DEPLOPMENT

I couldn`t imagine that I was able to be back again to the place where my potentials and capabilities started to
be mold not as student but as a Pre-Service teacher.
Everything was surreal, and every single moment and memories happen to me in this place, it’s flashing back
good or bad.
Meeting a diversity of learners has a great opportunity for me to connect and on how I'm going to establish a
rapport as their teacher. I was able to adjust now since most of my student is likely similar when my
observation with my Field Study.
I’m, hoping that for my stay for at least three months would be memorable and be a great experience as I
continue my journey as a teacher.

WEEK ONE
This teaching internship at Moreno Integrated School has given me significant experience for my growth and
development. But let me share with you my work experience in the first week of my journey.
I arrive at school at exact 8:30o’clock. And it my first time to attend the flag ceremony in the afternoon of MIS.
Additionally, it come to our way of meeting the faculty and staff, sorting and cleaning the rooms where we
staying for the next two months was our task during the week. And also, I was able to meet my cooperating
teacher to get the schedule, learning materials and the list of all my students. After that my cooperating teacher
gives me the opportunity to introduce myself and to know more about my students so that I can establish
rapport and to get their respect at the same time. Since as practice teacher we are the embodiment of different
skills in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy and patience to create engaging
classroom presence, value in real-world learning, exchange of best practices and a lifelong love of learning.
After that, I conduct a pre-assessment to test the level of understand and knowledge of my students with the
subject I browse the learning materials of the subject what I'm teaching so that as early as today I can study it
as I go through when lesson started. By that, I starting doing my lesson plan for the entire week. Since I`m not
good in lesson planning, I approach my CT what to do so that I can master the lesson planning effectively. By
that for the entire week, it such a tiring day but at the same time I feel fulfilled in delivering my 1 whole week
lesson and discussion

WEEK TWO
To be honest for the two weeks of my practice teaching I was about to give up. The daily routine from waking
up early, studying my lessons and writing lesson plans was never been an easy one, But I always reminding
and motivating myself to really go beyond my expectation and what my purpose are.
Every Friday is checking for lesson plan for the entire week My class was 12:30 pm- 1:30 pm. By that I was
able to introduce a new topic. I have 48 students in Math 10 coming from different section, before I enter my
class, I gave each student 5 minutes to fix themselves, since last time, I was waiting for different student to
came because there are some instances that their other subject is overtime. So, I adjust it since I don`t want to
discuss when my students are not complete.
After that I rest though I have ample time to rest before I go to my next class which is the last period of the
afternoon 4:30pm to 5:30pm. The other days was a continuation of my discussion. All things are in the right
place at on my own pace and I’m so happy that I survive for another week, again.

WEEK THREE
The third week, I arrive at school 8:28 am. After cleaning our office, I started to xerox my teaching materials for
today. I xerox it out were my student answer their long quiz. My Grade 10 class has their first quiz under my
supervision. Since this is a announce quiz, I expect that most of them will get a high score.
After my class I rapidly go to the library since all of my co-PST’s were there. We go out of the campus for lunch
since we are eating lunch together. Additionally, my cooperating teacher asked me to watch out all his student
Afterward I started checking the quiz of my students and I was surprised that there are students who get the
perfect score. Then I directly recorded on my class record.
Then next day i was continuing may lesson with my class at the same time I used lecture method, I discussed
them the lesson. I also used games to motivate them. Lecture method is sometimes efficient, it is good way to
easily communicate ideas to students. While flowcharts allow your students to chalk out their ideas and
thoughts.
For three weeks of teaching i came to the realization that students can learn but not the same way. They all
have different skills. Most of the students like games because they have fun and learn at the same time.

WEEK FOUR
The last week pf March. Time flies so far, I could not image that I came along across this kind of experience. I
arrive at school at 8:31 am. My co-PST’s and I decided to help other math PST’s creating tarp-papel were
being used in NAT test for grade 10 students. We take the initiative so that, as we go through at least we do
something good, because our willingness to volunteer.
On the second day, I introduces new lesson in my class which is “Mutually and Not Mutually Exclusive Events”.
On the third day, it was third second quiz. Upon the quiz day, I always printing out the quiz question for them to
easily answer and work on their own paper.
Then, I rest myself to get some energy to my next class. My last class was a grade 10 so upon my discussion I
notice are very active when you combine your teaching with games. They are more actively involved when
educational games are used. Sometimes, it is good if you'll give them time to reflect about the lesson. You
have to let them express their own: thoughts and opinions.

WEEK FIVE April

In the Fifth week of our practice teaching, my cooperating teacher gives us some activity to work on. He gave
us topics to make a lesson plan. I also help my cooperating teacher in checking all student's activity according
to the class section that I`m handling.
On the other day, the school was conducting the midyear assessment. After my class I started checking their
papers and after I reported my cooperating teacher.
There are some areas I need to work on that I have identified at this early stage. I should not be nervous
about making clear rules to the kids. If we are all on the same page then there will be no confusion. By this I
mean having a uniform policy about cell phones for example. I should not also be timid to speak up about
inappropriate behavior. As the day wore on during Thursday, I became more comfortable in this role. I'm glad
that even at this early stage I can reflect on and identify areas can improve on.
I am looking forward to the coming weeks. I feel this first four weeks is helping me to lay a good foundation for
the weeks to come.
WEEKSIX
I have been in the classroom by myself this week It actually felt good and helped me grow in confidence in my
classroom management and planning activities. I planned all lessons, agendas, test and homework activities
for the week. I got to know the students a lot better and they are definitely becoming students more at ease
with me. I know who to look out for, and those students who are self-motivated. I am being careful to cultivate
the correct student/teacher relationship. I feel l'm being strict but fair with them and I think this is helping to
provide the correct instructional environment in the classroom. This week was by far the most concentrated
and busy I have had.
I no longer ask myself the question 'will i be able to stand up in front of a classroom and teach without looking
like an idiot' to 'how can ensure that am holding the attention of students at all times with a compelling lesson
without leaving voids.' My mentor teacher has told me I have presence and authority in the classroom. I don't
always feel this, but it is something I am constantly aware of and strive to improve.

WEEK SEVEN
The seventh week was exhausting but it feels fulfilling because all the lesson and activities for the next lesson
are needed to prepare. Upon entering the campus, I fix everything so I need to practice my words and prepare
my learning plan and instructional materials this entire week of teaching. In the beginning I had felt the
pressure but little by little learned to overcome the challenges.
Day after day, it’s a full discussion. I used interactive teaching strategy in which there is an interaction of
student with the teacher. I asked questions to test if the students follow and understand the lesson. Ask
questions which can be relate to their real-life situations.
This week I came to realization and I learn that teaching should be always student centered in able the
students to develop their critical thinking and engage them in analytic discussion. Pictures makes student more
active.
Perhaps, I could not imagine that I know in the middle of practice Teaching I was able to see my progress and
it feels surreal that my transition was at the right time at the right place.

WEEK EIGHT last week of april

Last week of April, this week was a busy week, there are many changes in schedules of classes because of
Heet Index in the Philippines. A lot of interruption of class and holiday. That’s why were adjusting all of our
lesson plan’s that we can fit the lesson in 35 minutes to catch up with the interruptions and holidays that pass
by.
After the interruption and holidays, It go back with normal. All things are ready especially for the checking of my
lesson plan. I admire my CT on how he helps me for the betterment of my lesson plan and in the delivery of my
lesson. I do my lesson plan for a couple days since this week are Lenten Season. So, I start for my discussion
use interactive approach where students have more talk than me. I used pictures in order to show them.

WEEK NINE May

I think this week was a turning point for me. It's difficult for me to pinpoint the precise time when it occurred. l'm
aware that 'm beginning to take a proactive rather than a reactive approach to my daily classroom
responsibilities. I'm adjusting to and feeling more at comfortable with having to balance many various teacher
duties during the day.
On the next day, I was continued my lesson about Measure of position of Quartile and Decile . During my
discussion I let my students be active and not passive. I gave them opportunity to participate in the class to be
more student centered. And by that, I was able also to announce the performance task for the third quarter,
were I assigned them to make a video presentation.
Moreover, on the other day, I notice that my students are busy doing some school works. So, I gave my class
hour to finished all their task, since I know how it feels how hard to face the deadlines.
After that, my 4 to 5 pm class have an activity, I gave them ang long quiz so that they can catch up with the
other section that we are proceeding in new lesson.

WEEK TEN
This was week was a busy one, It’s time for us to prepare our Final Demo teaching. I started doing my final
demo lesson plan, and editing all mu instructional materials. The next day, I printed out all my IM's and starting
doing it on my own. All things are set and I’m ready for my Demo teaching.
The next day, Final Demo Day I feel nervous before I'm nervous before entering campus because I'm
wondering if I can execute correctly? can i do that properly I also asked myself if I was ready for the final demo.
But at the end of the day I also finished the final demo with great feedback/comments. I felt relieved when I
heard that from the cooperating teacher and other teacher who observed my final demo.
The next day was the fourth Periodical Examination, so Im busy printing out the test papers of my students. So
by that I start with my examination hour with providing rules and regulation while taking exam. And after the
test, I immediately check their papers.
After checking all the test papers, the other my class do an item analysis. By that, I gather data with correct
and wrong basis. Item analysis is intended to assess and improve the reliability of your tests. If test reliability is
low, test validity will necessarily also be low. This is the ultimate reason you do item analyses-to improve the
validity of a test by improving its reliability. Thats all I could share for this week
This was week was a busy one, since examination was done. So, it’s time for us to compute for their grades
and do the different paper works to be passed. I was able to compute the achievement rate of class, the item
analysis, and the most learned and least learned in relation to the exam.
