1. In line with Regional Memorandum No. 42, s. 2019 entitled “2019 STARS
(Service-Oriented, Talented, Affective, Resilient, Spritually-Driven) Awards, this Office
announces the conduct of Saludo Educators Award 2019.
2. Saludo Educators Award 2019 is under the Program for Awards and Incentives for
Service Excellence (PRAISE). The annual search is aimed at recognizing exemplary
performances in the quality implementation of Basic Education services in the Schools
Division Office of Cagayan. Also, the winners will represent the Division in the Regional
Search.
4. Attached are the references/guides in the conduct of the search from the school up
to the Division Level.

RATIONALE
In line with the Revised Policies and Employees Suggestion and Incentive Awards System provided under CSC
Resolution No. 010112 and CSC MC No. 01, s. 2001 the Department of Education, Schools Division Office of
Cagayan implements the Program for Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) through the
conduct of the annual SALUDO EDUCATORS AWARD. The Search aims to recognize exemplary
performances in the quality implementation of Basic Education services and commendable display of
professionalism of schools, school heads, teachers, non-teaching employees which contributed to the attainment
of the DepEd Vision and Mission.
OBJECTIVES
CATEGORIES OF AWARDS
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Filipino citizen
2. Must be at least three (3) years in his/her present position with three (3) consecutive years of IPCR
3. Must not be on leave at the time of nomination
4. Must be a winner at the school/district/congressional district/division Search
5. No pending administrative/civil/criminal case
6. Must not be an awardee of National Search
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Endorsement from the President of the Congressional District and the Office of the SDS/ASDS
2. Duly accomplished nomination form
3. Latest appointment
4. Service Record
5. Other required documents vis-à-vis criteria
AWARDS

3. Cash Prizes for Winners and Finalists
PROCEDURE
1. Nominees for the various awards shall be winners in the school, district, congressional district and
division Search
2. Nominees must be endorsed by the Schools Division Superintendent (for SDO proper) and the
Congressional District Presidents (congressional district)
3. Congressional District shall submit necessary documents of their respective nominees to the Division
Search Committee headed by the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent duly received by the
Records Section on or before the scheduled deadline of submission.
4. Each Congressional District shall nominate one (1) for every category
5. Sub-committees organized by the Division PRAISE Committee shall evaluate the submitted documents
within a week.
6. After the document evaluation, face to face interview shall follow to be done at SDO Cagayan to be
administered by the respective sub-committee chairpersons and members
Note: A ten-minute video presentation shall be a required material in this stage
7. The nominees per congressional district shall be subjected to an unannounced on-site validation
8. After the on-site validation, PRAISE Committee and sub-committee members shall convene to finalize
the results
9. All nominees shall be finalists and there is only one winner per category
10. All finalists and winners shall be notified through a Division Memorandum
11. Winners shall be submitted to the Regional Office to compete for the Regional STARS Award
