Persuasive Argument Essay First Draft

Ethnic Discrimination

Discrimination based on race or language has recently become a major problem in

Afghanistan. Racism, or the belief that some racial or ethnic groups are superior to others,

guarantees that those groups will have power and benefit in society. "Unfair, differential

treatment on the basis of race or ethnicity" is how the behavioral type of racism known as "ethnic

discrimination" is defined. Under Taliban rule, minorities in Afghanistan frequently face

discrimination on the basis of their gender, ethnicity, language, and religion. The Taliban, who

are Sunni Muslims, have a long history of abusing minority religious groups, including Shiyas,

Hindus, and Sikhs. Additionally, ethnic conflict has existed in Afghanistan for centuries. In order

to help reduce ethnic/language discrimination we must listen and educate ourselves, raise

awareness and decide a punishment for it.

We should first educate oneself by listening to others. We may grasp and see many concepts,

cultures, lifestyles, faiths, and ethnicities when we educate ourselves. We must recognize the

value of one another because every person in the world is different. Numerous books exist that

can educate us and help in our fight against the racist disease. When your friends, classmates,

neighbors, and local officials discuss how racism impacts them on a daily basis, pay attention.

There are also a ton of articles, books, movies, documentaries, and podcasts that cover racism,

prejudice, and privilege. Pay attention to the opinions of the locals. Recognize your privilege

and deal with it. Be prepared to occasionally feel uncomfortable. Because many of us acquire

biases and preconceptions at a young age, they are challenging to unlearn. We can continue this
method for our future generation on just one occasion of education. To combat prejudice and

prevent it from dominating the next generation, we must work with them.

Second, we need to raise awareness. Provide your community with access to the valuable tools

you have found so they can learn how they can help end racism and discrimination. For your

younger siblings or family members, set a good example. Additionally, look online for games or

books that can help kids learn that everyone has a right to dignity and safety. Today's technology

has raised the standard of living, allowing us to spread racist comments online anytime we come

across them. Because they will feel ashamed of what they did, we can stop many tongues by

doing this. Racism is an immoral practice that must be eliminated as quickly as possible. Making

banners to hang at schools and universities is another approach to discourage our youth from

engaging in these immoral behaviors.

Thirdly, we need to decide how to penalize the offender. Imagine if there were no penalties for

stealing; everyone would be caught doing it despite it being wrong. If a wicked deed goes

unpunished or without consequences, the world will force that deed upon you. The same is true

of racism and discrimination. There won't be any penalty, thus there won't be any fear. The best

method to punish them and ensure that they learn their lesson is to imprison them. For instance,

it is against the law to discriminate against people or their religion in the UAE. Penalties can

range from a six-month to a ten-year prison sentence to fines of DH 50,000 to DH 2,000,000. If

not, we can reduce the person's income who is performing this behavior.
Some people think racism is a form of prejudice that maintains that some racial categories are

inferior to others because their members possess differentiating characteristics. However, this

idea is false because nobody in this world is inferior or superior than anyone else; everyone is on

an equal balance. Treating people properly means doing so regardless of their race, gender,

financial status, handicap, religion, or any other factor. This is what it means to treat people

equitably. Everyone in a community should be able to work together, solve problems, and feel

safe and cared for if everyone is treated fairly. A crucial aspect of human rights is the equal

treatment of all people. Therefore, each individual should be treated with respect, dignity, and

kindness, regardless of their particular circumstances. We are all different from one another, and

that is fantastic. To someone who is substantially different from them, though, some people can

occasionally be unpleasant and cruel.

In conclusion, discrimination is a very big issue in the world nowadays. To reduce it, we need

to be aware of it, increase awareness, and decide a punishment for it if we are to contribute to the

reduction of racial and discrimination. We can increase our knowledge by reading more books,

raising awareness through social media and determining a punishment for it.
