    GX-S Sensor Installation Instructions

    Version: 11.0

    Required materials: Required EagleSoft modules: Install on the following computers:


    • EagleSoft Digital Integration • Integrated Digital X-Ray • Any operatory workstation using
    CD the Gendex GX-S Sensor
    • Gendex GX-S sensor
    • GX-S IME box
    • USB Cable
    • Power supply

    1. Install the EagleSoft Digital Integration CD

    2. Under Gendex, click GX-S Sensor

    3. Click Next and the download will begin

    4. Answer Yes

    5. Plug in the sensor, answer Yes to restart, and click on Finish to reboot the computer

    WINDOWS 98 ADD NEW HARDWARE INSTRUCTIONS STEPS 6-20:
    6. The Add New Hardware screen should come up on the reboot

    7. Click Next

    8. Click Next

    9. Click No, I want to select the hardware from a list and then click Next

    10. Choose Universal Serial Bus controllers and click Next

    11. Click Have Disk

    12. Click Browse

    13. On the right hand side, double click on Program Files\Eaglesoft\Shared Files
    14. The file vxusbdrv.inf should come up on the left & be highlighted. Click OK

    15. Click OK

    16. Choose VxUsbDrv.Sys IME control unit for CCD sensor and click Next

    17. Click Next

    18. Click Finish


    19. To verify installation, go to Start\Settings\Control Panel and double click on System

    20. Under the Device Manager tab, click on the plus (+) sign next to Universal Serial Bus controllers and
    VxUsbDrv.Sys IME control unit should be listed

    WINDOWS 2000 ADD NEW HARDWARE INSTRUCTIONS STEPS 21-36:


    21. The Found New Hardware screen should come up on the reboot

    22. Click Next

    23. Leave the radio button at Add/Troubleshoot a device and click Next

    24. After searching for the device, the following screen should appear

    25. Highlight USB Device and click Next

    26. Click Finish and it will take you into the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard

    27. Click Next

    28. Leave the radio button at Search for a suitable driver and click Next

    29. Check Specify a location and click Next

    30. Click on Browse and browse to EagleSoft\Shared Files

    31. Check Install one of the other drivers and click Next

    32. Highlight VixUsbDrv.Sys control unit for CCD sensor and click Next

    33. Click Finish
    34. To verify installation, go to Start\Settings\Control Panel and double click on System
    35. Under the Hardware tab click on the Device Manager button

    36. Under the Device Manager tab, click on the plus (+) sign next to Universal Serial Bus controllers and
    VxUsbDrv.Sys IME control unit should be listed

    WINDOWS XP ADD NEW HARDWARE INSTRUCTIONS STEPS 37-46:
    37. The Add New Hardware screen should come up on the reboot

    38. Choose the radio button for Install from a list or specific location and click Next

    39. Check the box for Include this location in the search and click Browse to browse to EagleSoft\Shared
    Files
    40. Click Next

    41. The above warning may appear. If so, click Continue Anyway

    42. The wizard will setup a system restore point and then install the new driver

    43. Click Finish


    44. To verify installation, go to Start\Settings\Control Panel and double click on System

    46. Under the Device Manager tab, click on the plus (+) sign next to Universal Serial Bus controllers and
    VxUsbDrv.Sys IME control unit should be listed
