Course Name PE 11 - PATH-FIT 1 (MOVEMENT COMPETENCY TRAINING)


Course Description This course is designed to expose the students to many fitness activities. Through this variety of fitness skills, one will be more
knowledgeable as to process of continued fitness throughout one’s lifetime. The course is also intended to introduce the students to the
method of procedure for teaching fitness, nutritional health, and general wellness principles. Students will complete an assessment
measuring aerobics fitness, strength, flexibility and nutrition.
Contact Hours/Week Theory: 2 units, 2 hours/week – 36 hours
Prerequisite None
Program Outcomes 1. Develop knowledge and skills necessary for the effective performance of students in their chosen field;
2. Promote among students a healthy self–concept, social consciousness and be an exemplary model for the new generation;
3. Instill among students the Christian principles and values to prepare them to become useful members of society;
4. Develop among students proficiency in oral and written communication;
5. Enhance critical and logical thinking;
6. Participate in research–oriented activities; and
7. Instill a sense of national identity, a strong commitment to national, global involvement and human upliftment.
Year Level Outcomes 1. Articulate higher level of comprehension and proficient and effective communication both in Filipino and English discourses for
specific purposes and fields (Purposive Communication and Kontekstwalisadong Filipino)
2. Reflect on one’s capacity to personally interpret human experience and self-assuredness in knowing and being Filipino

3. Demonstrate understanding of basic concepts across the domains of knowledge and develop critical, analytical and creative
thinking (Math in the Modern World)
4. Perform integrated movement core training exercises with stability, strength and power to meet the demands of activities of daily
living sports performance (PE 11-Movement Competency Training)
5. Demonstrate clear understanding of Olivarian philosophy of education, standards and prospects and thereby, contribute to the
realization of its vision by portraying its core values (Olivarian 101 – The Making of Quality Olivarian)
6. Practice the ideals of patriotism, nationalism and advance the involvement in public and civic affairs toward promoting civic
consciousness along aspects of the society (NSTP 11)

Course Intended Learning Outcomes 1. Students can explain objectives of Physical Education, identify the activities of physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of
an individual.
2. Students can perform the different drills and exercises.
3. Students can describe a physically fit person and can appreciate the benefits from being fit.
4. Students can understand the importance of being physically fit person
5. Students can define aerobics and describe its different phases.
6. Students can understand that learning in and through a variety of different contexts, including physical activity and sport and healthy
food production activities, will contribute to my overall health and wellbeing, including physical, social, emotional and psychological
wellbeing.
