SCENE: 1
- In the studio (On air)

Ms. Fira (Opening) : Hello, good morning. Welcome to KidsLand News. I'm Annisa Zafira, here bringing
you our main headline for today. As Indonesian Presidential Election are upon us, all three canditates were
invited by Najwa Shihab to discuss and take turns in giving their ideas. Mr Anies Baswedan gave an idea for
equal access of basic facilities, starting from health facilities and education. Mr Ganjar Pranowo started his
idea with the target of achieving a Golden Indonesian Era for the year 2045. Mr Prabowo Subianto gave 17
priority programs. Given these ideas, we would like to see, whether the public is ready for a new president.
We have our team covering the streets today, starting with Ria. Good Morning, Ria.

SCENE : 2
- In Coffee Shop, South Jakarta (Reporting)
Ms. Ria : Allright. Thank you, Fira. Good morning viewers. This is Ria, reporting live in some coffee shop
in Jakarta.

Indonesia, the world’s third-largest democracy, will hold the planet’s biggest one-day election next year.
More than 200 million voters in Indonesia and 1.75 million members of the Indonesian diaspora will go to
the polls on February 14, 2024 to elect the country’s next president and vice president, as well as legislators
and councillors at both national and regional levels.

Younger voters (generation Z and millennials) are often the focus of parties every time an election ap-
proaches. Perhaps because the proportion of younger voters is predicted to approach 60 percent based on sur -
vey from CSIS 2022, and has the potential to determine victory in 2024 Indonesian presidential election.

So, how younger voters will give some impacts in 2024 Indonesian presidential election? We will ask to one
of source person that representative Gen-Z. What’s your name ?

Ms. Tina : Hi I’m Tina .

Ms. Ria : Ok, I am here with Tina. Tina, did you know on February 14 2024 Indonesia will be held Indone -
sian presidential election?

Ms. Tina : I already knew. The 2024 is a political year for us.

Ms. Ria : Alright. If we talk about presidential elections, have you ever watched Narasi from Mata Najwa
that talked about some of the presidential candidates? And what do you think about them?

Ms. Tina : I watched it. It was about a week ago, if I'm not mistaken. There were 3 candidates: Mr. Anies
Baswedan, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, and Mr. Ganjar Pranowo. From my point of view as Gen-Z, these three
candidates have their own plans for Indonesia, but honestly, for me, there's none of the three candidates who
can interest me yet. We'll see later.

Ms. Ria : As Gen-Z, how would you describe your ideal president or the qualifications of a good president?

Ms. Tina : Hmmm, ideal president ?, actually, for me, the standard of a good president is Mr. Joko Widodo.
I hope the next president can continue Mr. Joko Widodo's work. Indonesia has made a lot of progress during
the Joko Widodo era. So, the standout is Mr. Joko Widodo.

Ms. Ria : Based on some issues, some political parties use specific interests, such as music (especially K-
pop music and culture), to get followers from younger voters. Please tell me your opinion about it!

Ms. Tina : Interesting. Lately, this topic is still happening on X or Twitter. I'm a K-pop fan, so I see this
from the two sides between one of the candidates and the idol. I disagree with this kind of way to get follow -
ers, especially from K-pop. In South Korea itself, when the political year is coming, the idol chooses to reject
the offer, and this thing is allowed in another country.

Ms. Ria : Thank you Tina for your time, I’m Ria reported and now back to studio with Fira.

SCENE : 3
- Reporting from Surakarta, Central Java

Ms. Fira : That was the opinion of the youngsters today. Thank you Ria for giving the information. Next we
will move to Dika. Good Morning Dika.

Mr. Dika : Yeah, Good morning Fira. I am in Surakarta, Central Java right now. I am going to ask some
pedestrian here. Excuse me, may I know your name ?

Ms Wara : Hi, I am Wara.

Mr. Dika : Are you ready for election day in 2024 and what do you think about politic in Indonesia espe-
cially in 2024 ?

Ms. Wara : What’s wrong with our politic in 2024 ? I haven’t heard anything ?

Mr. Dika : Well, we will have an election day in 2024 to choose for the next president for Indonesia. So,
Ma’am have you decided, which one you will choose ?

Ms. Wara : Oh... I do not really know about politic.. But for me, The presidential election is important. It
will determine the welfare of Indonesian people. If we have a good President, hopefully we will have better
life . By the way, who are our next Presidential candidates?

Mr Dika : Actually, we have 3 candidates. They are Mr. Ganjar Pranowo, Mr Prabowo Subianto and Mr.
Anies Baswedan. They have their own discussion in Mata Najwa program.

Ms. Wara : I do not really know them, Let me see who will be their partner. I mean their Vice President.

Mr. Dika : If I am not mistaken, you said that you did not recognize them. Do you think you will abstain?

Ms. Wara : Oh no..no..no.. I don’t want to be abstain. Untill now, I am a law- abiding citizen. So i will join
election day in 2024. Now, I may not know them, but I'm sure one of them is the best. There will be many
ways to get to know them.
At least the one that who has similar performance with Mr Jokowi. So we can continue our previous Presi-
dent's program.
Mr. Dika : Thank you Ma’am for your time. I’m Dika reported from Surakarta, and let’s back to the studio
with Fira.

SCENE : 4
- Back to studio

Ms. Fira : Thank you Dika for taking us through that. With a few more months before the election, we can
see there are people who are still unaware of the presidential election. And that was our main headline, this
