PROCEDURES FOR JOINING VETA CENTRES
The following are the procedures for joining VETA centres:
i. Applications for joining VETA centres are invited in August every year, through
announcements in the media and in the VETA’s website: www.veta.go.tz;
ii. Application are followed by Aptitude Test, conducted in October.
iii. The applicant is allowed to do the aptitude tests in the region where he collected the
application form thou the selected center for training might be in any other region;
iv. Successful candidates are notified in November or December, ready to start training in
January of the next year;
v. Successful applicants are served with joining instructions letter that stipulates the
necessary requirements for the training. The requirements differ from one centre to another,
occupation to be pursued and whether boarding or day;
vi. In entry, the trainee starts at level I, which is the lowest level. Progression thereafter is to
levels II and III
THE TRAINING FEES

The current annual fees for long courses for the VETA centres, is Tsh 60,000/= for day trainees,
and Tsh 120,000/= for boarding. However, the fees may change at any time depending on
changes of running costs.
