Contents
1.1 - All serving officers within the San Andreas Police Force will remain professional,
respectful and courteous at all times, this includes following all policies listed in the
induction manuals.
1.3 - Officers must not intentionally cause undue bodily harm to those in custody.
1.6 - Police Officers are not permitted to store any SAPF equipment or contraband
in their personal storage. All evidence must be returned to the evidence locker.
1.7 - Police Officers are not permitted to trade / sell / donate any SAPF equipment or
contraband. All evidence must be returned to the evidence locker.
2.1 - Officers must use vehicles outlined to their rank, exceptions to this may be
when;
a) Given authorisation by Command+
b) One officer outranks the other; that officer may drive the senior officer’s
vehicle;
c) The officer is attending a 10-99;
d) The vehicle is abandoned and the officer is transporting it back to the
nearest Police Department.
2.2 - Officers have the authority to initiate a pursuit provided the pursuit does not
compromise the health of any civilians that aren’t involved.
2.4 - The primary or secondary unit is entitled to provide radio callouts and must
have their lights and sirens active throughout the duration of the pursuit.
2.5 - If the target vehicle is driving recklessly and/or attempting to injure officers
and their vehicles, officers may seek permission from the current commanding
officer to use offensive pursuit tactics such as spike strips or PIT maneuvers. If no
supervisors (Sergeant +) are available, one or more of the following grounds must
be met;
a) The active pursuit has surpassed 5 minutes
b) The active target vehicle has struck a member of the public
2.6 - Officers responding to calls exceeding the legal speed limit must activate their
sirens and/or lights.
2.7 - Police vehicles are not to be abandoned, left unlocked or provided accessible
by members of the public.
2.8 - Officers are permitted to impound any abandoned vehicles that are
trespassing or impeding traffic.
2.9 - Officers must not garage their vehicles and attain a new vehicle to avoid
repairs by the mechanic, Due to SAPF Budgets.
2.10 - Officers are not to strike a fleeing suspect with a vehicle intentionally.
Exceptions are permitted when the suspect poses an immediate threat to an
officer and/or a member of the public.
2.11 - SAPF Vehicles must not exceed 3 officers while on duty, exceptions may be
permitted when one of the following apply
a. There is a 10-99 situation;
b. The officers are transporting another officer to the nearest garage
3.1 - Officers must not carry firearms they have not qualified for.
3.2 - Officers must not give any police firearms, equipment or evidence out to
members of the public.
3.3 - Officers are permitted to utilize non-lethal equipment under the following
grounds:
a) The individual is attempting to steal PD assets;
b) The individual is discharging firearms in public;
c) The individual is evading police or resisting arrest;
d) The individual has the potential to cause harm to another human being;
e) The individual is trespassing on public property and refusing to cooperate
with police orders.
3.4 - Officers are permitted to discharge their lethal weapons under the following
grounds;
a) The individual is brandishing a lethal firearm with intent to harm;
b) The individual has incapacitated/murdered members of the public or police
force;
c) The individual is actively attempting to cause harm to members of the
public or police force
3.5 - Officers are not permitted to disable vehicle tyres unless one or more of the
following grounds have been met;
a) The individual has brandished a lethal firearm with intent to harm;
b) The individual has incapacitated/murdered members of the public or police
force;
c) The individual is actively attempting to cause harm to members of the
public or police force
4.2 - All officers must cease all non-emergency radio traffic when the channel is
called into emergency status (Signal 100).
