Our records show you are currently receiving family assistance. Family assistance payments
include Family Tax Benefit and Child Care Subsidy.
We use your family income estimate to work out how much Family Tax Benefit to pay. Having an
accurate income estimate will reduce your risk of being overpaid or underpaid family assistance.
Our service centres have free Wi-Fi and computers available for you to use.
If you do not update your family income estimate by 14 June 2024, we will use the estimates we
have calculated in Option 2.
If your circumstances change, you must update your family income estimate.
Avoid an overpayment
Our records show that your partner's estimate used to determine your rate of family assistance is
less than your partner's most recent actual annual family income. An overpayment can occur when
your actual annual family income is higher than your estimated income for the relevant financial
year. Please consider estimating your own family income using Option 1 for 2024-2025 to make
sure you receive the correct amount of family assistance.
