1. Introduction
The Changemaker Certification program helps people learn the skills and information they need
to create change in their lives, school work or jobs. This program gives interesting and helpful
experiences that help people grow personally. It also helps them develop a mindset like a
Changemaker who improves things (Parris and McInnis-Bowers, 2017). Thinking about
experiences is very important for personal and job growth, especially if you are a project
manager. Looking at and figuring out what we learn from different problems helps people find
ways to get better. It also shows them how to make smart choices in upcoming
adventures. Becoming a Changemaker needs always thinking about your experiences
(Thompson, 2014). This allows managers to change and improve their jobs well. The goal of this
task is to write down and check the experiences we get from joining a main workshop, helping in
a project, and being part of different events. By thinking about this, people can make their
responses better and use strengths to lead organization plans. This report will finally help you
grow as a person and advance in your job. It is also useful for people who manage projects to
make changes in their personal lives and work life.
Understanding the different views and talents of a team is very important for helping creativity
grow and reaching project targets (Rosso, 2014). People were told to work on their talking skills
so they can work better with others in the team and control what everyone expects from them. In
the end, people were shown different tools and methods for handling change projects. These
include ways of planning projects, checking who is involved and looking at hazards. They can
help learn how to work together in a smart way that changes quickly with project
teams. Learning these useful skills gives project managers the needed information and tools to
handle hard tasks well. This also helps them lead change successfully through big projects
(Ramazani and Jergeas, 2015). By joining the Core Workshop, people learned more about the
Changemaker Mindset and how it can be used in managing projects. These lessons not only help
people grow personally but also get them ready to lead change projects well and motivate
creativity in their workplaces.
In the Changemaker Certificate Level 1 program, I had a chance to take part in an important
school project. The project had a noble and health-oriented focus of creating a meticulously
compiled and visually captivating poster, with a title to match: "Heroes for a Healthy Heart." The
main goal of our project was to start an effort focused on making people more aware of how
important good health and well-being are, including heart health. The goals were many and
important. Each one was necessary for our project to finish well like the others. The first action
was to do wide and strong research, looking through many science works, papers on studies, and
pieces of writing. We used the details we could find about heart health from these sources. The
aim wasn't just to get lots of data, but to make sure it was correct. This is very important when
dealing with a big topic like this. Next, we took the important data we gathered and turned it into
a simple way to understand. We made sure the important lessons we learned would be easy to see
by anyone looking at our poster, no matter who they are. Finally, we wanted to fix this problem
of society. Using the details given, our goal was helpful ideas and good suggestions for
motivating health in general across everyone (Alexandrowicz and Rogers, 2022).
I had different tasks in the project, both helping out and managing it. My job included lots of
different parts. I helped come up with ideas, gave important tips on what the poster should say
and look like, and also was involved in making it really nice to see. I, as the project manager, had
to make sure our project ran well (Nicholas and Steyn, 2020). This meant working together with
the team, making sure everyone was on track and their jobs were matching our goals and
deadlines. I also had to talk clearly in the group, making sure everyone knew their jobs and
progress was being made as expected. I also had the job of writing notes during our meetings,
making sure all talks and big choices were carefully noted down (Holmes and Stubbe, 2015).
This project gave me a chance to use the important ideas and rules from my Core Workshop.
They are part of the Changemaker Certificate program that I learned earlier. A big idea I often
used was keeping a mindset for growth (Karwowski, 2014). When we had problems big or small,
our growth mindset helped us see those issues not as dead-ends but as chances for improvement.
This made the project better too. I also found out why empathy is important when working with
my team members. By knowing how they feel and seeing things from their point of view, we
could build a strong team where everyone gets along (Moudatsou et al., 2020).
My job on this project gave me many chances where it was very much like the daily life of a
real-world boss. Just like a project manager, we had to begin our job from the very
beginning. Making a first plan, doing research work with others and putting together our team -
all these steps needed careful thinking out in advance (Hammond, Keeney and Raiffa, 2015). We
also had to manage other people's needs well, talk clearly from the start until we finished making
an academic poster that everyone would be happy about using at meetings etc. These important
project skills, learned by doing real projects, led to a better understanding and improved way of
managing future real-life projects (Geithner and Menzel, 2016).
This project gave me a chance to show off my abilities and showed many talents. I showed my
ability to organize by leading a team well and handling time schedules effectively for the
project. My skill to lead and encourage the team was clear in how I made a place at work where
everyone felt important and pushed to give their best for our common aims. My ability to think
critically was very important when I came up with ideas and made the poster (Poster,
2019). Looking at and putting together different facts in a clear way that looks good stressed the
need for careful thinking. In this project, I used these skills. Many of them were learned and
strengthened while attending the Changemaker Certificate program. The things I learned from
this project helped me more than just school stuff. They also teach me how to apply these ideas
in real-life situations. This project has made me learn about the ideas that drive change. It also
showed me what's important for future projects and a good job as someone who manages these
efforts (Burke and Noumair, 2015).
Beyond being part of the project, I also looked for other ways to add knowledge from Level 1
Changemaker Certificate program. I did many tasks to learn more about the job and duties of a
project manager for change projects. For example, I joined a few team games and active classes
where we played out real-life project situations. These made-up situations gave real help for the
problems a project manager might have. They showed how to deal with them well. Reading
books and studying cases on the subject also gave me a deeper understanding of its role.
Volunteering in social events let me learn what it takes to be in charge by giving direct
experience with these tasks (Verzuh, 2015).
A big part of these tasks was learning new ideas and methods. I could use them not only for the
project but also in everyday life situations. For example, I learned about different ways to
manage projects like Agile and Waterfall (Thesing, Feldmann and Burchardt, 2021). I also found
out how to use project planning tools like Trello and Asana. These greatly helped me get better at
organizing, watching over, and taking care of projects properly. These computer programs, along
with learned theories, gave a complete picture of how real-life projects are controlled. For
example, learning about solving problems and how important it is to keep growing has helped
me handle arguments better (Bean and Melzer, 2021).
The deep understanding of project management ideas and the practice gained from classes have
greatly affected my job direction. After doing this course, I feel ready and sure to move into a
project manager job. The mix of skills I've learned has made me see how companies work and
manage projects to get the best results. The things I learned and did in this program will help me
a lot as I start new jobs managing projects.
4. Conclusion
The Changemaker Certificate Level 1 program was both educational and life-changing. It gave
me crucial experiences which helped grow my understanding of many different parts involved in
project management. Working on the "Healthy Heart Heroes" poster project was very important
because it gave a real chance to use ideas learned during study. I had to do different jobs like
being on a team and leading projects. This made me understand how important it is to be flexible
and ready for anything at work. By carefully handling these jobs I was able to sharpen my
teamwork, leading others, planning ahead and effective speaking skills. These are very important
for managing projects. My after-school activities, like attending workshops and seminars or
studying books on my own added more worth to how much I learned. They gave a bigger
perspective, helping us better know what a Change Maker Project Manager's job and duties
are. In the end, my time in the Changemaker Certificate Level 1 program has been very useful. It
made sure I have a strong base for future jobs where I can help organizations and people by
managing projects.
