    In your team, you will use the Clinical Coding and Coding Compliance Case Study Download

    Clinical Coding and Coding Compliance Case Study to write a 5–10 page business report
    (excluding the title page), that includes the requirements outlined below.
    If you feel you have a legitimate reason to work independently on this assignment, you must
    email me with your request and reasoning for approval before you proceed with the assignment.
    The assignment requirements and level of quality expected in your submission will not change if
    you choose to complete this assignment independently.

    1. Begin by reading and analyzing the information provided in the case study. Referring
    to the information provided in the tables, consider which parts (error, coder, and MS-
    DRG) should be focused on more than others.
    2. Include an ongoing review and monitoring schedule for the next year. The details
    included in the schedule are listed in the instructions. You may use any format to
    present it, such as a narrative document (Word file) or spreadsheet document (Excel
    file), or a combination of both. You may add graphics, tables, project management
    tools (GANTT or PERT chart) to make it effective, efficient, and reasonable.
    Consider the factors of human resources, budget, training, information, etc. You may
    find a calendar or timeline to be helpful.
    3. How will you reward? There is no standard answer to this question. Substantiate your
    reasons, and make sure the reward is reasonable and within budget. If the reward is
    high, do you have enough money?

    Additional hints:

    1. This is a scenario-based assignment. You will need to identify potential problems in


    the organization. To do so, analyze the scenarios, i.e., the tables and figure. What do
    the tables and figure tell you? For example, which coder made the most errors? In
    which DRG code did the coders make the most errors? Each table or figure provides
    you with specific information. Based on your analysis, write one or more paragraphs
    that describes the problems you have identified.
    2. Design the schedule according to the analysis you conducted in part (a). The schedule
    should be comprehensive, as well as focused on the problems. For example: A
    general organizational training plan that also solves the problems you have identified.
    3. The assignment also asks how to monitor the coding quality statistics. You need to
    describe your plan to do so. You can integrate it in the annual schedule or include it
    as a separate paragraph. The format of your final product can vary. It can be a
    narrative or a chart. Be creative to make a vivid and effective product, but you do not
    need to get fancy. Your design choices should serve to enhance the quality of your
    product.
    4. Because it is a business report, you do not need to follow the APA or use any citation.
    There is no "Reference" page at the end of the report.
