Self-confidence is the belief in one's own abilities, qualities, and judgments.

involves having a positive perception of oneself and a sense of competence in
various areas of life

It is the trust or faith in oneself and one's abilities. It involves feeling assured and
capable in various situations.

When is your Confidence Level Low?

 When you are behaving or acting based on what others think

 Comparison with Others: Constantly comparing oneself to others and feeling
inferior or inadequate as a result.
 Negative Body Image: Experiencing dissatisfaction or discomfort with one's
physical appearance. Engaging in behaviors such as excessive dieting,
exercise, or grooming to try to meet unrealistic beauty standards.
 Hiding your mistakes and trying to fix them before anyone notices
 Avoidance of Compliments: Dismissing compliments offhandedly “Oh, it was
nothing really, anyone could have done it.
 Avoidance of Risks: Avoiding taking risks or pursuing goals and aspirations
due to fear of failure or rejection. Preferring to play it safe rather than
venture into the unknown.

praise from others in order to feel good about yourself.

There are many things you can do to build your confidence. Some of these tips
include:

 Identify your strengths and weaknesses. Everyone has strengths and

weaknesses. Once you know what your strengths are, you can focus on
developing them further. You can also learn to accept your weaknesses and
work around them.
 Set realistic goals. When you achieve your goals, it will boost your
confidence. Start with small goals that you are confident you can achieve,
and then gradually work your way up to larger goals.

 Take risks. Stepping outside of your comfort zone can be scary, but it is
also a great way to build your confidence. When you take risks and
succeed, it will show you that you are capable of more than you thought
possible.

 Practice positive self-talk. The way you talk to yourself has a big impact
on your confidence. When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts,
challenge them and replace them with positive ones.

 Surround yourself with positive people. The people you spend time with
can have a big impact on your confidence. Make sure you surround
yourself with people who believe in you and who support your goals.
Positive social support can boost confidence and provide valuable
encouragement.

 Keep Learning and Growing: Continuously seek opportunities for learning

and personal development. Acquiring new skills and knowledge enhances
confidence and adaptability.

 Focus on the Present Moment: Avoid dwelling on past mistakes or

worrying excessively about the future. Practice mindfulness and focus on
the present moment to cultivate a sense of calm and confidence.

 Take care of yourself. When you take care of your physical and mental
health, you will feel better about yourself and your abilities. Make sure you
are getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and exercising regularly

Building confidence is an ongoing process. There will be times when you feel
confident and times when you don't. The important thing is to keep working at it.
The more you practice, the easier it will become to feel confident in yourself.
Remember, you are not alone. Everyone struggles with confidence issues at some
point in their lives. With hard work and dedication, you can build the confidence
you need to live a happy and fulfilling life.
