1. Câu điều kiện loại 1 (Type 1)

a. Câu điều kiện loại 1: còn được gọi là câu điều kiện có thực ở hiện tại. Diễn tả sự
việc có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai.
b. Cấu trúc – Công thức
If + S + V (hiện tại), S + will + V (nguyên mẫu)
Eg :- If you come into my garden, my dog will bite you.
- If it is sunny, I will go fishing. -If you study hard, you’ll pass the exam.
Lưu ý: Những từ dùng trong câu điều kiện loại 1 thay thế cho IF: Providing (that)
Provided (that), As long as, So long as
Eg: Provided we go at once, we will come in time
2. Câu điều kiện loại 2 (Type 2)
a. Câu điều kiện loại 2: còn được gọi là câu điều kiện không có thực ở hiện tại. Điều kiện
không thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai. Ý nghĩa của câu điều kiện loại 2 chỉ là một giả
thiết, một ước muốn trái ngược với thực trạng hiện tại.
b. Cấu trúc
If + S + V (quá khứ), S + would + V (nguyên mẫu)
 Riêng động từ “to be” thì dùng “were” cho tất cả các ngôi.
Eg: - If I were a bird, I would be very happy.
- If I had a million USD, I would buy that car - If you studied hard, you would pass the exam.
