    A. Meaning of recount
    A recount text is a type of writing that retells past events or experiences
    in a chronological order, usually presented in the form of a story. It aims to
    inform and entertain the reader while providing details about what
    happened, where, when, and why. Recount texts are often found in personal
    narratives, diaries, historical accounts, and news reports

    B. Purpose of recount text


    Recounts are written to retell events with the purpose of either informing or
    entertaining their audience (or both).

    C. Structure of recount text

     Orientation: Introduce the event by providing details such as where and


    when it happened, and who was involved.

     Series of Events: Describe the sequence of actions that took place


    during the event, including key moments and developments.

     Reorientation: Conclude the recount by summarizing the outcome or


    results of the event, and possibly expressing opinions or emotions.

    D. Example recount text


    Examples of recount text about sport event:

    Orientation Last weekend, i had the opportunity to watch an exciting Character


    soccer match between the local teams, Lions United and
    Thunder FC. The match took place at the city stadium
    and had a huge crowd of enthusiastic fans Events

    Time

    Series of event The match began with Thunder FC taking an early lead Event 1
    within the first 10 minutes. Their striker, Alex Ramirez,
    scored a remarkable goal with a powerful shot from
    outside the penalty area. The Lions United players were
    determined not to let their fans down and pushed hard to
    equalize.
    In the second half, the atmosphere in the stadium
    became even more intense as Lions United managed to
    score a fantastic goal. Sarah Johnson, their midfielder, Event 2
    showcased her skills by dribbling past two defenders and
    slotting the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
    As the clock ticked down, both teams intensified their
    efforts to secure the victory. Thunder FC's defense was
    put to the test as Lions United launched a series of
    attacks, but their goalkeeper, Mark Thompson, made Event 3
    some brilliant saves to keep his team in the game.

    Re orientation In the dying minutes of the match, Thunder FC managed


    to capitalize on a defensive mistake from Lions United
    and scored the winning goal through a close-range
    header from their captain, Emily Roberts. The stadium
    erupted with cheers from Thunder FC's fans, while Lions
    United's supporters were left disappointed but still
    applauded their team's valiant efforts

    E. Conclution of recount text


    The conclusion of a recount text generally summarizes the main
    events or experiences that were described in the text. It brings closure to the
    narrative by restating the key points and reflecting on the significance of the
