Pastor Dr. Tope Adeyemo
PREAMBLE
You are welcome to 2024 ACADA for Christ conference. Thanks be
to God who has brought you safe to Osogbo. I perceive, there is a
reason why God has brought you here for a meeting with him. He
wants to charge you, to equip you to become a champion, an
overcomer in this end time. I can see God is deeply interested in
recruiting into His army of which Jesus Christ is the captain so that
He can bring His many sons to glory.
Heb.2.10 - For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom
are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the
captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Jesus Himself declared “ John.16.33 - These things I have spoken
unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall
have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
This year, we shall be taking a close look at Daniel, who though
lived when grace was not yet manifested as we have it today, yet
was an overcomer of societal corruption, blackmail, ridicule and
persecution for righteousness sake.
Youthful exuberance and Babylonian culture did not succeed in
turning this young man against his God.
He overcame lust for sumptuous food and worldly music in the
palace. Dan.1.8 - But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not
defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine
which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the
eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Recall Esau who despised and lost his birth right on plate of red
pottage Heb.12.16 - Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person,
as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Heb.12.17 - For ye know how that afterward, when he would have
inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of
repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
Daniel, keeping his promise and covenant with God in the place of
prayer , came out victoriously from the den of lions, where his
enemies later perished. God is looking for such men who will serve
Him without fear of man or death.
Because He was found faithful by his boss, the king, envy, jealousy
and blackmail was lavished on Him. Dan.6.1 - It pleased Darius to
set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should
be over the whole kingdom;
Dan.6.2 - And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first:
that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king
should have no damage.
Dan.6.2 - And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first:
that the princes might give accounts un
Dan.6.3 - Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and
princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king
thought to set him over the whole realm.
Dan.6.4 - Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion
against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none
occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there
any error or fault found in him.

Instead of demotion, he was elevated. He was preferred by

successive kings.

Now that the grace of God that brings salvation and victory has
appeared to all men, we have no excuse to stop the mouth of lions
of our day.
As we put our trust in the captain of our salvation, Jesus Christ,
follow His footsteps, we cannot but become overcomers. He is able
to deliver all those who trust in Him. The corrupt academic
environment not withstanding, the famine in the land and inflation
not withstanding, the pervasiveness in the social media not
withstanding victory is sure because we do all things through Christ
who strengthens us.

This is why you are here. Make the best. opportunities available to
you at this conference

If you want to join the trail and army of overcomer rise as we pray.
Welcome to Overcomers Team

I warmly welcome you into our annual Acada for Christ Conference.
Jesus our Captain is in the ship with us, regardless of the turbulence
occasioned by the uncertain circumstances in our family,
compromises in the church, unethical practices in school and
decadence in our nation. We have the confidence that Jesus is at
the helm of our affairs. He is piloting the journey of our faith and we
cannot have a shipwreck. Our God is ever faithful and ever sure. He
is the same yesterday, today and forever.
The theme of our conference in this Year 2024 is Daniel an
Overcomer. Yes, Daniel overcame all the battles that confronted
him for one major reason: He knew His God (Dan. 11:32). That is
great! I believe strongly that you are here to write and re-write your
own history to replicate that of Daniel. I therefore, congratulate you
for availing yourself the opportunity of being here and being part of
this history making epoch. You can and you are going to win big
and do exploit as you focus on Jesus by the help of His Spirit to
unravel the mysteries surrounding the victory and success of Daniel.
May I sound this note of caution that you are not just here to fill
your head with knowledge of Bible stories, but to have a definite,
life changing and unprecedented encounter that will make people
to tag you Blessed and Overcomer. Hence, I charge you to focus on
Jesus our Lord as He leads while we follow.
The Lord has prepared His anointed men and women to impact us,
as we unfold the life of Daniel in practical terms. Daniel was
excellent, you shall; he was purposeful, you can; He was a man of
prayer, you can be; he was a conqueror over sin, Satan and self. You
can also be as you pay attention and embrace the principles that
towered him above his peers and conspirators. Avoid distractions,
discouragements, doubts and all sorts of hindrances. You are the
next person destined for lifting.
As we walk through the Bible, the undiluted word of Truth, in the
next two days, we shall be numbered among the company of
Daniel, an overcomer in Jesus’ Name.

Daniel 6:1-10; 23-28, Pr. 20:6-7
PREAMBLE
Faithfulness is one of the characters of God, our Father. This He
expects in His children. The world may be full of corruption, there
are still few people that are faithful in previous generations and the
present one. Joseph and Daniel were found faithful in their
generations. It is my heart cry that God will raise among us men
and women who will resemble Him. For such, rewards are waiting
for them from this faithful God.

WHY IS GOD LOOKING FOR FAITHFUL MEN?

a) Because He is faithful. 2Tim.2.13 - If we believe not, yet he abideth
faithful: he cannot deny ( disown)himself.
Heb.10.23 - Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without
wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
b) He needs people who will represent Him here on earth. His
ambassadors.
c) It is the requirements for stewards. 1 Corinthians 4:2.Moreover, it is
[essentially] required of stewards that a man should be found
faithful [proving himself worthy of trust]. AMP
- You are a stewards of your life, you are given
- You are a stewards of your body, it is supposed to be the temple
of God 1 Co. 6.19 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the
very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you
have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,
- You are a steward of your time and talents , you are borrowed
- Stewards of resources and position delivered to your hands.

WHAT DO GOD SEE IN A FAITHFUL MAN

- He can be trusted with physical, human, financial resources. They
don't abuse their position or office nor take advantage of others to
fulfill their lusts. 2Chr.34.8 - Now in the eighteenth year of his reign,
when he had purged the land, and the house, he sent Shaphan the
son of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the governor of the city, and Joah the
son of Joahaz the recorder, to repair the house of the LORD his God.
2Chr.34.9 - And when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they
delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which
the Levites that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of
ManHh..
occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there
any error or fault found in him.

- They keep promises or covenants between themselves and God

and between other men. They are not truce breakers. Their yes is
yes. In business relationship, in marital relationship, they are
keepers of promises, even when it hurts. They speak the truth from
their hearts and not pretentious.

FAITHFULNESS ATTRACTS PERSECUTION

This is the point where many deny Christ today. Few are ready to
suffer for righteousness. This is why we have many compromised
messages and messengers on the pulpit producing canal, friend of
the world-Christians in the market place. The teachings of suffering
and persecution have given way to doctrine of “grace with material
accumulation and love of money”

Note the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ on this Matt.5.10 -

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for
theirs is the kingdom of heaven. --
Matt.5.11 - Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute
you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Matt.5.12 - Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward
in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before
you.

CONSPIRACY AGAINST DANIEL BY HIS COLLEAGUES

- He was hated for his stand in righteousness.
- Law was set against him, a set up , and later thrown to the den of
lions
- Joseph was lied against, embarrassed and thrown into prison .
Gen.39.17 - And she spake unto him according to these words,
saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came
in unto me to mock me:
Gen.39.18 - And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried,
that he left his garment with me, and fled out. -- null
Gen.39.19 - And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of
his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did
thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.
Gen.39.20 - And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the
prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was
there in the prison.
Jesus, though was a Son, learned obedience through what he
suffered. Heb.5.8

REWARDS FOR THE FAITHFUL

- They are honored and promoted by God. Luke.19.17 - And he said
unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful
in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
Matt.24.45 - Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord
hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due
season? -- null
Matt.24.46 - Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh
shall find so doing.
Matt.24.47 - Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over
all his goods.
- Theirs is the kingdom of God
Crown of life is promised those who will be faithful unto death.
Rev.2.10

HOW CAN I BE FOUND FAITHFUL?

- Confess your unfaithfulness to him because he is faithful and just
to forgive.
- Make commitment like Daniel, never to misrepresent Christ by
defining yourself with pleasures of sin for a season, asking for His
grace
- It is not by power or personal effort
Engage Jesus Christ and Summit to Him who is able to give you His
Divine nature. He wants to live through you.
- You become a partaker of His Divine nature as you trust Him.
- He gives you all that pertain to live and godliness.

Let us pray

Pastor Tope Adeyemo.

CONFERENCE on Saturday, 25 at CACSA Camp Ground (CAC City of
Life), Osogbo, Osun State)
Text: Dan 6: 16-28

Introduction
Our task in this lecture is examine to show a God that is ever faithful
as demonstrated in the life of the biblical Daniel’s life. This
faithfulness of God is what made Daniel an overcomer in a land of
the heathens. The personality of Daniel is a controversial one. While
many considered him to be a Prophet, many do not, because of
certain historical facts. The name Daniel means "God is my judge" or
"judge of God," in Hebrew. The Babylonians wanted to wipe out any
identification with his past, so they renamed him Belteshazzar,
which means "may [god] protect his life." According to Zavada
(2022), Daniel was a young man of Jewish nobility taken into
captivity by Nebuchadnezzar in the third year of Jehoiakim. He was
trained in the king's court and then elevated to a high rank in the
Babylonian and Persian kingdoms. Daniel the prophet was only a
teenager when he was introduced in the Book of Daniel and was an
old man at the close of the book, yet never once in his life did his
faith in God waver. Daniel served as adviser to kings, a government
administrator, and a prophet of God. Daniel's early life is unknown.
His parents are not listed, but the Bible implies he came from a
royal or noble family. It is also noteworthy that a fuller version of the
Book of Daniel is found in the Apocrypha that was removed around
1929.

THE BACKGROUND STORY (Dan 6: 16-28)

*What led to Daniel to being thrown into the Lion’s den? Jealousy,
envy, conspiracy and persecution,
*What led to the persecution? His success; his ardent faith in God;
his refusal to join the unbelievers.
*Note that God did not prevent the evil planned against him, but he
was faithful to deliver him from the mouth of the enemies.
* Note the outcome of God’s faithfulness in the story: (destruction of
the enemies, conversion of the King, decree for the entire kingdom
to worship the God of Daniel, and the prosperity of Daniel (Dan 6:
24-28)
* God expects nothing less from the Christian youths of today.

THE SUPERLATIVES OF DANIEL AS A PROPHET

Daniel was truly a vibrant Prophet. His ministry was generally
revolutionary; his dreams were profound, international and
eschatological; his interpretation of dreams has no compare; his
prayer life was something else; his intercessory prayer was keen; his
boldness was obvious; and yet his enemies were convinced that he
was superior. Some of the facts espoused about Daniel by Kranz
(2016) are paraphrased as follows:

1. Daniel was from David’s royal family. For hundreds of years, a

descendant of David had been on the throne in Jerusalem.—well,
besides one imposter queen (II Kg 11:1–3).

2. Daniel was handsome and sound in knowledge. (Dan 1:4).

3. Daniel was renowned for his wisdom and intelligence .All the
captives must pass a three-year course in Babylonian language and
literature, but Daniel and his friends were found to be 10 times
wiser than all the experienced magicians and enchanters in the
whole kingdom (Dan 1:20). He was described thus: [Daniel] was
found to have insight and intelligence and wisdom like that of the
gods. (Dan 5:11).

4. Daniel’s specialty was dream interpretation and it made him

popular from his youth (Dan 1:17). He was the only person who could
interpret some of the most troubling dreams and visions for
Nebuchadnezzar and his son, Belshazzar (Dan 2:27, 30; 4:4–9; 5:15–
17). But that doesn’t mean Daniel can interpret every dream. Daniel
had trouble interpreting some of his own dreams. When that
happened, he asked one of the people in his dream to interpret for
him (Dan 7:15–16).
5. Daniel’s righteousness was outstanding. Daniel chose not to
defile himself with the King’s delicacies upon his arrival in Babylon -
the food would have rendered him ceremonially unclean according
to the Torah (Dan 1:8). His faithfulness to God earned him another
honourable mention from Prophet Ezekiel. In the 14th chapter of
Ezekiel, God uses Daniel, Noah, and Job as examples of extremely
righteous men (Ez 14:12–23).

6. The Bible gives us zero dirt on Daniel. Abraham had his Hagar
incident; Moses had anger; David committed adultery and murder;
What of Noah and Lot? But Daniel? We have nothing on him. In fact,
when his political opponents tried to indict him, their only option
was to make it illegal to obey God (Dan 6:4-5).

7. Daniel oversaw the pagan magicians of Babylon Daniel was

made the Head of the wise men in Babylon after interpreting
Nebuchadnezzar’s first dream (Dan 2:48; 4:9; 5:11). He oversaw the
people who relied on other gods to enlighten them.

8. Daniel was a government official under four kings. Daniel is made

an officer in Babylon by four kings: Nebuchadnezzar, after Daniel
interprets his dream (2:48); Belshazzar, after Daniel reads the
original “handwriting on the wall” (5:29); Darius the Mede, because
Daniel had an “extraordinary spirit” (Dan 6:1–3); and Cyrus the Persian
(Dan 1:21; 6:28).

9. Daniel was probably in his eighties when he was thrown to the

lions’ den.

10. Daniel was the first to introduce Angels Gabriel and Michael
(Dan 8:15–19; 9:21–27).

I must add that Daniel was a preaching prophet (Dan 4: 27). He was
characteristically bold (Dan 5: 18-23). But he was persecuted too
(Dan 6: 1-16).

DANIEL OVERCOMER’S UNDERPINNING FACTORS

Daniel’s prayers did not become effective by chance; there were
underpinning factors, some of which are
1. Daniel knew His God and knew himself as a covenanted child of God
(Dan 1: 8-9).
2. Daniel always acknowledge God and honoured Him (Dan 2: 19-23)
3. Daniel had an undaunting faith in God (Dan 2: 28)
Righteousness and Self-denial (Dan 1: 5, 8-16; 2: 49; 5: 16-17)
4. Daniel had the right company (Dan 2: 17-18)
5. Anointing (Dan 1: 17-20)
6. Royal Testimonies (Da 4:8–9, 18; 5: 10-12, 13-14)
7. Fasting (Dan 9: 3; 10: 3).

EVIDENCE OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS IN DANIEL’S LIFE

Great dreams and prophecies (Dan 7: 1-14; 8: 1-14; 10: 4-21; 11: 1-45; 12: 1-7).
1. Interpretation of difficult Dreams (Dan 2: 36-45; 4: 19-26; 5: 18-28)
2. Unravelling forgotten dreams (Dan 2: 31-35)
3. Great Miracles (Dan 3: 19-27; 6: 19-24)
4. Ministry spanned the tenures of four Kings: Nebuchadnezzar,
Belshazzar, Darius the Mede, and Cyrus the Persian.
5. Angel Gabriel ministered unto him (Dan 9: 20-23).
6. Prevailed on Prince of Persia (Dan 10: 10-13).
7. Fulfilled Prophecies (Dan 4: 28-33).
8. Pagan Kings believed in Daniel’s God (Dan 2: 47; 6: 25-27; 3: 28-29; 4:
1-3; 34-37; 6: 25-27).
9. Daniel and his Band were respected and promoted by Kings (Dan 2:
46, 48-49; 3: 30; 5: 29)
10. He prospered (Dan 6: 28).
11. Reference was made to his feat in Hebrews’ hall of fame (Heb 11: 33).

CONDITIONS TO ATTRACT GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

There are standing principles that we need to understand if we desire
God’s faithfulness:
1. Faithfulness on your part: (Ps 18:25-26) - With the merciful thou wilt
shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself
upright; with the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the
froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
2. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect
toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from
henceforth thou shalt have wars (II Chr 16: 9).
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God,
which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep
his commandments to a thousand generations; And repayeth them that
hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that
hateth him, he will repay him to his face. Cindy Matson highlighted 10
lessons for us (Deut 7: 9-10).
Separated and Consecrated Life: Be ye not unequally yoked together
with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with
unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And
what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that
believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God
with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will
dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall
be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye
separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will
receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and
daughters, saith the Lord Almighty (II Cor 6: 14-18).
Prayer: Jam 5: 17; Dan 6: 10; Heb 5: efrain:
7
Humility: For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things
have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is
poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word (Is 66: 2).

CONCLUSION
Daniel has become a role model for we contemporary Christian youths.
We must be willing to pay the price as Daniel did in order to attract
God’s faithfulness and to become overcomers in a world that is
becoming antichrist on a daily basis. We should therefore emulate good
qualities of Daniel’s separated life, disciplined life, ardent faith in God,
faithfulness, truth, spirituality, and his effective prayer life. We shall sing
the Daniel’s hymn by Philip Paul Bliss - ‘Dare to be a Daniel’:

Standing by a purpose true,

Heeding God’s command,
Honor them, the faithful few!
All hail to Daniel’s band!

Refrain:
Dare to be a Daniel,
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known.

Many mighty men are lost,

Daring not to stand,
Who for God had been a host
By joining Daniel’s band.

Many giants, great and tall,

Stalking through the land,
Headlong to the earth would fall,
If met by Daniel’s band.

Hold the Gospel banner high!

On to vict’ry grand!
Satan and his hosts defy,
And shout for Daniel’s band.

ALTAR CALLS
*You know you have not been faithful to God…
*You know you have already defiled yourself with the portion of the
king's meat and his wine.
*You know you are under the grip of some demonic forces or strange
spirits…

PRAYERS
*Spirit of the modern age, I bind and cast you out of my life
*The Spirit of God that worketh in Daniel, enter into me!
*The spirit of excellence
*The anointing of the Holy Spirit

TEXT: 2 Peter 3:18
Memory Verse: Galatians 5:22-23: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness
and self-control. Against such there is no law."

INTRODUCTION
In our Christian journey, spiritual maturity is a vital aspect that
reflects our growth in faith and relationship with God. As we strive
to become more like Christ, it is essential to understand the
characteristics of a spiritually mature Christian, the keys to spiritual
growth, and the challenges we may face along the way.
Spiritual maturity is the process of growing in faith, character, and
relationship with God, reflecting the likeness of Christ in our
thoughts, words, and actions. It is important to note that maturity is
developed through process.
Spiritual growth is crucial in the Christian walk. As we grow, our
relationship with God grows deeper, our faith is more strengthened,
and we are more enabled to bear witness to His love and truth in
the world. As we mature spiritually, we become more equipped to
fulfill God's purposes for our lives and reflect His glory to those
around us.

STUDY OUTLINE
1. CHARACTERISTICS OF A SPIRITUALLY MATURE CHRISTIAN
2. KEYS TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH
3. CHALLENGES TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH

CHARACTERISTICS OF A SPIRITUALLY MATURE CHRISTIAN

a. Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23): Reflecting love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-
control.
b. Humility and Servanthood (Philippians 2:3-4): Putting others'
interests above our own and serving with a humble heart.
c. Forgiveness and Reconciliation (Colossians 3:13): Extending
forgiveness and seeking reconciliation in relationships.
d. Obedience and Surrender (Romans 12:1): Presenting our bodies as
living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.
HOW TO GROW SPIRITUALLY
You must first be saved to consider growing into spiritual maturity. If
you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans
10:9.
a. Belong to a church (Ephesians 4:11-15): The local church is designed
to facilitate the spiritual growth of its members. Join a local church
where the word of God is taught accurately.
b. Prayer and meditation on God's Word (Joshua 1:8): Seeking God
through prayer and studying Scripture.
c. Regular fasting and seeking God's face (Matthew 6:16-18): Engaging
in fasting as a spiritual discipline to draw closer to God.
d. Listening to the Holy Spirit (John 16:13): Being attentive to the leading
of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
e. Engaging in worship and praise (Psalm 100:2): Offering heartfelt
worship and praise to God in all circumstances.

3. CHALLENGES TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH.

a. False doctrine (1Timothy 6:20)
b. Distractions and temptations (Colossians 3:2)
c. Misplaced priorities/indifference to the things of God (Matthew 6:33)
d. Ignorance (Hosea 4:6): If you do not understand the essence of
growth, you will not see a need to grow.
e. Sin/Unrepentance (1 John 1:6, Romans 1:21-23)
f. Laziness/Lack of consistency: Spiritual growth is a process that
requires consistently putting in the work. Not having a consistent
devotional life will hinder growth.
g. Depending on your own strength (Philippians 2:13): Determination
and self-sufficiency will only carry you for some time. It won’t take you
far and it most certainly cannot sustain you but those who wait upon
the Lord, he shall renew their strength.

Conclusion:
As we continue our journey towards spiritual maturity, let us be
encouraged to press on in faith, seeking God's guidance, relying on His
strength, and growing in love and unity with fellow believers. May we
embrace the challenges and opportunities for growth as we strive to
reflect the character of Christ in all aspects of our lives.
TEXT: Daniel 6:1-28, Rev 21:3
Memory verse: John 17:22

INTRODUCTION
One of the intentions of God for creating man is constant fellowship.
That man would constantly be in the presence of God, fellowshipping
and communing with God. Then man fell, and chased out of Eden,
the presence of God.
To overcome mans sin and ensure his purpose, God through the
death of Jesus Christ, redeemed us from the curse of the law and
reconciled us to himself (2 Corinthians 5:18). In confessing with our
mouth and believing in our hearts the sacrifice of Jesus we can now
be present with God both here and in eternity. This is the renewal of
our fellowship with Him.

LESSON OUTLINE
The presence of God
A man of His presence
How to carry the presence of God

THE PRESENCE OF GOD

The presence of God is the influence of the person of God upon men,
territories and situations that guarantees excellent results or
possibilities and rest round about. (Dan 6:16 & 22, Matt 8:23 - 26).

A MAN OF HIS PRESENCE

A man of His presence simply defined is a man that carries the
presence of God. It can easily be seen in your relationships with other
people. You will find it easier to love people when you carry the
presence of God because God is love (1John 4:8). Another thing to
note about the carriers of God’s presence is that they are set apart.
They do not nor do they need to conform to the ideas and opinions
of the world. (Psalm 4:3). A carrier of the presence of God is always
aware of the activities of God in their vicinity. They know what God is
doing and they contribute to it. They reflect the character of God
even in difficult and trying situations. (Eph 5:1-2, Acts 4:13).
HOW TO CARRY THE PRESENCE OF GOD
* Be born again and live a consecrated life (Joh 1:12,13 3: 17)
* Faithfulness and Righteousness (Gen 17:1, PSA 24:3-4)
* Meditation in the word of God (Luke 4:4)
* Develop a prayer Life with consistency (Luke 4:2, Luke 9:28-29, Dan
6:10).
* Holiness (Titus 2:11 - 14).
* True obedience (John 15:7)
* Brokenness (1 Cor 15:30 - 31, 2 Cor 4:2 - 11).
* Temporary death to oneself (Luke 9:23 -25, Luke 9:3).
* Living a sacrificial life (John 15:4, Luke 14:33)

CONCLUSION
God is raising a generation that will carry his presence. One cannot
continue in sins and expect God's presence, God forbid. In everywhere,
anywhere we find ourselves, it should be for God to be known and
seen. If our life is not drawing people to Christ, we are not yet living, we
simply are existing (Hebrews 12:14). We can only say we are living for
Christ when we intentionally start to make sure our life glorifies God
and draws men to him.
In the domain where trials rage and storms threaten,
Where shadows linger and uncertainties devour,
There stands a breed, onward in faith, boldly treading,
THE OVERCOMERS, a chosen minority.

Just like Daniel, a name of strength and grace,

An overcomer bold in every place.
Beckoned to rise, with courage led, prevailing over darkness, inspiring all,
In God’s sufficiency, firm we stand tall.

Upon the road of faith, our guiding light,

We stand as beacons, shining bright.
Ascending beyond, where victories expand,
For Love’s the essence, our leading hand.

The purpose clear, path defined,

Victorious spirits, love as God, intimacy in hearts, no fear to find.
With each dawn, a fresh battle comes to view,
But never alone, with His strength true, Jesus freed us.

As Overcomers, our noble vow, with prayers said,

Ever resilient, upholding truth in the chaotic sea, in trials shed.
Fervent hearts aflame, in His triumph, we find breakthroughs,
With steadfast faith and love, His guidance we choose.

Standing unwavering, undeterred, from worldly gain, from fleeting charms,

Gaze upon His eternal arms, heeding the call to arms.
Faith, fueled by love, anchored by steadfast prayer,
We mirror His image, like those rare.

In our resolve, we find strength unyielding,

For we are the warriors, destined for victory,
Bound by a bond unbroken, in unity, we stand,
Through battles fierce, we conquer, hand in hand.

For in the final hour, when all is said and done,

The Conquerors, abiding with Christ, inherit a kingdom divine,
A realm where light unending shone,
Where peace and joy forever intertwine.

Everything desires And lose his throne
Only God does not perspire To the wrangles of fear
They all race for actuality To the end that all save none
All in the constant fear Might worship FEAR all alone
That the pace is close to impossibility All night for dreams he covet
The position of the God that ruleth
So also FEAR
In all its dreadfulness Here he is, in the hallowed presence
Is caught up in the lustfulness, On that fateful day, he came
And the grip of the dazzling fear, He fought so hard
To rear the dread of fear Till he could frame
On all teirs That the streets of heaven
He finally came
Upon all that exists; it evangelizes it's affairsThere he was, to raise his fame
If by hope, it might be, Till all ranks,
By the end, it's dread, In heaven might fall
The riddle of God it might crack
The end that God, even God Aptly it was,
May finally cheer in fear The sight that hello-ed his presence
"All eyes on him" it was
Frantic was the race, A sight of war
that bade it's face, All against the foe
But such desire of course The host of heaven gave
Is soon to crash in course
Since the saddle of its vagary Right at that moment,
Is nothing but a folly-filled foul The billows of their presence
A load of impossibility it is Gave FEAR a present
Until it dawn on FEAR
To nail his goal, That fear that "God will not wink in fear"
He approached the throne, When even the host of heaven
Of the God and king Bade no hear to its bidding
That needs not be enthroned
With all his dreadfulness he came Right at that moment,
Glorified by the testimonies It dawned on his eminence,
Of those he had maimed The sound
So great was his power Of the song
That the whole of creation, Of the hallowed horns
It was going to dissemble As the Cherubim warns
"NO FEAR IN HEAVEN!!!"
All his weaponry he assembled
In the course to conquer the tempo Aptly it was,
That inhabits God's temple The host of heaven gave a flare
The end that God might fear FEAR Of a bray so rare
So fearful he came again
Each with their sword so sharp The rest of the world
Raised their lap His countenance might fool
To make a bark so loud. But the treat of his defeat,
He kept a secret.
It was a dreadful day for FEAR
The day when fear If only all would see
Mauled FEAR into fear That so fake is all its spree
And in their presence That FEAR's whole terror
He was ready to shrink to rare Is all still frail
Even if God
So mighty came the pipe, Is all he fears.
Of the voice that broke all rife.
It was the order right from the THRONE Why need tremble,
That bade all strife to postpone And give-in to FEAR in all semble
while to Michael and his angels When FEAR itself,
The pose of FEAR, he must dethrone. Our LORD it fears
Yet the LORD of Heaven,
So swift was the war In you pitched temple
"THE LORD REBUKE THEE!!!"
And then he fell Do not fear FEAR, or be in dread for FEAR
Until the sound of the awe For FEAR; even FEAR is constantly in fear,
Became a haul That you won't fear FEAR
And mauled FEAR to fall Do not fear FEAR, or be in dread for FEAR
Until in heaven, his place was no more. For even FEAR, fears more.

My job requires that I wear a uniform dress at my workplace and a lot of people
can't recognize me except I'm in the uniform dress. They can't remember who
am I or where they've met me before.

Now, this is what I understand from this occurrence. Who men see us as
sometimes, is different from who God sees.

The whole world may see a godly, holy holistic, and fire-branded sister/ brother,
meanwhile, God sees a filthy rag.
God indeed checks the intents of our hearts and not our apparel.

The only form God sees is when we come before him holy and pure.
"Psalms 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in
his holy place? 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not
lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceit fully".
The uniform God recognizes a man in his holiness and purity, anything aside
from this is void before God.

One question we should always ask ourselves is Is my identity before God, the
same as before men? God is a no respecter of persons, it is only an identity he
expects of everyone who is a child of God.

"Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness"

God does not recognize anyone without his identity.

Strive to keep your identity same and right as the one he gives and recognizes.

Daniel had this identity God recognized, even before he got to a strange land.
He didn't take on another identity just to fit in the way and customs of the land.
Daniel was a pure and holy man and didn't defile himself even when he was
given the conditions to do so.

"Dan 1:8a But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself
with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: "

Daniel had an identity that could not be compromised. What's your own
identity?
Your identity is your salvation, holiness and purity.

Daniel, a leader, a true overcomer indeed,
Daniel's legacy lives on, a shining creed.
Daniel was a man born of a woman, just like everyone else. He demonstrated the life of
faith by walking with God and by obeying His will, therefore he became an hero that
generations learn about. All his exploits were a result of his life of faith. Daniel and his
contemporaries, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah are a testament to the power of
unwavering faith and determination. Daniel's life serves as an inspiration to the
Israelites in captivity and the Babylonians alike, showcasing his unrelenting
commitment to God amidst adversity. This article delves into the life of Daniel, an
overcomer, and explores the lessons we can learn from his remarkable journey.

Daniel was born in Jerusalem around 620 BCE (Before Common Era), and a member of
the Jewish nobility. During the Babylonian conquest of Judah, Daniel with other young
men were taken captive and brought to Babylon (Daniel 1:1-6). Despite being in a
foreign land, Daniel remained steadfast in his faith, refusing to compromise his beliefs
even when faced with the temptation of the king's food (Daniel 1:8-16).

Daniel expressed exceptional wisdom, intelligence, and spiritual gifts soon caught the
attention of King Nebuchadnezzar, who appointed him as one of his chief advisors
(Daniel 2:48-49). Daniel's interpretation of the king's dream, which none of the other
wise men could decipher, further solidified his position (Daniel 2:1-47).
Throughout his life, Daniel faced numerous challenges, including the following:
1. The lions' den (Daniel 6): Daniel's refusal to worship the king's idol led to his being
thrown into a den of lions. Miraculously, God sent an angel to shut the lions' mouths,
and Daniel emerged unscathed.
2. The fiery furnace (Daniel 3): Daniel's friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were
thrown into a fiery furnace for refusing to worship the king's idol. God miraculously
delivered them, and they emerged unharmed.

LESSONS FROM DANIEL'S LIFE

Daniel's life teaches us valuable lessons:
1. Unwavering faith: Daniel's commitment to God remained unshaken, even in the face
of adversity.
2. Courage: Daniel displayed remarkable courage in standing up for his beliefs, even
when it meant facing danger.
3. Wisdom: Daniel's wisdom and intelligence were a result of his devotion to God and
his Word.
4. Humility: Despite his high position, Daniel remained humble and acknowledged
God's sovereignty.

Conclusion
Daniel's life serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of unwavering faith,
courage, wisdom, and humility. His legacy continues to inspire generations,
encouraging us to remain steadfast in our beliefs and trust in God's sovereignty. As we
face our own challenges, may we draw strength from Daniel's example and emerge as
overcomers, just as he did.

Written by Ithenumah Timothy

The idea that the Christian life is a battle is explicitly stated in the Bible. J. C. Ryle puts it
like this: “Conversion is not putting a man in an armchair and taking him easily to
heaven. It is the beginning of a mighty conflict in which it costs much to win the
victory.” Also, the apostle Paul’s charge to Timothy (1 Tim. 6:12) serves to drive home the
point even further: “Fight the good fight of faith….” The result of a fight or battle is either
victory for the overcomer or loss for the vanquished. On which of these two sides is the
Christian likely to be (suppose we are making a prediction)? Well, the testimony of God
about His children in this matter is this:
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world… (1 Jhn‬. 5‬:4).‬‬
It is only people who believe that Jesus is the Son of God who can do that. Only they
can win against the wrong ways of this world (1 Jhn. 5‬:5‬Easy English Bible)‬‬

So yes, there is a battle, and yes, we will win that battle!

Will we win because the enemy is not putting up a good enough fight? Oh, no! That’s
not the case. He prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking to devour the saints (1 Pet.
5:8); he incessantly demands to sift Christians like wheat to cause their faith to fail (Lk.
22:31-32); he has in his arsenal dangerous tools and cunning strategies by which he
seeks to gain an advantage over Christians. Truth be told, the adversary against which
we battle is no mean foe.

How Are We So Assured of Victory?

It is because our victory was won by our redeemer and saviour on our behalf. Jesus
Christ, by His vicarious sacrifice, conquered the enemy (Col. 2:15) and broke his power.
Because He died as our substitute (and rose triumphantly), what He won is ours. The
logic in Romans 6 is that “if we have been united with Him in a death like His, we shall
certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His” (v. 5). His resurrection was a
triumphant one, so we who share in the likeness of His resurrection share of the same
victory—a victory that overcomes the world.

A Life of Restful Battle

It has been established that the Christian life is a life of conflict, but this battle is fought
from rest. God has raised us to sit together with Christ in heavenly places far above the
greatest opposition we could face (Eph. 2:6, 1:20-21). It is from this seated position the
battle is fought. Hence, the Christian fights, not by his ability, but by the exceedingly
great power of God at work in him.
So we see why we call this a restful battle. No effort is exerted on our part (and thank
God it is so because we are weak and unfit). All our striving is done by Christ’s grace
(enabling power) and on His merit (on account of His righteousness). We are only
“strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Eph. 6:10 NKJV).

“For our part, we need not struggle to occupy ground that is already ours. In Christ we
are conquerors—nay, “more than conquerors” (Rom. 8:37). In Him, therefore, we stand.
Thus, today we do not fight for victory; we fight from victory. We do not fight in order to
win, but because in Christ we have already won. Overcomers are those who rest in the
victory already given to them by their God.”
(Excerpt from Sit, Walk, Stand: The Process of Christian Maturity, Watchman Nee)

Faith is the Victory

The very fact that our battle is a restful one indicates that the means through which the
victory is expressed is faith. Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world (1 Jhn. 5:4).
Yes, that faith through which we were saved (Eph. 2:8).

Probably the most plain definition of faith is found in Hebrews 11:1—It is the substance of
things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (KJV). Consider how it is rendered in
the Common English Bible (CEB) renders it: Faith is the reality of what we hope for, the
proof of what we don’t see.

Another profound statement of faith is found in Romans 8:32

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with
him graciously give us all things?

If at great cost, God freely and heartily (for it pleased the Father to do this) gave up His
Son for our good, shall He not also surely see to it that we come out on top over any
challenge that seeks to crush us in this life? God has already given us the greatest gift
there is. Therefore, He will not withhold any good thing from us (Ps. 84:11).

Are you faced with difficulties that seem to negate your status as an overcomer?
Remember Christ’s all-encompassing sacrifice for you and rise in faith to take your
stand against the adversary and affirm your victory. Even when triumph is not in sight,
remember that faith is the evidence of things not seen. Unlikely as your chances of
victory are, your faith gives substance to all that God is for you in Christ Jesus.

How Faith Comes

One might ask, “From whence cometh this faith? How does a person get it and apply it?
I’ll simply point you to Romans 10:17

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

(NKJV)

The word of God is the equipment of faith. The Christian that will indeed live like an
overcomer will love and cherish God’s word. Like the man described in Psalm 1, his
delight will be set on the law of the Lord, and on this law will he meditate day and
night (v. 2).

What is the end of such a person? The next verse of that Psalm tells us:

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf
does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers (v. 3).

This man will prosper in all his ways and overcome dry and trying seasons of life. This
man will be full of faith and will be immune to the sting of the enemy’s fiery darts (Eph.
6:16). This man will ward the enemy off at every attack with the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God (Eph. 6:17).
Wielding the Sword by Prayer
And how is the sword of the Spirit wielded? It is by prayer! Notice the sentence
construction in Ephesians 6:17-18:

...Take...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the
Spirit, with all prayer and supplication…

Take the sword of the Spirit, praying…

You take the word of God (which is the sword of the Spirit) and use it in your attack
against the adversary by praying at all times (with the word) in the Spirit. We conclude
from this that the life of the overcomer is a life characterised by prayer. Do we mean
infrequent and mood-dictated praying? Not at all. Praying at all times is the divine
instruction. It is continuous prayer; it is watchful prayer (Col. 4:2, 1 Pet. 4:7); it is fervent
prayer (Jas. 5:16).

Seeing then that we have all we need for a life of triumph and that the Lord through
His Holy Spirit has given us and keeps outfitting us for all that we need for a victorious
life, we must awake to our reality of victory and walk, according to God’s design, as
overcomers.

Standard Version (ESV) of the Holy Bible.
1. Ho, my comrades! see the signal
Waving in the sky!
Reinforcements now appearing,
Victory is nigh!

"Hold the fort, for I am coming!"

Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to heaven,
"By Thy grace we will!"

2. See the mighty host advancing,

Satan leading on:
Mighty men around us falling,
Courage almost gone!

3. See the glorious banner waving!

Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader's name we'll triumph
Over every foe!

4. Fierce and long the battle rages,

But our help is near:"
Onward comes our great Com mander,
Cheer, my comrades, cheer!

Amen.
1. Trust on, trust on, believer!
Though long the conflict be,
Thou yet shall prove victorious;
Thy God shall fight for thee.

Trust on! Trust on!

Though dark the night and drear,
Trust on! Trust on!
The morning dawn is near.

2. Trust on! the danger presses,

Temptation strong is near,
Over life's dangerous rapids
He shall thy passage steer.

3. The Lord is strong to save us,

He is a faithful Friend;
Trust on, trust on, believer!
Oh, trust Him to the end!

Amen.
1. Will your anchor hold in the storms of life?
When the clouds unfold their wings of strife;
When the strong tides lift and the cables strain,
Will your anchor drift or firm remain?

Chorus:
We have an anchor that keeps the soul
Steadfast and sure while the billows roll:
Fasten'd to the Rock which cannot move,
Grounded firm and deep in the
Saviour's love.

2. It is safely moored, t'will the storm withstand

For 'tis well secured by the Saviour's hand
And the cables passed from His heart to mine
Can defy the blast, through strength divine.

3. It will firmly hold in the straits of fear,

When the breakers have told the reef is near,
Though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow
Not an angry wave shall our bark o'erflow

4. It will surely hold in the floods of death,

When the waters cold, chill our latest breath
On the rising tide it can never fail,
While our hopes abide within the veil!

5. When our eyes behold, through the gathering night

The city of gold, our habour bright,
We shall anchor fast by the heavenly shore,
With the storms all past for ever more

Amen.

Over yonder He the victors palm shall bear,
And a robe of white, and golden crown shall wear.
