 Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT), widely acclaimed
COUNTDOWN by the global automotive fraternity, as a benchmark biennial international
event, organized by ARAI, serves as a forum for exchange of ideas and
BEGINS FOR brainstorming for the automotive industry, with participation of eminent
experts worldwide in various automobile arenas.

SIAT I am delighted to announce forthcoming edition of SIAT, viz. SIAT 2024, the
18th in the series, being organized by ARAI, in association with SAEINDIA and

SAE International (USA), at Pune (India), from 23 – 25 January 2024.

Theme of SIAT 2024 is “Transformation towards Progressive Mobility”.

All the SIAT Symposia in the past have witnessed huge gatherings of
automotive technocrats, paper/keynote presentations, panel discussions
and huge delegate participation, etc., besides participation in the Exposition.
Overall scope of events in the symposia has increased multifold. In order to
cover the ever-widening activities and give equal weightage to the Advanced
Automotive Technologies, the size of the Symposium is being enhanced.

After facing numerous challenges during the Covid Pandemic over last
couple of years, Automotive Industry is recouping to a new normal. “SIAT
2024” will focus on the recent advances in various automotive areas of
Safety, Emissions, Engines, Noise, Electric Mobility, Fuel Cell, Electronics,
Intelligent Transportation, Vehicle Dynamics, Materials, Alternate Fuels as
well as Simulation and Modelling. It will also bring to fore, innovative ideas
and solutions in automotive technologies to meet future challenges. I am
sure, one will find the diverse knowledge sharing event to be stimulating.

SIAT will witness presentation of over 200 technical papers, including

keynotes, on futuristic topics, by the renowned experts world-over. These
papers will be published in the form of Symposium Proceedings. In addition
to the Symposium Proceedings, Technical Reference Bulletin, containing
technical articles, case studies, products / services information, etc. will be
published. The concurrent SIAT EXPO 2024 would offer appropriate platform
for spectrum of worldwide companies to showcase their products /
technologies / innovations / services through various stalls.

Abstracts of papers should reach the Convenor at [email protected] on or before 30 April 2023.
Simultaneously, authors should upload abstracts at http://www.sae.org/events/SIAT2024 under MyTech Zone.
Abstract should be limited to maximum 300 words, emphasizing significance of analytical / experimental study and
originality of contribution with results.

Technical Paper Review Committee (TPRC) will evaluate the abstracts. Draft manuscripts of the selected abstracts
will be invited for evaluation, according to SAE technical paper quality guidelines.

SIAT EXPO 2024

Exposition of automotive technologies / products as well as automotive testing, validation, tools and engineering
services is being organized concurrently.
The exposition will attract automotive OEMs, Tier-I, Tier-II & Tier-Ill suppliers, startups, equipment manufacturers,
CAD / CAM / CAE tool providers, technologists, engineering service providers and Test Agencies, to showcase
their products and service capabilities. It would be open to automotive fraternity and interested individuals,
providing an excellent opportunity for promotion of business, networking and dissemination of information.
SIAT EXPO 2024 layout will be hosted on ARAI & SIAT website by March 2023.
