded to
the overall best performing school on the same day i.e. Saturday, 3rd August 2024.
k) Parents are NOT allowed to accompany the participants. However, in case the participating schools wish to,
they may ask parents to pick up the participants directly from the venue in coordination with the
accompanying teachers of the respective school. The host school would not be responsible for the dispersal
of participants after the event.
l) The accompanying teacher/s (2) must carry their school I-card / an authority letter from their respective
school.
m) The participants may carry their water bottles, snacks, lunch, bags etc. Canteen facility in the school will also
be available against payment.
n) In case the participants are brought to the venue by the school buses, kindly note that the parking for the
buses will have to be arranged by the respective schools and the host school would not be liable for any
infractions regarding the same.
o) For outstation teams and participants, participating schools are responsible for arranging their
accommodation and meals. All other Rules & Regulations for different events have been detailed separately.
p) The decisions of the judges are conclusive and not subject to appeal. Additionally, the host school retains the
authority to propose resolutions in the event of disputes, which will be final and binding.
q) Please send the duly filled in acknowledgement and entry form by email to

EVENT :1
"Little Picasso’s Drawing Competition"

Eligibility: Class - I.
Individual Event: Each School must send ONLY one student from Class I.
Rules:
Eligibility: Participant must be studying presently in Class I
Materials: Participants may use crayons or colour pencils only.
Size of Drawing: An A4-sized Drawing Sheet will be provided by the Host School.
Theme: "My Dream Garden."
Time Limit: Participants will have 1 hour to complete their drawing.
Originality: All artwork must be created by the participant during the competition.
Assistance: No assistance from accompanying teachers, is allowed during the
competition .
Submission: Drawings must be submitted at the end of the allotted time.
Identification: Each drawing must have the Participant's name, class and School
Code on the back of the drawing sheet. The School Code will be provided during
registration on the day of the competition.

Judging Criteria:

EVENT:2.
"Healthy Habits Quiz Bowl"
Eligibility: Classes II & III.
Team Event : 2 Participants per team, one from each Class
Team Composition:
Each team must consist of two students, one from Class II and one from Class III.
Format:
The quiz will comprise of multiple rounds, including a Preliminary round, Semi-final,
and Final.Questions will cover topics like nutrition, hygiene, exercise, and general
healthy habits.
Question Types:
✓ Multiple choice
✓ True / False
✓ Short answers
✓ Picture identification
Answering:
• Teams will be given a buzzer or bell to answer questions.
• Each team will have a set time to answer once they buzz in.
• If a team cannot answer within the stipulated time, the
question will be passed to all teams.
• The team that opts to answer by pressing the buzzer and
gives the correct answer will receive a bonus of 10 points.

Judging Criteria:
Points System as per the rounds:
➢ Correct answers in the Preliminary round: 20 points each.
➢ Correct answers in the Semi-finals: 35 points each.
➢ Correct answers in the Finals: 35 points each.

Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie, a set of rapid-fire questions will be asked, and the team -with
the maximum number of correct answers wins.
Good sportsmanship is expected from all participants. Disruptive behaviour will lead to
disqualification.

Correct answers will be awarded full points as per the round. Points will be awarded for
answering within the allotted time.

EVENT 3:

“LEGENDS OF INDIA: A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME”.

Eligibility: Class IV
Individual Event: Each School must send ONLY one student from class IV.

1. Eligibility:
• Participants: Students of Class - IV
• Individual Entry: Only individual entry from each participating school will be
accepted).
• Theme: Participants can select any famous Indian personality from the fields
of Literature/ History / Science / Mathematics.

2. Criteria:
• Creativity: Originality and creativity in costume design and portrayal.
• Authenticity: Accuracy of the costume in representing the chosen character
• Presentation: Confidence, poise, and overall presentation during the performance.
• Adherence to Theme: How well the costume and presentation resemble the chosen
personality.
• Overall Impact: The overall impression and impact of the performance on the judges

2. Rules:

• Costume: Must represent an Indian personality from the field of Literature /


History / Science /Mathematics.
• Performance: Each participant will have up to 2 minutes to introduce the famous
personality they are representing, speaking in the first person narrative.
• Props: Simple props are allowed but must be manageable by the participant.
• Safety: Costumes and props must be safe and must not pose any safety hazard for
the participants or audience.
• Respect: Participants must show respect for the personality they represent.

RHYTHMS OF CELEBRATION

(Dance Competition)

Eligibility: Classes: V, VI & VII


Team Event: Number of participants: 9 participants; 3 from each class Boys & / Girls

Rules of the Competition:

1. Participants must depict any major Carnival celebrated in any Country / City
2. Dance Style: Free Style
3. Performance Time: Each performance should last for 3 minutes. Stage setup and
removal of the setup after the performance should be completed within 2 minutes.
4. Costumes: Teams should wear costumes that reflect the chosen theme. Hired
costumes may be used. However, they must not be offensive.
5. Music: Music must be pre-recorded and submitted in advance. It should be
appropriate and free from offensive language.
6. Props: Props are allowed but costumes and props must be safe and must not pose any
safety hazard for the participants or audience. Teams are responsible for setting up and
removing their props within their allotted time.
7. Originality: Choreography should be original.

Important point to note:


• Music for the performance is required to be brought on a labeled pen drive in MP3
format and submitted during registration on the day of the competition. The pen
drive should only have the School Code written on it, which will be provided
during registration on the day of the competition.

RJ RENDEZVOUS
(Radio Jockey Competition)
Eligibility: Class VIII
Team Event : Number of participants: 2 participants.

1. Composition of the Team:


One participant will be the Radio Jockey and the other participant will enact a
Doctor or Dietician or Oncologist or Celebrity.
2. Format:
o Participants perform live
o Each performance should last for 3 to 4 minutes.
3. Content:
o Content must be original and appropriate for the age group.
4. Presentation:
o Clarity, fluency, and engagement with the audience are essential factors.
5. Time Limit: 3 - 4 minutes

"GAME INNOVATORS’ CHALLENGE"
(Coding Competition)

Eligibility: Class VIII or IX


TEAM EVENT
Number of participants: TWO participants either from Class VIII or IX, from each school.

Rules:
✓ Originality: All games must be original and created specifically for this competition.
Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
✓ Platform: Participants can use “Scratch 3.0” programming language.
✓ Submission Format: Games must be submitted in executable format (playable
version) with source code and documentation explaining the game mechanics,
controls, and any special features.
✓ Theme: The game must align with a given theme announced at the start of the
competition (e.g., "Adventure", "Puzzle", "Eco-friendly" or others).
✓ Duration: Participants will have 1 hour to develop their game.
✓ Presentation: Participants must present their game and demonstrate gameplay to the
judges.

TED Talk

1. Eligibility: Classes IX, X, XI, XII


2. INDIVIDUAL event.
Participating schools must send 1 participant from any of the classes IX - XII

Topic will be provided by the host school. Participants will pick up a chit containing their
assigned topic.
Criteria

1. Originality: The talk should present original ideas or unique perspectives on the
topic given.
2. Relevance: The talk should be relevant to the topic and address contemporary
issues or themes.
3. Depth of Research: Participants should demonstrate thorough understanding of their
given topic.
4. Presentation Skills: This includes clarity of speech, confidence, body language, and
engagement with the audience.

Rules

1. Participants will be given half an hour to plan and prepare their talk.
2. Time Limit: Talks should typically be within a specific time frame of 10 minutes.
3. Language: English
4. Code of Conduct: Participants must maintain a code of conduct that promotes
respect, integrity, and professionalism. Any offensive language would lead to
disqualification.

CHARITY FUNDRAISER

(CREATIVE WAYS TO RAISE MONEY FOR A CAUSE)


Eligibility: Classes IX & X
Team event.
Each Team will have 2 participants, one from each class.
Each participating school is required to send one team.
Each Team is required to bring their Laptop to prepare a PowerPoint presentation and present
the same to the Judges.

Competition Details:
A list of Different Possible Causes for fund raising will be given to the participants.
Participating teams will plan and execute innovative fundraising activities to support a
chosen cause or charity. The goal is to raise awareness and funds through creative and
impactful methods.
The students will prepare a PPT to present to the Judges
Preparation time: 30 minutes.
Presentation time: 10 minutes.

Rules of the Competition:

1. Team Formation: Team should consist of 2 students.


2. Fundraising Methods: Teams can use any legal and ethical methods to raise
funds.Examples include bake sales, car washes, sponsored runs, online crowd-
funding, etc.
3. Documentation: Teams must present a PPT for their fundraising activities,
including planning, execution, and total funds expected to raise. This can
include photos, videos and a written report.
4. Presentation: At the end of the fundraising period, teams will present their PPT to
a panel of judges. The presentation should include their fundraising methods,
challenges, and the final projected amount to be raised.

➢ Each participating school may send one team.
➢ Each Team is required to bring their Laptop to prepare a Power point presentation and
present the same to the judges.
