Principle Package RG. SIMBULAN AND PARTNERS SC PM: ART JEHRALD A. CHICO
Contractor: CORP.

On Site Supervisor or Foreman Responsible: KEVIN B. MANLAPAZ

Date: 05 FEBRUARY 2020 Method Statement No: 500_CRK_MS_CD_PJW_0007_1

SCOPE OF WORK

 OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this construction method statement is outline and describe in the sequence of works in detail, to
be strictly executed and complied by all concerned contractors to ensure complete, safe, and quality
implementation from preparation up to completion of epoxy floor coating, and lessen, if not avoid, rendering
rectification works later on.

 MANPOWER
1. Water proofer
2. Labor

 APPLICATION METHOD

A. NIPPON 9200F

1. Surface Preparation
1.1 NIPPON 9200F can be applied directly onto the substrate if the substrate moisture does not exceed
mas. 4% by weight (measured electrically using Tramex CME).
1.2 The surface should have an adhesive pull strength of minimum 1.5N/mm2 or compressive strength of
minimum 25 N/mm2.
1.3 Also, all traces of contaminants such as oils, fats, greases, paint residues, chemicals, algae and laitance
should be removed.
1.4 Cracks and hollow spots must be properly repaired.

2. Application
2.1 NIPPON 9200F is supplied in proportionate quantities in 2-component containers.
2.2 The entire contents of the Component A is mixed and poured into a clean mixing barrel.
2.3 Then empty Component B into the mixing barrel and mix homogenously for at least 2-3 minutes using a
mechanical stirrer.
2.4 The inclusion of air in the stirring process must be avoided.
2.5 The mixture is poured onto the surface in portions and spread with a roller.
2.6 On porous and heavily absorbent concretes a second or third application is advisable

Form No.: TPM_PF_PJW_0111

3. Application Properties
3.1 Mixing Ration (A:B) : 100:90 (by wt)
3.2 Consumption: 0.1-0.2kg/m2 per coat
3.3 Application temperature: 15-3 Degrees Celcius
3.4 Recoat Time: 3 hours
3.5 Walk On Time: 3 hours
3.6 Cleaning Solvent: SA-65 Thinner

4. Overcoating:
4.1 Subsequent finishing or overlayment should be applied once the primer becomes tack-free but before
the primer completely hardens which is about within 2 hours.

B. POLYURETHANE RECOTABLE FINISH

1. Application
1.1 Brush, roller, compressed air spray and airless spray. Preferably use airless spray if a thicker coat is
required in one application. Brush, roller and compressed air spray generally lead to lower film
thickness, so more applications may be required to obtain the recommended thickness per coat.
1.2 In order to ensure maximum adhesion between coats, it is important to observe that, before recoating,
the applied coat is dry and free from any form of contamination. In case it rains or raining is expected,
it is advisable not to do any painting. Painting under relative humidity above 85% will adversely affect
the subsequent performance of the coating. Condensation occurs during or soon after application and
premature early exposure to rain or ponding water could result in color and gloss change.
2. Application Properties
2.1 Drying time (25-30°C): Touch dry: 2hrs
Hard dry: 8hrs
2.2 Recoating time (25-30°C): Minimum of 8hrs
2.3 Curing time (25-30°C): 7 days
2.4 No.of coats: 1-2 coats
2.5 Mixing Ratio: 4 parts by volume of Base to 1 part by volume of Hardener
2.6 Theoretical Coverage: 12.0 m2 per litre per coat

2. PROJECT ORGANIZATION FOR HEALTH & SAFETY

1. Material Handling and Storage

1.1 In the wet state, the specified product is highly inflammable. Protect from extremes of temperature &
store in a cool place. In case of fire, blanket flames with foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemicals.

1.2 Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking.

1.3 Keep container tightly closed and keep out of reach from children.

1.4 Care must be taken when transporting paint. Keep container in a secure upright position.

2. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. Dispose of any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate
Environmental Quality Regulations.

3. Do not breathe vapour/spray. Applying paint to large surface areas under closed environment should use
air supplied breathing equipment. For small areas or short periods, a suitable cartridge mask should be
worn.

3.1 Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, loosen collar and keep patient rested.

3.2 Ingestion: In case of accidental ingestion. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Seek immediate medical
attention.

and gloves. Use a barrier cream.

4.1 Eyes: In the event of accidental splashes, flush eyes with water immediately and obtain medical
advice.
