LET'S
ephesusatelier CROCHET!
Slip stitch (sl st): Insert your hook into the designated stitch, yarn over,
and pull through both the stitch and the loop on your hook in one motion.
This creates a short and tight stitch that is often used for joining rounds or
fastening off.
Magic ring: Hold the end of your yarn with your thumb and wrap the yarn
around your fingers to create a loop. Insert your hook into the loop, yarn
over, and pull up a loop. Work the designated number of stitches (such as
single crochet or double crochet) into the ring, then pull the tail to close the
ring tightly. (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8go5fqIvSs)
Single crochet (sc): Insert your crochet hook into the designated stitch,
yarn over, and pull up a loop. Yarn over again and pull through both loops
on the hook. This creates one single crochet stitch.
Double crochet (dc): Yarn over, then insert your hook into the designated
stitch. Yarn over again and pull up a loop. Yarn over once more and pull
through the first two loops on the hook. Yarn over again and pull through
the last two loops on the hook. This creates one double crochet stitch.
Bubble stitch: Insert your hook into the stitch; yarn over and pull up a
loop, but don't complete the stitch. Repeat step 3 several times, pulling up
loops and keeping them on the hook.
Yarn over and pull through
all the loops at once.
Half double crochet (hdc): Yarn over, then insert your hook into the
designated stitch. Yarn over again and pull up a loop. You should now have
three loops on your hook. Yarn over once more and pull through all three
loops on the hook. This creates one half double crochet stitch, which is
taller than a single crochet but shorter than a double crochet.
Treble crochet (trc): To make a treble crochet, you start by inserting the
hook into the stitch and yarn over once. Then, pull through a loop. Next,
yarn over again and pull through the first two loops on the hook. Repeat
this step twice more, yarn over and pull through two loops each time until
only one loop remains on the hook.
Increase: Work two or more stitches into the same stitch to create an
increase. For example, to increase in single crochet, insert your hook into
the stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, and then repeat in the same stitch. This
creates two single crochet stitches in one stitch, resulting in an increase.
Back loop only (BLO): Instead of inserting your hook through both loops of
the stitch, insert it only through the back loop of the stitch, leaving the
front loop untouched. This creates a ribbed or textured effect on the fabric,
and it's commonly used for creating ridges, edges, or other decorative
elements in amigurumi.
Front loop only (FLO): Similar to BLO, but instead of inserting your hook
through both loops of the stitch, insert it only through the front loop of the
stitch, leaving the back loop untouched. This creates a different type of
texture or pattern on the fabric, depending on how it's used in conjunction
with other stitches. FLO can be used to create unique stitch patterns or add
visual interest to amigurumi pieces.

First Leg:
Work around the base chain. 15 62 50 35
Second Leg:
Make the second leg same as the first leg.
But do not cut the yarn.
We will join the two legs together by making 4 chains.
Continue with the blue (15) color yarn;
Align the two legs of the doll. We will perform the joining
process right in the middle of the legs . If the last row of
the second leg (Rnd 28) is not exactly at the center of the
leg, don't hesitate to add or remove a few single crochets.
The important thing is to join the legs in a way that aligns
both legs at their exact center point.
(You can look at the video for joining the arms onto the
body part: https://youtu.be/qD9FnuDJ8Cw )
