Czech Republic : Tourist/Family Visa

Checklist of documents required (updated as on 1st August 2023):

(c) it shall have been issued within the previous 10 years

Duly filled VISA application form with signature on last point as per passport, along
with all other visa form with signature, related to Tourist and family visit visa
application.
For Minor’s visa form, we required both parents and the applicant’s signature as per
2 passport.
Two passport size latest photographs as per these specifications: Size 35X45mm,
white background, face should comprise 80% of the photo, wearing dark clothes,
3 without eyewear and both ears should be clearly visible and no teeth to be shown.
Covering letter on plain paper if working or retired, addressed ‘The Embassy of Czech
Republic, New Delhi’ giving all the details about the personal trip. Letter to be signed
by applicant.
If self employed , covering letter on company letterhead addressed to ‘The Embassy
of Czech Republic, New Delhi’ giving all the details about the personal trip. Letter to
4 be signed by authorized signatory along with business seal.
Latest 6 months updated personal bank statement with bank stamp & signature on
5 each page. If self employed, company bank statement for last 3 months.
Personal ITR copy for last 3 years for salaried person. If self employed, company ITR
6 copy for last 3 years
Latest 3 months salary slips and leave letter as per travel dates with company stamp
7 & signature. Current job Appointment letter
8 Foreign Exchange or copy of International credit card (both sides)
Declaration letter if you are unable to provide any document or wish to give any
9 explanation.
10 Return Flight Tickets , Side trip tickets
11 Confirmed hotel bookings with applicant name mentioned in the reservation
Overseas Medical Travel Insurance covering the entire travel period with minimum
12 coverage of 30,000/- Euros
Civil Status Proof :
Marriage Certificate/ Affidavit if spouse’s name is not mentioned in Passport
Death Certificate incase of widow/er
Divorce papers
No Objection Certificate from both parents certified by public notary on 100 Rs Stamp
paper along with their passport copies incase of child travelling alone or with

Incase of Honeymooners - Wedding card from Both sides are required (Groom and
Bride), Atleast 04 Engagements photos. NOC letter from Bride’s Parents on company
letterhead if self-employed or if working or retired on A4 size paper with signature

Incase of Sponspored Trip, covering letter addressed to ‘The Embassy of Czech
Republic, New Delhi’ about the sponsorship. Letter to be signed by authorized
signatory.
If sponsor is self employed , letter should be on company letterhead with company
stamp and signature along with ID proof.
Latest 3 months updated personal bank statement with bank stamp & signature on
each page. Personal ITR copy for last 3 years for salaried person.If self employed,

If Family Visit additional documents required from Czech Rebuplic :
1. Invitation letter with valid Passport and VISA/residence permit copy from
Invitee.
2. Residence proof
3. Income Proof (Employment contract/Latest 3 months salary slips)
4. Latest 6 months Updated Personal bank statement.

Important Information:

Tourist visa application is applicable in case you are travelling for tourism purposes. This visa is
given for travel period of less than 90 days.
Visit to family or friend visa application is applicable in case you are travelling for visiting your
family member or friend. This visa is given for travel period of less than 90 days

The European Union has introduced the Biometric system (Fingerprints & Digital Photo)to apply for all
Schengen country visas since 2ndNovember 2015 & all applicants have to visit respective facilitationcentre
of Embassy/Consulate for the same.

This biometric data will be valid for a period of 5 years. The applicantis not required to give any
biometric again while applying for any Schengen country for the said period. (Subject to change as per
Consulate/Embassy guidelines)

Following applicants are exempted from biometrics:

• Children under 12 years of age
• Applicants for whom the collection of fingerprints is physically impossible
• Sovereigns and other senior members of a royal family, Heads of State and members of the national
Governments (with their official delegations and spouses) if they travel for official purposes

Processing Time:
Czech Republic Tourist visa takes 8 to 15 working days.

The processing time of a Schengen visa application takes in accordance with the Schengen Visa Code up to
15 calendar days after reaching the embassy (not after the submission at the VFS Visa Application Center).
It is highly recommended that the applicants plan their journey accordingly as in the case of short
processing time it is not guaranteed the visa applications will be processed before the date of the intended
journey. Please note that the short term Schengen visa applications submitted at VFS application centers
other than Delhi will be submitted to the Embassy within 3 working days from the date of submission.

The VFS Premium Service Lounge is available at the visa application centers in
Delhi/Ahmedabad/Chennai/Cochin/Hyderabad/Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore/Kolkata Whitefield
and it offers:
This service includes:
• Direct access to a Premium Service counter where our staff will verify the documents
provided, and take payment in a single location
• Cold and hot beverages available at your disposal
• A dedicated team member assisting during the submission process
• Photocopy, Printing, Photograph, SMS and Courier services
• The option of submitting any missing documents before 16:00 the same day
• This service does not guarantee the right to obtain a visa, nor faster processing of your visa
application by the Mission. Using the Premium Lounge service does not guarantee the success
of your visa application or affect the service standard.

The Premium Lounge Service costs 3020 /- INR+ VFS Logistics (All VFS’s service charges are
inclusive of Goods & Service Tax –SGST @9% and CGST@9%)
