Guidelines and Instructions Teachers Bárbara Rasse: Sections 1 and 2 Mauricio Gamboa: Section 3 Objectives Students are able to: - create an oral presentation about hobbies or anecdotes. - express ideas in English (A2+ CEFR) with a critical and well-supported point of view that displays the depth of thought and is mindful of the student’s personal learning process. - express preferences and answer questions about the topic. Instructions 1. Prepare an oral presentation about hobbies or anecdotes.
2. Choose only one of the options below. 3. Use the following questions to guide or structure your presentation, depending on the option you chose: Option 1 — Hobbies Option 2 — Anecdotes
What is your favorite hobby? Why? What was the context/situation?
How old were you when you discovered it? When did it happen? How did you discovered you were interested in it? Where were you? Where did it take place? How often do you practice/do it? Who was involved in the story? Is it something you do individually or with other people? Why? Why did you choose to tell this story? Does it have a positive impact on your well-being? How? Guidelines The presentation should be carefully prepared to be 5 minutes long.
Students should be prepared to answer 1 or 2 questions about their topic from the audience. Visual aid to support your presentation is required. You must not read out the whole presentation. Practice your pronunciation, appropriate volume and fluency.
