INSTRUCTIONS
Write your project on A4 size sheet with a cover page in which your topic must be mentioned
along with your Class/section/Roll No.
Choose 2 topics (one topic from prose and one topic from poetry) from the following and make a
comic book presentation. The story should be clear just by looking at the comic book prepared by
you.
In the poem you can add to the story /give it a different ending/add new characters etc. For example
in “Dust of Snow” you can illustrate a conversation between Poet and crow/or you can illustrate his
interaction with a friend who is facing depression.

Q1. Explain why 3 × 5× 7 + 7 is a composite number.
Q2. Find LCM of numbers whose prime factorisation are expressible as 3 × 52 and 32 × 72.
Q3. Find the largest number which divides 70 and 125 leaving remainder 5 and 8 respectively.

in simplest form.

3x +10 and 16x – 43 respectively. Find the polynomial g(x).
Q12. If ‒ 4 is a root of the equation x2 + px ‒ 4 = 0 and the quadratic equation x2 + px +k = 0
has equal roots , then find the value of k.
Q13. If the roots of the equation (c2 ‒ ab) x2 ‒ 2 (a2 ‒ bc) x + b2 ‒ ac = 0 are equal, then prove
that either a = 0 or a3 + b3 + c3 = 3abc.
Q14. If α and β are the zeroes of the polynomial f(x) = x2 + 5x + 6, then evaluate :
(i) 1/α – 1/β (ii) 1/α + 1/β − 2αβ (iii) α2 β + αβ2

Q15. For which values of p and q, will the following pair of linear equations have infinitely
many solutions?

Q16. A motor boat can travel 30 km upstream and 28 km downstream in 7 hours. It can travel 21
km upstream and return in 5 hours. Find the speed of the boat in still water and the speed of
the stream.

the original number. If difference of these two numbers is 45, find the original number.
Q21. A man travels 300 km partly by train and partly by car. He takes 4 hours if the travels 60
km by train and the rest by car. If he travels 100 km by train and the remaining by car, he
takes 10 minutes longer. Find the speeds of the train and the car separately.
Q22. Find the nature of the roots of the following quadratic equations. If the real roots exist, find
them:
(i) 2x² -3x + 5 = 0
(ii) 3x2 – 4√3x + 4 = 0

the area is 800 m2? If so, find its length and breadth.

Niaz works in a garment factory. He has to give the report of each garment being designed and
stitched in his factory. His manager wants the same type of report for each garment. Instead of typing
every time, he has been suggested to use the template feature of Writer. He wants to create his own
default template and then use it to create multiple reports with same format and style. Give the
solution to complete this task.
