PRAYER TO BREAK GENERATIONAL CURSES

PRAYER
Today Jesus, I declare that you are my Lord and Savior. I believe that You died on the cross for
my sins. I thank You that You took my sins, and curses to the cross, and that You became a
curse for me. In the name of Jesus, I renounce any curse placed on my life. I ask that the blood
of Jesus cleanse me and set me free in these areas. I have acknowledged, repent of, and
renounce any curse, gossip, negative words, anger, and judgment that I have spoken against
people, knowingly or unknowingly. Please forgive me. I release myself, and others from the
power, and effect of these words, in the name of Jesus. I bless those who curse me.
PRAYER FOR BREAKING GENERATIONAL CURSES

Jesus, I come before You today, and acknowledge that You are my Lord and Savior. I believe You
died on the cross for my sins, and the sins of my ancestors. You took our sin, and curses to the
cross, and You exchanged curses for blessings, and defeated Satan, and his powers.
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce sins, and curses in our family line (mother and
father). As Jeremiah prayed in Jeremiah 14:20, “We acknowledge, oh Lord, our wickedness, and
the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against you. Lord, we do the same today.” I
choose to forgive my ancestors for their sins, and I release them in forgiveness. No longer do I
blame them for the condition of my life. I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce all
ungodly thoughts, negativity, gossip, bitter words, vows, judgments, curses, ungodly covenants,
and beliefs from my ancestors, and in my life (examples: pride, anger, fear, resentment,
bitterness, violence, shame, witchcraft, and hatred of men, and/or women). I acknowledge,
confess, repent of, and renounce all rejection in my ancestors, and myself. I acknowledge,
confess, repent of, and renounce ownership of all addictions in my ancestors, and myself
(examples: alcohol, nicotine, drugs, food, pornography, TV, video games, computer, and other
false comforts). I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce all sexual sin in my ancestors,
and myself (examples: adultery, fornication, homosexuality/lesbianism, incest, lust,
masturbation, prostitution, rape, sexual abuse, bestiality, obsession, and perversions).
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce the destruction of marriage, and family through
divorce from my ancestors and myself. I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce the
curse of Freemasonry in my family line known, and unknown, and in myself. I renounce every
word, action, and agreement with Freemasonry relating to all degrees and everything they
represent spiritually. I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce any connection of my
ancestors, or myself of being a part of any ungodly organization, secret society, college
fraternity, or sorority. I renounce all valves, secret hand grips, traditions, emblems, and badges
associated with those organizations. I renounce the effects that these curses have had on my
family, and me. I acknowledge, confess, and repent of, renounce untimely death, physically and
spiritually, of my ancestors, and myself (examples: abortion, death in the womb, premature
death, sudden and traumatic death, suicide, murder/war, unresolved grief, anger, bitterness,
resentment, fear, loss of dreams, and hope). I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce
the effects of guilt, false guilt, and fear, of my ancestors, and myself. I acknowledge, confess,
and renounce the effects of war on my ancestors, and myself (examples: loss of family,
homes, land, possessions, finance, health, destruction, and pride). I acknowledge, confess, and
renounce all religious restrictions, and constriction from a Christian church, denomination, or a
different religion on my ancestors, or myself (examples: legalism, false doctrine, spiritual abuse,
oaths, vows, and rituals). I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce all involvement with
the occult by my ancestors, and myself. I recognize that supernatural knowledge, and power not
coming from God is evil. I renounce every agreement, covenant, and blood covenant involved
with the occult that has affected my ancestors, and me. I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and
renounce where my family line has not taught the ways of God to my ancestors or me
(examples: loss of godly blessings, heritage, inheritance, and reaping the consequences of sin -
sickness and poverty). I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce any ungodly soul ties in
the lives of my ancestors, or my life. I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce ungodly
attitudes, practices, and involvement in the cultural background of my ancestors (examples:
prejudice, superiority, pride, shame, and ungodly things in our culture). I acknowledge, confess,
and renounce all hereditary illnesses and weaknesses in my ancestry, and myself. I
acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce generational curses or sins in financial areas. In
my finances, I resolved to be obedient to the Lord in finance, tithes, and offerings.
Forgive me, Lord, for blaming you, blaming others, and blaming myself. In the name of Jesus I
acknowledge, confess, repent of, renounce, and release my ancestors, family, and myself from
curses and generational curses. In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind any demonic spirits, and
powers involved in curses, and generational curses in my bloodline and my life. I command satan
to loose his hold over all areas of the lives of my family, and myself. Heavenly father, I receive
your forgiveness and freedom today. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
