QUICKLY BASIC TECHNIQUES...
1
Chain (ch): Yarn over and pull through the loop on your hook to create a
new loop, without working into any existing stitches. Chains are often used
as a foundation for starting a new row or round, creating spaces, or as a
decorative element. They do not add height to the fabric like other stitches.

Slip stitch (sl st): Insert your hook into the designated stitch, yarn over,
and pull through both the stitch and the loop on your hook in one motion.
This creates a short and tight stitch that is often used for joining rounds or
fastening off.

Magic ring: Hold the end of your yarn with your thumb and wrap the yarn
around your fingers to create a loop. Insert your hook into the loop, yarn
over, and pull up a loop. Work the designated number of stitches (such as
single crochet or double crochet) into the ring, then pull the tail to close the
ring tightly. (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8go5fqIvSs)

Single crochet (sc): Insert your crochet hook into the designated stitch,
yarn over, and pull up a loop. Yarn over again and pull through both loops
on the hook. This creates one single crochet stitch.

Double crochet (dc): Yarn over, then insert your hook into the designated
stitch. Yarn over again and pull up a loop. Yarn over once more and pull
through the first two loops on the hook. Yarn over again and pull through
the last two loops on the hook. This creates one double crochet stitch.

Bubble stitch: Insert your hook into the stitch; yarn over and pull up a
loop, but don't complete the stitch. Repeat step 3 several times, pulling up
loops and keeping them on the hook.
Yarn over and pull through
all the loops at once.

©2023, EPHESUSATELIER AMIGURUMI PATTERN

QUICKLY BASIC TECHNIQUES...
2

Half double crochet (hdc): Yarn over, then insert your hook into the
designated stitch. Yarn over again and pull up a loop. You should now have
three loops on your hook. Yarn over once more and pull through all three
loops on the hook. This creates one half double crochet stitch, which is
taller than a single crochet but shorter than a double crochet.

Treble crochet (trc): To make a treble crochet, you start by inserting the
hook into the stitch and yarn over once. Then, pull through a loop. Next,
yarn over again and pull through the first two loops on the hook. Repeat
this step twice more, yarn over and pull through two loops each time until
only one loop remains on the hook.

Increase: Work two or more stitches into the same stitch to create an
increase. For example, to increase in single crochet, insert your hook into
the stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, and then repeat in the same stitch. This
creates two single crochet stitches in one stitch, resulting in an increase.

Decrease: To decrease, work two or more stitches together to create a

decrease in stitch count. For example, to decrease in single crochet, insert
your hook into the first stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, then insert your
hook into the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, and finally, yarn over
and pull through all loops on the hook.

Back loop only (BLO): Instead of inserting your hook through both loops of
the stitch, insert it only through the back loop of the stitch, leaving the
front loop untouched. This creates a ribbed or textured effect on the fabric,
and it's commonly used for creating ridges, edges, or other decorative
elements in amigurumi.

Front loop only (FLO): Similar to BLO, but instead of inserting your hook
through both loops of the stitch, insert it only through the front loop of the
stitch, leaving the back loop untouched. This creates a different type of
texture or pattern on the fabric, depending on how it's used in conjunction
with other stitches. FLO can be used to create unique stitch patterns or add
visual interest to amigurumi pieces.

Second Leg:
Make the second leg same as the first leg.
But do not cut the yarn.
We will join the two legs together by making 4 chains.
Continue with the blue (15) color yarn;

Align the two legs of the doll. We will perform the joining
process right in the middle of the legs . If the last row of
the second leg (Rnd 28) is not exactly at the center of the
leg, don't hesitate to add or remove a few single crochets.
The important thing is to join the legs in a way that aligns
both legs at their exact center point.

Rnd 29: ch 4 , 20 sc (on the leg), 4 sc (on chain), 20 sc (on

the other leg), 4 sc (on the another side of the chain) (48)

Rnd 40: 42 sc (42) + 12 sc to offset (Since we'll be changing
colors here, to ensure that the color change point is not in
the center of the body but on the side, we're adding 12 sc.
If you need to add fewer or more single crochets here
(sometimes stitch count variations or yarn thickness might
cause adjustments based on your tension), don't hesitate.
The important thing is to have the color change point on the
side of the body.

Change yarn to purple (50) color;

Stuff the body part.
Now, we will join the arms onto the body. We need to attach
the arms on either side of the body, aligning them
accordingly (you can refer to the picture).
We will crochet the arm and body together with 3 sc.

Now, align the back sides of the piece by bringing them

pieces by stitching through the outer loops.

For the bag's handle, I opted for a piece of white yarn. I

attached the white yarn at one edge of the bag, chain 36 ,
and secured it on the other side of the bag with a slip stitch
as shown in the picture. I cut and hid the ends of the yarn.
