THE DECLARATION OF OUR FAITH

Text:
"Put Me in remembrance: let us plead together: Declare you, that you may
be justified. Your fathers have sinned, and your teachers have transgressed
Me" (Isaiah 43:26-27).”

Introduction:
Many people in the world are determined to worship God in truth and in spirit
but the major problem is finding the right channel to the God of the Bible in
order to render our worship to Him alone, in truth and in spirit. To resolve this,
we must ultimately look into the nature of God, His attributes, and divine
principles, which are recorded in the Torah and given to all humanity as the
blueprint for life, for the verse says: "I gave them My decrees and made
known to them laws, for the man who obeys them will live by them" (Ezekiel
20:11- NLT). Nehemiah testified and said: "You came down also upon mount
Sinai and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and
true laws, good statutes and commandments: And made known unto them
Your holy Sabbath, and commanded them precepts, statutes, and laws, by
the hand of Moses Your servant" (Nehemiah 9:13-14). This is to say that the
God, whom the whole world seeks to worship, came down and told mankind
what He considers as the true system of worship acceptable to Him: For
anything besides what He said becomes to us false worship system. Therefore,
it is upon these principles of our faith that our rule for worship evolved based
on the unadulterated, immutable and eternal laws of God. It is also based on
these facts that we make our declaration eternal in all our generations, just as
the verse says: "As for me, this is My covenant with them, says the Lord; My
spirit that is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall
not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of
the mouth of your seed's seed, says the Lord, from henceforth and
forever"(Isaiah 59:21). Amen.

The declaration of our faith:

The God of the Torah, Who is the Creator of the Universe, introduced Himself,
personally as a jealous God, for the verse says: "You shall not bow down
yourself to them, nor serve them: For I the Lord your God I am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers unto the children, unto the third and fourth
generation of them that hate Me. And showing mercy unto thousands of
them that love Me and keep My commandments" (Exodus 20:5-6). This
means that His name, glory, honour, adoration, service, and worship shall
never, ever be transferable, for the verse says: "I am the Lord: That is My
Name: and My glory will 1 not give to another, neither My praise to graven
images" (Isaiah 42:8). Furthermore, He said: "For My own sake, even for My
own sake, will 1 do it: For how should My Name be polluted? I will not give
My glory unto another" (Isaiah 48:11). That is the nature of the God of
Abraham, Isaac and Israel - the God of the Torah. Amen!
Therefore, when we find Him in such a place or manner, where His accolades
have been transferred to any other being, either in heaven above, or in the
earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth, then, He is not the one
receiving the praise and worship, just as the verse says:
"I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside Me: I girded
you, though you have not known Me; For thus says the Lord that created the
heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He has established
it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and
there is none else" (Isaiah 45:5, 18).
Emphatically, God said that He does not know of any other god, for the verse
says: "Fear you not, neither be afraid: have not I told you from that time, and
has declared it? You are even My witnesses. Is there a God beside Me? Yea,
there is no God; I know not any' (Isaiah 44:8). Therefore, He made us His
witnesses that we may proclaim same to the whole world, for the verse says:
"You are My witnesses, says the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen:
That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me
there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me" (Isaiah 43:10).
Amen!
What are the accolades of God?
Apostle Paul was inspired to say: "In fact, though by this time you ought to be
teachers, you still need someone to teach you the elementary truth of God's
word all over again. You need milk not solid food. Anyone, who lives on milk,
being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching of righteousness. But
solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to
distinguish good from evil' (Hebrews 5:12-14 NIV). Therefore, the accolades of
God need to be distinguished as many of them have been awarded,
unmeritorious, to Jesus and the holy spirit, through the false concept of trinity.
For instance, we erroneously refer to Jesus as the Alpha and Omega, the First
and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the King of Israel, the Redeemer, and
Almighty. These errors come from the King James Version of the Bible, which
usually render the words of Jesus in red, as they wrote in the following verses
of the book of Revelation, creating massive confusion in human understanding
(see Revelation 1:8, 11, 17). When Jesus is referred to as the first and last, the
alpha and omega, and the beginning and the end; one cannot help but ask: "Is
he still the son of God?" If yes, it is impossible for a son to have a male child
before his father. If Jesus is the first, what number shall we assign to his
Father? People, who hold unto this view, simply commit treason against God.
Let us see who actually owns those titles, attributes and accolades, for the
verse says: ' "Thus says the Lord the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the Lord
of hosts; I am the First, and the Last; and beside Me there is no God" (Isaiah
44:6). Furthermore, we read: "Who has wrought and done it, calling the
generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the First and the Last, I am He.
Fear not you Jacob, and you men of Israel: For I will help you, says the Lord,
and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel" (Isaiah 41:4, 14). Therefore, it is
the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel that is your Redeemer, for the verse says:
"Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and He that formed you from the
womb, I am the Lord the Maker of all things; that stretches forth the heavens
alone; that spread abroad the earth by Myself" (Isaiah 44:24). On the subject
of who is the Saviour, the Lord intervened again through His revelation upon
Prophet Isaiah and said unequivocally: "I, even I. am the Lord; and beside Me
there is no Saviour" (Isaiah 43:11). Furthermore, we read: "Verily, You are
God that hide Yourself, o' God of Israel, the Saviour" (Isaiah 45:15). It is
noteworthy to mention that Jesus was sent by God to do His will, for the verse
says: "I came down from heaven, not to do mine will but the will of Him that
sent me" (John 6:38). Furthermore, we read: "I know Him: For I am from Him
and He has sent me" (John 7:29). Jesus, further explained to us, saying: Verily,
verily, I say unto you, the servant is not greater than his master; neither he
that is sent greater than He that sent him" John 13:16). In the face of this fact,
how can anyone then refer to Jesus as "Almighty?" Who is he greater than?
Since he declared himself, saying:
"For my Father is greater than I" (John 14:28). Who is the Lord? Prophet Elijah
settled this case with the prophets of Baal as regards who is the Lord, for the
verse says: "And you shall call on the name of your gods and I will call on the
name of the Lord and the God that answers by fire, let Him be God. And all
the people answered and said it is well spoken" (1" Kings 18:24). Then he
called the strength of God, in the form of fire, to consume the burnt sacrifice,
for the verse says: "And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the
evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said: Lord God of
Abraham, Isaac and of Israel; let it be known this day that You are God in
Israel, and that I am Your servant, and I have done all these according to Your
word. Hear me, O Lord, hear me that this people may know that You are the
Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back again. Then the fire of
the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones,
and the dust and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the
people saw it, they fell on their faces and they said: The Lord, He is the God;
the Lord, He is the God" (1* Kings 18:36- 39). It is beyond imagination that this
sacred title of God. The Lord, is today transferred to the idols of trinity.
However, this was brought to bear upon the people through the confusions
that exist in Christendom, where the sacred title: the Lord, has been allocated
to the gods they created through their concept of trinity, It is noteworthy to
mention that the answer to the question: "Who is the Lord?" can clearly be
seen in the heart of the Law, for the verse says: "And God spoke all these
words saying: I am the Lord your God, which have brought you out of the
land of Egypt and out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods
before Me" (Exodus 20:1-3). Furthermore, we read: "I am the Lord: That is My
name: and My glory will 1 not give to another, neither My praise to graven
images" (Isaiah 428). Therefore, it is clear, that Christianity, through their
theological philosophies, ideologies, and vain deceits, which they fashioned
after the rudiments, precepts and traditions of men, brought in their false
belief of three-gods-in-one known as trinity, and allocated to them the
exclusive accolades of God, which is contrary to the commandment of God in
the Torah, which says: "You shall have no other gods beside Me" (Exodus
20:3). Therefore, The Community of HASHEM Worldwide has no other Lord but
the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who said upon Mount Sinai: "I am the
Lord your God." Amen! The bone of contention: The bone of contention is
evident when one compares the worship systems between our Jewish
community and the Christian community. It is very obvious that the Christian
community disregards this unique nature of God founded in His principles, and
attributes His accolades unto Jesus and the holy spirit, an act which is contrary
to the Scripture, particularly, where God states: "Unto you it was shown, that
you might know that the Lord He is God; there is none else beside Him. Know
you therefore this day and consider it in your heart that the Lord He is God in
heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else"
(Deuteronomy 4:35, 39). Moses said to the people: "Unto you it was shown."
This is evidence that why others only heard, our ancestors saw, heard, and
experienced the presence of the only One God, just as the verse says: "And He
said unto Moses, come up unto the Lord, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu,
and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship you afar off. And Moses
alone shall come near the Lord: but they shall not come near; neither shall
the people go up with him. And Moses took the book of the covenant, and
read in the audience of the people: and they said, alt that the Lord has said
will we do, and be obedient. Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and
Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel and
there was under His feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as
it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the
children of Israel He laid not His hand: and they saw God, and did eat and
drink" (Exodus 24:1-2, 7, 10-11). Generations later, Nehemiah would testify to
this fact, for the verse says: "You came down also upon mount Sinai and
spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and true
laws, good statutes and commandments: And made known unto them Your
holy Sabbath, and commanded them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the
hand of Moses Your servant" (Nehemiah 9:13-14). Even in the New Testament
era, Stephen the martyr, would also testify to this fact, saying: "This is he, that
was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spoke to him in the
Mount Sinai, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give
unto us" (Acts 7:38). This is why Prophet Isaiah was inspired and he said: "You
are My witnesses, says the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen: That
you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me
there was no god formed, neither shall there be after Me" (Isaiah 43:10).
Therefore, the transference of God's name, glory, titles and attributes,
otherwise known as His accolades, to any other being, is incomprehensible,
absurd and unacceptable in our Jewish faith, because God is the Supreme
Ruler and there is none else besides Him. He is not co-equal with any other
being, for the verse says: “Who has told it from that time? Have not I the
Lord? And there is no God else beside Me; a just God and a Saviour; there is
none beside Me" (Isaiah 45:21). Furthermore, we read: "Thus says the Lord
the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am
the last; and beside Me there is no God: Fear you not, neither be afraid: have
not I told you from that time, and has declared it? You are even My
witnesses. Is there a God beside Me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any"
(Isaiah 44:6,8). On this declaration we stand. Amen! The controversy:
Controversy occurs when the truth is turned upside down. The eternal truth
remains that: "There is only One God and there is none else beside Him' and
unto Him alone shall all praises, adoration and worship be rendered. Baruch
HASHEM! Amen!
However, this eternal truth has been controverted through some of the
writings found in the New Testament of the Bible. For instance, from the book
of Philippians, we read: "At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things
in heaven, things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is lord to the glory of the Father” (Philippians
2:10-11). Jesus, himself, took time to teach us what error is, for he said: "You
do err not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God. Do you not
therefore err because you do not know the scripture neither the power of
God?' (Matthew 22:29; Mark 12:24). The lack of knowledge of the Scripture
has led Christianity to this error, which was brought upon them by translation
of the Bible, as it went from Hebrew, the original text, to Greek, further to
Latin and eventually to English. Going forward, let us compare the above error
found in Philippians 2:10-11 to the following truth from the Scripture, for the
verse says: “I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in
righteousness, and shall not return: That unto Me every knee shall bow and
every tongue shall swear" (Isaiah 45:23). Apostle Paul unequivocally
confirmed this truth to the Romans, when he said: "For it is written, as I live,
says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to
God" (Romans 14:11). Furthermore, we read: “You shall fear the Lord your
God and serve Him, and shall swear by His name" (Deuteronomy 6:13). To
buttress this fact, Apostle Paul put it this way: "For when God made promise
to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He swore by Himself”
(Hebrew 6:13). The truth is evident and it states that unto God every knee
shall bow and every tongue shall swear. This forms the basis of our faith in The
Community of HASHEM Worldwide, as we affirm: "We shall have no other
gods beside Him'. Amen!
What is the name of the Lord God?
Moses was the person, who encountered the Lord at the burning bush (see
Exodus 3) and the Lord sent him on a mission to Pharaoh for the rescue of the
children of Israel. At the end of their conversation, he asked a very vital
question, saying: "Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and say
unto them, the God of your fathers has sent me unto you; and they shall say
to me: What is His name? What shall 1 say unto them? And God said unto
Moses: I AM THAT I AM; and He said: Thus shall you say unto the children of
Israel, I AM has sent me unto you" (Exodus 3:13-14). The God of Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob told Moses that He has a personal name and that His name is: I
AM, in brief. It is noteworthy to mention that the word translated to us in
English, gave us I AM but the original was said to Moses in Hebrew and it is:
YHVH (Yod, Hay, Vav, Hay) in abbreviation. This is the closest we are allowed to
pronounce the holy name of God and it simply spells out the alphabets that
represent the primary name translated as: I AM. This is how He puts it: "Thus
shall you say unto the children of Israel, the God of your fathers, the God of
Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me unto you: This
is My name forever and this is My memorial unto all generations" (Exodus
3:15). Furthermore, He said: "I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto
Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by My name YHVH (Jehovah) was I
not known to them" (Exodus 6:3). The reason why it was rendered as Jehovah
was because of translation, because the letter "J' does not exist in the Hebrew
alphabet, rather, pronounced "Yod" does exist in its place. Hence, the
abbreviation, which would have been, according to translation: JHVH (Jehovah)
is rightly: YHVH - (Yod, Hay, Vav, Hay).
The prohibition:
Even though God told Moses His primary name, He quickly prohibited its
frivolous use, for the verse says: "You shall not use the name of the Lord your
God in vain: For the Lord will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in
vain" (Exodus 20:7). Furthermore, we read: "Neither shall you profane the
name of your God: I am the Lord' (Leviticus 19:12). The name of God is a
definite article and refers to the particular name, which He revealed unto
Moses and at the same time prohibited it's frivolous and unauthorized use.
Sequel to this prohibition, the Lord placed a curse on anyone, who will violate
this law of prohibition regarding His holy name, for the verse says: "If you will
not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that
you may fear this glorious and fearful name: The Lord your God: Then the
Lord will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, even
great plagues, and long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and long
continuance. Moreover, He will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt,
which you were afraid of; and they shall cleave unto you. Also, every
sickness, and every plague which is not written in this book of the Law, them
will the Lord bring upon you, until you are destroyed" (Deuteronomy 28:58-
61). People who argue against this prohibition do so blinding and out of
ignorance by quoting the inspiration of God upon Prophet Isaiah, which states:
"Therefore My people shall know My name" (Isaiah 52:6). Recall that Moses
requested for the name of the Almighty God and He told him. He did so,
because, He wanted to teach the people the name of their Father in heaven
(see Exodus 3:13-14). Therefore, it is the right of a child to know the name of
his father, for the purpose of identity. However, the prohibition still exists that
the child can never, in any circumstance, address his father in his primary
names, rather, may use his accolades as a mark of respect and a great sign of
good training. If understood this way, the inspiration of God upon Prophet
Isaiah does not, in anyway, contradict the Law, as the people shall be taught
the name of their Father but prohibited from its frivolous and unauthorized
use. It is based on this prohibition that the Sages of Israel built fences around
the holy name of God to enable the people avoid the plague of God. They
looked at all the accolades, which are titles and attributes for which our God is
known, such as Tz'vaot, Ts'kenu Elohim, Adonai, El- Elohe-Israel, El-Elyon, El-
Gibor, El-Olam, El-Roi, El-Shaddai, Eloheenu, Hoseenu, El-Yireh, El-
Mekaddishkem, El-Nissi, El-Rohi, El-Ropheka, El-Sabaoth, El-Shalom, El-
Shammah, etc.; and created a compound name: HA'SHEM, which literally
means: The Name and refers to all the names for which our heavenly Father is
known. Therefore, HA'SHEM is an acronym of the Hebrew language, which
meaning can be seen as stated below:

H stands for HAYA meaning Living (to exist)

A - stands for AD'OLAM - meaning Everlasting
SH - stands for SHAMAH - meaning Present
E - stands for ELO'AH - meaning Adorable God
M - stands for MELEK - meaning King

Therefore, whenever you hear THE NAME, which is in the Hebrew language
acronym: HA'SHEM, know that the person is talking about HAYAH, AD'OLAM,
SHAMAH, ELO'AH, MELEK, which means THE LIVING, EVERLASTING, PRESENT,
MOST ADORABLE, KING. Blessed be the name of the Lord. This has become our
anthem in The Community of HASHEM. Amen!
God does things for His name's sake:
One of the major errors of Christianity is that their doctrine teaches that God
does not act except the name of Jesus is invoked and commanded upon Him.
This brought to bear the need for them to end all their prayers: "In the mighty
name of Jesus." This is an error, which stems from two things: Firstly, not
knowing the Scripture and secondly, not knowing the power of God (see
Matthew 22:29; Mark 12:24). God is the Supreme Sovereign and He does
things based on His principles. The principle of God regarding His actions, be it
in answering prayers, forgiving sins, favouring His people, or defending them,
is: "For His name's sake." God taught Moses this everlasting principle, when
he went to plead for the sin of the golden calf, which the children of Israel
committed in the wilderness, just as the verses say: "And Moses returned
unto the Lord, and said: Oh, this people have sinned a great sin and have
made them gods of gold. Yet now, if You will forgive their sins, but if not, blot
me, I pray You, out of the book which You have written. And the Lord said
unto Moses: Whosoever has sinned against Me, him will 1 blot out of My
book" (Exodus 32:31-33). The principle that Moses learned from his
conversation with God on Mount Sinai, is that: God can never be commanded
nor forced into doing anything that is not His will. Later, when Moses had
learned this principle, he rephrased his prayer and said: "Now therefore, I pray
You, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that 1 may
know You, that I may found grace in Your sight, and consider that this nation
is Your people" (Exodus 33:12-13). God does things for His name's sake, or
better still, if it be His will. This is why, Jesus, in teaching them how to pray,
emphasized on the point, saying: "Your will be done on earth as it is in
heaven" (Matthew 6:10). It is noteworthy to mention how Jesus himself
prayed at Gethsemane, for he said: Father, if it be Your will, let this cup
pass". Notice that he ended his prayers by submitting to the will of God,
when he said." what I will but what You will" (Matthew 26:39; Mark 14:35-
36; Luke 22:42). The Community of HASHEM Worldwide adopts the inspiration
of God upon Balaam, which states: "God is not a man, that He should lie;
neither the son or man, that He should repent: Has He said, and shall He not
do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19).
Therefore, our God is sovereign and acts always based on His sovereignty and
for His name's sake. Amen!
How should our prayers be rendered?
Let it be known to all men that our generation was not the first people to pray
to God. The Scripture abounds with prayers said by so many people before us.
For instance, King David was inspired to pray on numerous occasions, and he
said: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lay down in
green pastures: He leads me besides the still waters. He restores my soul: He
leads me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake" (Psalms 23:1-3).
Furthermore, he prayed: "For Your name's sake, O' Lord, pardon my iniquity;
for it is great" (Psalm 25:11). Again, he prayed: "For You are my rock and my
fortress; therefore, for Your name's sake lead me and guide me" (Psalm
31:3). Moreover, he prayed: "Help us, o. God of our salvation, for the glory of
Your name and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for Your name's sake"
(Psalm 79:9). Once again, he prayed: "Nevertheless, He saved them for His
name's sake, that He might make His mighty power to be known" (Psalm
106:8). Moreover, he prayed: "But do You for me, O' God my Lord, for Your
name's sake: because Your mercy is good, deliver You me!" (Psalm 109:21).
Again, he prayed: "Quicken me, O' Lord, for Your name's sake: For Your
righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble" (Psalm 143:11). Amen! The
prophets equally echoed the same principle of God, stating unequivocally that
God acts for His name's sake, for the verses say: "For the Lord will not forsake
His people for His great name's sake: Because it has pleased the Lord to make
you His people" (1st Samuel 12:22). Further to this, we read: "For My name's
sake will I defer My anger, and for My praise will I refrain for you, that I cut
you not off. For My own sake, even for My own sake, will I do it: For how
should My name be polluted? I will not give My glory unto another" (Isaiah
48:9, 11). Again, we read: "Do not abhor us, for Your name's sake. Do not
disgrace the throne of your glory: Remember, break not Your Ccovenant with
us” (Jeremiah 14:21). Moreover, we read: "But for the sake of My name I did
What would keep it from being profaned id the eyes of the nations in whose
sight I had brought them out" (Ezekiel 20:14 NiV). Once again, we read:
"Therefore say unto the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God; I do not this
for your sake, O house of Israel but for My holy name’s sake, which you have
profaned among the heathens, where you went" (Ezekiel 36:22).
Furthermore, the book of the Writings also echoed the same principle during
the dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem, when King Solomon was inspired
and he prayed, for the verse says: "Moreover concerning the stranger, which
is not of Your people Israel, but is come from a far country for Your name's
sake, and Your mighty hand, and Your stretched out arm: If they come and
pray in this house: Then hear You from heaven, even from Your dwelling
place, and do according to all that the stranger calls to You for; that all the
people of the earth may know Your name, and fear You, as do Your people
Israel, and may know that this house, which I have built is called by Your
name" (2nd Chronicles 6:32-33). Recall that this house was a request by King
David, which the Lord God transferred the responsibility to his son, King
Solomon, for the verse says: "Behold, I proposed to build a house unto the
name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spoke unto David my father, saying:
Your son, whom I shall set upon your throne in your room, he shall build a
house unto My name" (1" Kings 5:5). Since the house of HASHEM is built unto
His name, we must be circumspect not to mention the names of any other
gods in His house, just as the verse says: "In all things that I have said unto
you be circumspect: And make no mention of the name of any other gods,
neither let it be heard out of your mouth" (Exodus 23:13). Amen! From the
New Testament, we read about the same principle, for the verses say: "I write
unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name's
sake" (1st John 2:12). Since we know this truth, the truth has set us free from
giving the glory of God unto other gods, for the things He has done for us.
Therefore: "Glory you in His holy name: Let the hearts of them rejoice that
seek the Lord' (1st Chronicles 16:10). Amen! Did God authorize us to call upon
Him through any other name? The answer to this question is capital NO! God
did not create through the Torah nor through the revelation of the prophets,
any other name for mankind to call upon Him. Prophet Jeremiah Was inspired,
and he said: "Thus says the Lord the Maker thereof, the Lord that formed it,
to establish it; the Lord is His Name: Call upon Me, and I will answer you, and
show you great and mighty things, which you do not know" (Jeremiah 33:2-
3). Furthermore, Prophet Joel was inspired, and he said: "And it shall come to
pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered:
For in Mount Zion and Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord had said,
and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call' (Joel 2:32; see Acts 2:21;
Romans 10:13). King David tried this channel of communication with God and
he said: "I love the Lord because He has heard my voice and my supplication.
Because He has inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him as
long as 1 live. Then 1 called upon the name of the Lord; O' Lord, I beseech
You, deliver my soul" (Psalm 116:1-2,4). God commanded His people, saying:
"You shall call upon Me, and go, and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto
you" (Jeremiah 29:12). Therefore, it is only the God of Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob, blessed be His name, that can answer prayers. Amen!
How can we call upon God?
As said earlier, the inspiration of God upon Prophet Jeremiah states: "Thus
says the Lord, call upon Me and I will answer you" (Jeremiah 33:3). The
scripture makes it clear that we have direct access to the Almighty. When we
call on His name, He hears us. We can bring our supplication directly to God by
acknowledging His supremacy and humbly asking for His will to be done. Since
we know the Scripture, let us not be deceived by the errors and
mistranslations. God alone is Lord, and He alone is worthy of all praises,
honour, and glory. Amen! Based on this inspiration, Jesus taught his followers
how to pray, for he said: "After this manner therefore pray you; "Our Father
which art in heaven hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive
us our debt, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but
deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen!" (Matthew 6:9-13). It is noteworthy to mention that Jesus is
not the Father, just as the verse says: "Jesus said unto her, touch me not: for I
am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto
them, I ascend unto mv Father, and your rather, and to my God, and your
God” (John 20:17). Therefore, Jesus taught us to pray to the Father and our
God, who is equally his Father and his God. Hence, prayers and supplications
shall not be made to and through any other being, except to the Father in
heaven, who is our God. Moreover, this form of prayer has been the way the
God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has been called upon throughout the ages.
Our forefathers and the sages have from old prayed in like manner, offering
their prayers in total submission to God. This acknowledges the fact that God's
supremacy and holy name will be recognized eternally by all mankind. Our
Sages further acknowledges that this asserts our faith in the ultimate dominion
of God, as we daily affirm this prayer, originally known as the KADDISH, which
was later taught by Jesus as the Lord's prayer in reference to God Almighty,
who actually is the Lord. As we pray, we speak to God directly as our Father
and we conclude our conversations with Him with the sacred word, "Selah:
Amen" which both words originate from the root word Emunah, as the
ultimate expression of submission of one's will by faith to God and it
translates: "It is settled: So be it". On this platform, one submits his
supplication to God in the manner, which states: "Father, if it be Your will' and
concludes with: "Father, Your will, settles my plea", which in contemporary
sense translates to: “Your will be done, O' Lord!" Amen!
Conclusion:
David advised saying: "And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your
father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for
HASHEM searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the
thoughts; if you seek Him, He will be found of you; but if you forsake Him, He
will cast you off forever" (1 Chronicles 28:9). The purpose of his advice
emphasizes the need for one to search for the knowledge of the God of his
fathers. After heeding to the advice of David, his father, Solomon found out
that God is unchangeable, when it comes to the covenant He has made, for the
verse says: "O God of Israel, there is no God like You in the heaven, nor in the
earth; which keeps covenant, and shows mercy unto Your servants, that walk
before You with all their hearts" (see 2nd Chronicles 6:14). The word
"covenant" refers to every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, just
as the verse says: "And the Lord said unto Moses, write down these words:
For after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with you and with
Israel' (Exodus 34:27). Therefore, whatever God says, He keeps in all
generations. No word of God shall return to Him unfulfilled (see Isaiah 55:11).
It is through His words, which He has graciously granted unto us in the Torah
that we can know Him and cleanse our ways by taking heed unto every word,
which proceeded out of His mouth that we may live: (see Deuteronomy 8:3;
Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4). For the word of God is our life. Amen
Let us pray:
"Blessed are You, O' Lord; teach me Your statutes. With my lips I declare all the
judgments of Your mouth" (Psalm 119:12-13).
1. I firmly believe that the Creator, blessed be His name, is the Creator and
Ruler of all created beings, and that He alone has made, does make, and
ever will make all things. Amen!
2. I firmly believe that the Creator, blessed be His name, is one; that there
is no oneness in any form like His; and that He alone was, is, and ever
will be our God. Amen!
3. I firmly believe that the Creator, blessed be His name, is not corporeal,
that no bodily accidents apply to Him; and that there exists nothing
whatever that resembles Him. Amen!
4. I firmly believe that the Creator, blessed be His name, was the first and
will be the last. Amen!
5. I firmly believe that the Creator, blessed be His name, is the only one to
whom it is proper to address our prayers, and that we must not pray to
anyone else. Amen!
6. I firmly believe that all the words of the prophets are true. Amen!
7. I firmly believe that the prophecy of Moses our teacher, may he rest in
peace, was true; and that he was the chief of the prophets, both of
those who preceded and of those that followed him. Amen!
8. I firmly believe that the whole Torah which we now possess is the same
which was given to Moses our teacher, may he rest in peace. Amen!
9. I firmly believe that this Torah will not be changed, and that there will be
no other Torah given by the Creator, blessed be His name. Amen!
10.I firmly believe that the Creator, blessed be His name, knows all the
actions and thoughts of human beings, as it is written: "It is He who
fashions the hearts of them all, He who notes all their deeds." Amen!
11.I firmly believe that the Creator, blessed be His name, rewards those
who keep His commands, and punishes those who transgress His
commands. Amen!
12.I firmly believe in the coming of Messiah; and although he may tarry, I
daily wait for his coming. Amen!

13.I firmly believe that there will be a revival of the dead at a time which
will please the Creator, blessed and exalted be His name forever and
ever. Amen!
May it be Your will, our dear Father in heaven, to write Your words upon our
hearts and enable us to do them for our own good, now, and forever more.
Amen!

OUR SONG OF ALLEGIANCE

Faith of our fathers, living still,

In spite of dungeon, fire and sword,
O how our hearts beat high with joy,
When'er we hear that glorious word.

Chorus:
Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death.
Our fathers, chained in prison's dark,
Were still in heart and conscience free;
How sweet would be their children's fate,
If they, like them, could die for thee.

Chorus:
Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death.
Faith of our fathers' we'll love
Both friend and foe in all our strife,
And preach thee; too, as love knows how,
By kindly words and virtuous life.

Chorus:
Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death.
Faith of our fathers, living still
In spite of dungeon, fire and sword
O how our hearts beat high with joy
When'er we hear that glorious word.

Chorus:
Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death.
Closing chorus:
Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be tr-ue,
We will be tr-ue,
We will be true to thee till death!
