    Toor pilgrimage

    When I was still in high school, my classmates and I planned activities to go out of town
    before high school ended or graduated, at that time my friends and I thought about inviting our class 1
    friends to go on a pilgrimage to the guardian’s grave in the cities. closest, as we know there are 9
    famous saints on the island of Java, but because we have a minimal budget, we use our class cash to
    go on a pilgrimage, so we only make a pilgrimage at several of the saints’ graves and we only have 1
    day because The teachers are also busy teaching the next day. Due to the fact that we don’t think we
    will have enough cash, my classmates and I have decided that a joint venture is the best option where
    we can pay as much as possible without burdening one of our friends who doesn’t have any extra
    money. we also invited several teachers such as the homeroom teacher, the principal and several
    teachers to take part.

    My friends and I plan to use the bus and to protect the teacher’s privacy, we provide a mini
    bus for transportation. For the rundown we have also prepared it well in advance before we carry out
    this touring pilgrimage activity, such as the travel route, meals, rest and also the time. when we get
    home. We plan to gather at school first then leave at 7 in the morning where we have eaten at home in
    case we don’t get hungry on the trip and we have also prepared drinks and food for the teachers and
    ourselves.

    Because my school is located in Paciran Lamongan which is close to the tomb of Sunan
    Drajat, so for the purpose of this pilgrimage we start from Sunan Drajat, like pilgrimages in general,
    my friends and I read the tahlil then continue with prayer. Once finished we go straight to Sunan
    Gresik and sunan giri because the 2 saint’s tombs are located in the same city, namely the city of
    Gresik, there we do the same thing, read tahlil and prayers then rest for a while to eat then continue
    with midday and asr prayers. When the afternoon starts we continue to Surabaya to go to Sunan
    Ampel’s grave, and continue by waiting for Maghrib to arrive by walking around the grave to buy
    snacks there. When Maghrib arrived, we took a shower and ate then prayed together at the mosque
    then got ready to go home, but before we went home we went to one of the malls in Surabaya to have
    fun and also shop first, we were free to go anywhere until 9 o’clock. we gather on the bus to travel
    home.
