A. HOW TO APPLY
Candidates are advised to download PAU prospectus and read it carefully before applying.
Applicants have to pay ` 3500/- for each Entrance Test that includes the cost of downloaded form/
Prospectus (` 610/- for additional option in MET-Agri & MET-Community Science). Applicants who
apply for multiple entrance test will have to pay additional ` 1500/- for each.
A valid unique e-mail ID is necessary to fill each application form.
1. The candidates are advised to visit PAU website www.pau.edu and click the following link page on the
website:

2. A clear and recent passport size coloured photograph with size upto 50 KB in JPG/JPEG format and
scanned copy of signature (black/blue) with size upto 50 KB are required for uploading while filling
online application form.
3. After filling the application form, the candidate is required to click the ‘SUBMIT’ button.
4. Candidates must ensure that e-mail address and mobile number provided in the Online
Application Form are their own as the same shall be used by the university to convey the important
information/ communication.
5. A verification link will be sent to the candidate’s e-mail ID. Candidate has to click on the verification
link to complete submission process of the application.

6. After verification, the candidate has to login using his e-mail ID and Date of Birth in order to download
& print the application form and pay application fee. A unique identity (UID) number will appear on
the top of the application form. In order to pay fee, the candidate will be provided two modes:
(a) Online payment (credit card / debit card / net banking)
(b) Challan mode
(a) If a candidate wishes to pay using online mode, then he/she has to click pay online and make
payment. After successful payment, the candidate should print the transaction statement.
(b) If a candidate wishes to pay using challan form, the candidate can download the Bank Challan
Form of HDFC Bank using the link "Download Challan Form". A Unique Identity (UID) number
will appear on the top of the application form as well as on the Bank Challan Form. After taking
the print-out of challan, the candidate has to visit any branch of the above mentioned bank with
the relevant Challan Form in order to deposit fee as mentioned on the Challan Form.
7. Candidates are advised to keep checking PAU website www.pau.edu and also check their e-mail/SMS
regularly for latest updates.
8. PAU disclaims any liability that may arise to the candidate(s) due to incorrect information provided by
the candidate(s) during online registration process.
B. DOWNLOADING ADMIT CARDS*
1. The admit card of the entrance test can be downloaded by clicking on the link “Click here to download
your Roll No.”, on the PAU website (www.pau.edu) by entering the:
• Date of Birth and UID (UID will appear on the top of application form as well as on the Bank
Challan Form downloaded and printed by the candidate).
2. All applicants must bring a photo ID proof i.e. Aadhaar ID or Driving Licence or PAN Card or Voter
ID or Passport in original (not photocopy or scanned copy) along with the downloaded admit card
on the examination day, otherwise he/she will not be allowed to appear in the Entrance Test.
3. In case any applicant is not able to download his/her admit card, he/she may contact the office of
The Registrar, Thapar Hall, PAU, Ludhiana, two working days before the date of Entrance Test
alongwith a copy of application form and original receipt of Bank Challan Form (issued by the
bank) and two passport size photographs.
4. No enquiries regarding admit card will be entertained on the day of Entrance Test.
*Admit card will be uploaded on PAU website 7 days before the conduct of Entrance Test.
C. RESULT / COUNSELLING
1. The result will be notified by the Registrar and will be displayed on the University website (www.pau.
edu).
2. A white application form shall be uploaded by university with the Entrance Test result on its
website (www.pau.edu). The candidate should download this application form and fill it in his/
her own hand and bring it at the time of counselling/interview, along with all the documents in
original as well as two sets of photocopies of the same.
3. Candidates called for counselling should reach the venue on the scheduled date and time as per coun-
selling schedule given in the Prospectus (Chapter-VII) or uploaded on PAU website: www.pau.edu
along with the result of Entrance Test. NO SEPARATE INFORMATION WILL BE SENT.
4. The university will not pay any TA/DA or other expenses for appearing in the entrance test/counselling/
interview.

5. For Masters’ and Ph.D. programmes, only the candidate, who obtains 20% marks in the Entrance Test,
will be eligible for counselling. Further, Ph.D, candidates are also required to obtain 20% marks in
Objective and Subjective tests, individually, to be eligible for counselling/interview.
6. At the time of counselling/document verification, the candidate is required to deposit the full FEE in
CASH immediately ON THE SPOT, failing which, the seat will be offered to the next candidate on the
merit list.
D. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTRANCE TEST
1. All Entrance Tests will start at 10:00 A.M. on the prescribed dates. The candidates must reach the
Centre of Examination at 9:00 A.M. sharp. No entry after 10:15 A.M. under any circumstance will be
allowed.
2. Admission to the Examination Centre will be on production of the Admit Card and original ID proof
i.e. Aadhaar Card or Driving Licence or PAN Card or Voter Card or Passport (not photocopy or scanned
copy) to the Staff at the Centre, otherwise no entry will be allowed.
3. Candidates will be permitted to appear for the Entrance Test only after the credentials are verified by
the Centre officials from Admit Card and original ID.
4. The candidates are advised to locate the Examination Centre and its accessibility one day before the
examination so that they can reach the Examination Centre on time.
5. Candidates are not allowed to carry Mobile phones, bluetooth devices, head phones, buttonhole
cameras, calculators or any kind of electronic devices, books, notebooks, digital pen, digital watch or
any other paper/material etc. in the Examination Hall. There is no facility for safekeeping of personal
belongings of the candidates outside the Examination Hall and the University will not be responsible
for any loss.
6. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the Entrance Test wearing belts, bracelets, goggles and caps.
7. Any candidate having in his/her possession or accessible to him/her papers/books or notes which may
possibly be for providing assistance, or copying from any paper/book or note or allowing any other
candidate to copy from his/her answer sheet or found writing on any other paper, or using or attempting
to use any other unfair means will be expelled from the Entrance Test.
8. Any candidate, who creates disturbance of any kind during the Entrance Test or otherwise misbehaves
in or around the Examination Centre or changes his/her seat will be expelled.
9. Frisking of the candidates can be done at the Centre.
10. The decision of the Centre Superintendent/Coordinator/Controller of Examinations to expel a candidate
from the Examination Centre will be final.
11. If a candidate puts any identification mark on the OMR sheet, the same shall be cancelled. The decision
of the Controller of Examinations in this regard will be final.
12. If impersonation in the Entrance Test is detected, the candidature will be cancelled and a case will be
registered with the police.
13. Disabled candidates shall be granted extra time @ 20 minutes per hour in entrance tests as per rules.
They will have to attach a request while applying for Entrance Test along with disability certificate
issued by the competent authority.
