I. Objective
This document will cover all the steps for installation of JAVA (JRE and JDK), Teamcenter
Client Communication system (TCCS), SSO, SolidWorks integration with Teamcenter X.
II. Software Configurations.
We have used below version of software for Integration of SolidWorks with Teamcenter X.

III. Install SWIM.

1) Open an installable kit for SWIM (14.0.0) as shown in below screenshot.
2) Run swimsetup.exe in administrator mode.

3) Select Next option as shown below.
4) Select Next option as shown in below.

5) Select Teamcenter 14 option.
6) Select “Basic” option as shown in below.

7) Select directory as shown below (C:\Apps\Siemens\Swim)
8) Select “On the Desktop” as shown below.

9) Select “Teamcenter TCCS Subsystem” option and select next.
10) Enter “C:\Apps\Siemens\Teamcenter14\tccs” as folder path.
Note: Give the directory of TCCS installation.

11)Give a path “C:\Apps\Java\JRE11” path in the JAVA directory.
Note: Give the path of JAVA JRE installation if it is installed at some other location give the same path.
12) Select “No Action” and Next option.

13) Select “Enable” Option.
14)Give “SolidWorks Data “directory as shown in below.

15)Select “No” option as shown below.
16)Select “Install” option.

17) Select “Next” option.
18) Select “Done” option.
19) Open SolidWorks in Native mode.

20) Open AddIn as shown below.

21)Unselect all the option except Teamcenter, As shown below.
22)Select “Teamcenter integration for “SolidWorks” option available on desktop and run this as a
administrator to open SolidWorks in integrated mode.

23) It will open SolidWorks in integrated mode as shown in below.

24) Select File→New option.
25) Select the required custom template as shown below.

24) Select “Yes” option to enable save option in Teamcenter X.
25) Enter the mail id in the browser to log in into Teamcenter X.

26) We will get log in window as shown in below, once user is logged in into Teamcenter X.

27) Open “SolidWorks” session, which is open in navigator, please select on “New” option.

28) Select Item Revision and sequence 001 or A from drop down and please select “ItemRevision” and
fill the attributes.
29) Create the design in SolidWorks.

30) Assign Material from Material from SolidWorks as mentioned below.
Note: The Material which we assigned through CAD will used to calculate the weight of Design.
31) Select the Material as shown below.
Note: Please assign a material here, the material which is assigned here will be used for calculation of
Weight.

32) Select Evaluate→Mass Properties option as shown in below.
33) Select Recalculate option to calculate weight.

34) Select File→Properties option.
35) Select the values of custom properties as per requirement.

36) After filling required values for custom properties please select Teamcenter→Save option to save
item into Teamcenter X.
37)Please enter the weight manually during Save operation.

38) After Saving item to Teamcenter X please log in to AWC link, Select Advanced search→Enter Item
ID→click on search→Please select object section to open Item Revision.
38) User will be able to see values for the custom attributes entered by user.
IV. To Open Item Revision from Teamcenter X to SolidWorks.

1) Select Open→ “Open in SolidWorks” option as shown in below.

2) It will download “openinmcadswim.xml” file please open the downloaded file.
3) Select Open option as shown in below.

4) Select Ok option as shown below.

5) Select Cancel option as shown in below.
1) It will Open respective item revision in SolidWorks.

III. Install SWIM.

19) Open SolidWorks in Native mode.

25) Select the required custom template as shown below.

29) Create the design in SolidWorks.

31) Select the Material as shown below.

33) Select Recalculate option to calculate weight.

35) Select the values of custom properties as per requirement.

37)Please enter the weight manually during Save operation.

IV. To Open Item Revision from Teamcenter X to SolidWorks.

3) Select Open option as shown in below.

1) It will Open respective item revision in SolidWorks.
