• Yarn: **less than one skein of each** Size 4/worsted weight

Tea:
Starting in medium brown:

1. Using medium brown yarn, make a magic ring. Make 3 sc in medium brown & pull the yarn
loop up (see first picture). Attach dark brown yarn in magic ring & make 3 sc in dark brown.
Carefully pull the ring closed – there will be a medium brown tail (from the magic ring) & a dark
brown tail (from the yarn that was attached) (6)

2. Continuing in dark brown: inc, inc. Leave the


third medium brown stitch unworked for now &
pull the dark brown yarn loop up (see picture
below). Working in medium brown: inc, inc, inc.
Pull the medium brown yarn loop up. Working in
dark brown, inc in the last medium brown stitch
from the previous round. (12)

3. Continuing in dark brown: sc, inc, sc, inc, sc.


Leave the last medium brown stitch unworked for
now & pull the dark brown yarn loop up. Working in

ARMS

ASSEMBLY
• Sew the tea to the back loops left over
from round 12 of the tea cup.
The dark brown tail is used to sew the
medium brown stitches to the tea cup &
the medium brown tail is used to sew the
dark brown stitches to the tea cup.
Add stuffing to the teacup as you go.
• Using the tail left on the plate, carefully
sew the plate to the top of the hair piece.
Sew through the first&last round of the
plate to help it sit flatter on the top of the
hair piece & head.
It should sit between rounds 5&6 of the
top of the hair piece.

• Pin the hair to the head.


The bangs should sit between rounds 14&15 of the head.
The back of the hair should sit between rounds 22&23 of the head.

• Sew the hair to the head.
• Pin the ears to the hair piece – they should sit approximately 3 rounds (on the head)
below the bangs.
• Sew the teacup handle to the teacup.
• Sew the pale pink piece of the ear flat along 8 stitches on the hair.
• Sew the light blue piece of the ear along the same stitches that the pale pink stitches
were sewed to.

• Add stuffing to the trunk & pin it to the head. The top of the trunk should sit 4 rounds
below the bottom of the bangs. The trunk should be in line with the middle bang.
• Sew the trunk to the head.
• Cut a dowel approximately 7~ inches long insert one end in the head (in the ring left on
the head where it was fastened off). Leave a few inches of the dowel (2-2.5 inches) to
insert in the body later. Set the head aside for now.

• Using the tail left on the first leg,


carefully sew the gap closed between
the leg & chain on the body.
• Using the tail left at the beginning of
the bottom of the shirt piece, sew the
foundation chain from the bottom of
the shirt to round 18 of the body (the
first round of medium blue).
• Using the tail left at the end of the
bottom of the shirt piece, sew the two
ends of the bottom of the shirt
together.

• Insert the dowel into the top of the
body & sew the body to the head using
the tail left over on the body. Add
stuffing to the top of the body as you
go.

• Pin the arms to the sides of the body & sew them to the body.
• Pin the collar to the last round of the body & sew it to the body.

• Using felt, cut a half circle out


of white for the tummy patch.
Cut a half oval out of blue felt
for the shirt & a smaller half
oval out of white felt for the
center of the shirt.
Cut two small circles out of
black.
• Glue/sew the two small black
circles to the white half oval,
then glue/sew the white half
oval to the larger blue oval.
Attach this piece under the
center of the collar at the front
of the body.
• Glue/sew the tummy patch to the center/front of the body, below the bottom piece of
the shirt.

• Cut two small ovals out of pink for the
cheeks.
Cut two small ovals out of blue for the
irises.
Cut two half ovals out of white for the
eyes.
Cut two half ovals with an “eyelash”
out of black felt for the back piece on
the eyes.
• Glue/sew the white piece to the black
piece, then glue/sew the blue ovals to
the inner corners of the white pieces.
*Note: you can make two small cuts in
the white pieces to get the blue piece
to sit flatter, so it doesn’t stick out.

• Glue/sew the eyes to the sides of the head. The bottoms of the eyes should sit about 3
rounds below the top of the trunk.
• Glue/sew the small pink ovals to the sides of the head, they should sit about one round
below the eyes & one stitch to the side of the hair piece.

• Pin the tail to the back of the body & sew it to the
body.
• Using pins, place pins about 4 rounds below the
bottoms of the eyes (see picture)
• Using a piece of black yarn or black embroidery
floss, embroider the mouth on the right side (the
character’s left side) of the face. When finished,
tie the ends into a knot & bury them in the head.
